I’m spayed, microchipped, house-trained, up-to-date on shots, and looking for a loyal human who understands the needs of large-breed dogs. Raised during the pandemic, I love being close to my person—lounging, following you around, or riding in the car. I greet you with a toy, zoom around the yard, and enjoy being part of your day. I’m affectionate, curious, protective, and playful. I walk well on a leash, sit before meals, and wait patiently for love. But I need to be the only pet in a calm home—no other animals or small children. I’ve had issues sharing attention and had a recent incident with another dog. I’ve never shown aggression to people but need time to warm up to guests. If you’re an experienced dog owner who understands the deep bond Great Danes form, I’d love to meet you. I have so much love to give—I just need the right person to give it to.

Meet Bjorn, our resident gentle giant. A 102 pound Great Dane, Rhodesian ridgeback dog, with a lot of love to give. With a lot of dog, comes a lot of affection, Bjorn loves his people and playmates to run around with. He is the sweetest boy, who constantly wants to be around someone to cuddle with and shower with love. If exercise and fitness is for you, Bjorn would make the perfect running partner as he love to keep pace and run next to you. Or cuddle up on the sofa with a giant teddy bear of a dog. Bjorn would do great with a family with a yard and the space to provide a loving home. Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
