Story
Sam (FKA Pan) Is Available For Adoption!🩵 This precious dog was abandoned by his owner & very sad when he was rescued. Since being in a loving foster home, he's much happier. He absolutely adores people & has become somewhat of a velcro dog.🥰 His foster mom says, "He has the sweetest habit: he gently hides himself behind the shower curtain and lies there waiting for us to brush our teeth or whatever. It seems like he feels safe there. Such a cutie.💜 He is truly a lovely dog!" Sam (Pan) has been examined by a vet & other than being underweight from not being fed properly, he's a healthy boy! He's been vaccinated, dewormed & heartworm tested negative. He is neutered & he's approx 8 years of age. He's still underweight at 92 lbs, but eating better every day! Sam is the most gentle-natured giant. He's wonderful with all animals & kids. He enjoys being outside with whoever wants to hang out. He likes to play with other dogs too! (See video) He'd make an amazing companion. Please consider giving him a forever where he can live out his golden years surrounded by love.💞 🎶Watch Sam's music video--> https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1EZgBNQh5B/ For more videos & pictures, please reach out! Story
Alfie is a handsome 3-year-old Great Dane/Poodle mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and in excellent health. He's looking for an active family who can give him plenty of exercise and adventure. Alfie is a gentle giant who absolutely adores people. He has been raised in a home with four children and is incredibly loving, patient, and affectionate with kids of all ages. He enjoys being close to his family, lounging indoors, and soaking up attention from his favorite humans. Alfie is crate trained, leash trained and understands basic household routines. He knows basic commands such as sit and down, and he is eager to please. He is intelligent, affectionate, and thrives when he receives consistent structure and attention. Whether he's spending time with his family or showing off his good manners, Alfie is happiest when he is included in everyday life. One of Alfie's favorite activities is going for car rides. He happily loads up and enjoys being part of the adventure, whether it's a quick trip around town or a longer outing. He also does exceptionally well when boarded and adjusts comfortably to boarding environments, making him an easy companion for families who travel or occasionally need pet care services. Alfie currently lives with another large female dog and has been successful in that environment. However, he can be selective about other animals and would benefit from slow, proper introductions to any new pets. Because every dog relationship is different, we believe Alfie would thrive either as an only pet receiving all of the attention or in a home with an experienced owner who is willing to carefully manage introductions and ensure a good fit. Alfie enjoys having space to stretch his long legs, explore, and spend time outdoors, so a securely fenced yard would be ideal for him. While he enjoys outdoor time, he is happiest when he is with his family and included in daily life. Alfie has so much love to give and deserves a home that understands his needs and can provide the attention, stability, and companionship he craves. In return, he will reward his family with endless loyalty, affection, and plenty of goofy Great Dane charm. His adoption fee is $125. He is currently in a foster home, so if you are interested in making Alfie part of your family, please submit an adoption application located here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. September 12, 2026, 7:23 pm

Story
Phoenix is a stunning female Great Dane with a gentle spirit and a resilient heart. She’s the kind of girl who carries a quiet strength—steady, observant, and always ready to connect once she feels safe and secure in her surroundings. Phoenix currently has a small growth that will need to be removed and a slight cherry eye, both of which are manageable and being addressed as part of her continued care. She is also underweight and will need a family committed to helping her gain healthy condition through proper nutrition and patience. Despite her needs, Phoenix’s temperament shines through beautifully. She gets along wonderfully with all dogs and enjoys calm, respectful canine companionship. She is social in a balanced way—not overly pushy, just content to be part of the pack and share space peacefully. Because of her curiosity and active nature, Phoenix requires a minimum 6-foot securely fenced yard. She is still learning boundaries and will do best in a home where safety and structure are a priority, especially during her adjustment period. Phoenix is ready for a fresh start—one filled with stability, care, and the kind of love that helps her truly thrive. Perfect Home for Phoenix Secure 6-foot fenced yard (required) Patient adopters willing to help her gain healthy weight Can live with other dogs of any size with proper introductions A calm or moderately active environment where she can settle in and build confidence People who understand that she’s still a work in progress and worth every bit of effort Phoenix is not broken—she’s simply unfinished. With the right home, she’s going to bloom into a beautiful, confident girl who finally gets to feel safe, strong, and loved. Please spread the word to help Phoenix find her forever family! Story
Speckles is a beautiful double merle Great Dane with a heart as big as her paws and a spirit that shines through in everything she does. This beautiful, deaf girl has learned to navigate the world in her own unique way, relying on her keen awareness and deep connection with her people. True to the Velcro Dane nickname, Speckles forms strong bonds and thrives on companionship. She wants to be near her humans as much as possible, finding comfort and joy simply by being by your side. Her affectionate nature makes her an incredibly loyal and loving companion. Speckles is house trained and understands the routines of home life well. While she is familiar with a crate, it tends to cause her anxiety, so she would do best in a home where crating is not necessary and she can feel safe and secure in a more open environment. She gets along well with other dogs when given proper, thoughtful introductions. With a little patience at the start, she settles in nicely and can enjoy the company of her canine companions. Speckles has a bit of a story written on her—she carries some scarring around her neck from a prior injury. Because of this, she wears a thunder shirt to provide gentle pressure and protection, helping prevent her from re-injuring the area. It also brings her an added sense of comfort. Speckles would do best in a home where she can be close to her people and not left alone for long periods. A family experienced with deaf dogs—or willing to learn how to communicate with her through touch and visual cues—would be ideal. A calm environment, patient introductions to other dogs, and a crate-free lifestyle will help her thrive. Most of all, she needs a home full of love, understanding, and the kind of devotion she so freely gives in return. White Kisses requires all dogs to be in training within thirty days of adoption.
