What’s amazing is that her spirit remains completely unbroken. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate—truly a “super snuggler” who loves to be close to her people. She’s well-behaved (doing well with house training), easygoing, and gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets, including other dogs and people of all ages. Their mom is an AKC registered Golden Retriever weighing about 50–55 lbs, but Othello and his siblings clearly took a different path when it came to looks. They’re all black and look absolutely nothing like their golden mama, which makes their Golden Retriever / Shar Pei mix story even more entertaining. Genetics really likes to keep us guessing! What Othello did inherit from mom is the sweet personality. This boy and his littermates are incredibly affectionate and love being with their people. If you’re sitting, Othello will happily climb into your lap. If you’re standing, he’ll be right by your side making sure he doesn’t miss out on any pets.
