Rylo came in with another dog as an owner surrender. Unfortunately they could no longer care for them so he is currently at the shelter. Rylo is a little bit over a year old and is a retriever mix. He walks well on leash, and already knows the "sit" cue. Rylo may take some time to warm up to people, but so far he is doing quite well with making new friends slowly! Rylo is a playful pup and would do best in an active home, where his new family can take him on some outdoor adventures! I am an intelligent dog who is always eager to please and I love to show my human friends just how smart I am. I enjoy spending my days playing, exploring, and snuggling up with my human friends when it is time to rest. While I have been told I am good with other dogs, I have not had the chance to interact with many other pups. If you are looking for a furry friend who will be your loyal companion, I am the perfect dog for you! Please consider adopting me and making me a part of your family. Kids must be 8 or older to focus on training puppy. Local adopters only in NY, NJ and CT within 30 miles of NYC. Please note we will only adopt where we have trainers as this is required. We do not have a trainer in Suffolk County (if you are very far out), Bronx or Staten Island. Loki would be great with someone with a flexible schedule to give him time to decompress and continue crate training him.
