Story
3/10/22: Nova now needs a new experienced foster home or forever home as the only dog. She did great with adopter's 2 adult dogs but now at 9 mos. old she wants to the top alpha dog at home. With her people she is very sweet smart attentive treat motivated and loves snuggling. She needs to be the only dog in home. No other dog or cats in home. From her foster/adopters: She is a big active girl who loves walks playing fetch and splashing around in her kiddie pool. Nova was originally adopted by her foster family who have had her since she was 9 weeks old and absolutely adore her. Unfortunately despite growing up with their other dogs and doing great with them as a small puppy as she grew to be the largest member of the pack she became reactive toward other dogs. Her family has worked with trainers on this issue. She is a very smart girl and is improving in public settings. Unfortunately Nova is just not well-suited for life in a multi-dog household. Nova is cuddly and lovable with her people. She is a highly trainable girl as she is very food-motivated and a fast learner. She has been through puppy training and excelled in agility activities. She does well in a crate. Nova is a sweet girl who just needs some solo attention. She would do well with an experienced handler in a home with no other animals or small children. https://photos.app.goo.gl/ejWd5yRDRpNBCQCt8 Below is from Nova's original posting in 2021: We took in Nova from a kind lady that rescued her mom from a field in Bakersfield. Mom was starved and very skinny. Most likely dumped. Soon mom gave birth to one puppy. The guardian took her mom to her vet and had x-rays done and no other pups. Nova is very special. Lady that found her already has 2 dogs (one senior dog with medical needs) and busy work schedule so she asked us to take in Nova to ensure her puppy training care and socials. Nova is doing great at her foster home. She has huge paws double rare dew claws fluffy and very sweet. Not sure what breed mix she is. Mom is 60 lbs and very sweet. She will need a home with yard prefer another dog at home and experience with large dogs. Nova will be ready in 2-3 weeks after all her vet care. More info. to come. 8/21/21 update: It took her 4-5 days to start playing with foster home's dog. Will chase the ball and chewing. Does like to dig. Loves food and treats. Going out to yard for potty biz and few accidents inside.November 4, 2024, 2:12 pm

Story
Olaf is a 94-pound cuddle bug with soft, soulful eyes that seem to look right into your heart. This big, lovable guy is all about affection—he adores petting and being close to his humans.?? Gentle but BIG: Olaf is still learning that not everyone appreciates his excited “hello” jumps. While he’s gentle with his weight, his size makes it clear he’s a big boy who could use some training to refine his manners.?? Eager Learner: He’s working on “sit” and “down” and is ready to keep learning with a patient and loving family.?? Cool, Calm, and Collected: Olaf is a low-energy pup who takes life at a leisurely pace. He’s been a chill companion around other dogs, even when others are going wild nearby—Olaf keeps his cool.?? Home-Ready: Olaf appears to be house-trained, adding to his charm as a wonderful addition to your family. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, low-energy buddy who loves attention and has plenty of love to give, Olaf is ready to meet you!?? Come meet Olaf and see if he’s your perfect match! ??At Tri-City Animal Shelter, we make sure every pet is adoption-ready with vaccinations, flea treatments, deworming, and medical care. Story
My dad adopted Luna from his friends when she was a couple weeks old. The family we got her from already had several dogs, some of which did not get along with Luna. She was born around April in 2021 and is currently 3 years old. She's very sweet and affectionate around people she's familiar with and loves being petted. However, she get's very anxious around strangers and large crowds. As a result, she can get very noisy if she sees or hears strangers approaching "her" house. I love Luna, but unfortunately, I am moving overseas and I can't taker her with me. My dad has passed away and I don't expect my mom to take care of her by herself. I live in San Leandro, CA. Please let me know if you're interested.

I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereMeet Timberland – your future fluffy companion! This 5-year-old, 65-pound gentle giant is a heart-melter with his adorable prance and big, fluffy coat. Timberland may have started out as a stray, but he's now ready to find a loving home that appreciates his calm and affectionate nature. Timberland loves his walks and trots like a pro on the leash with a gentle pace. He's medium energy and enjoys the occasional playful wrestling with dog friends. He could be a great match for another playful dog, or even a solo dog if you're looking for a chill companion. He gets along well with both big and little dogs in his foster home. This cuddle-loving boy adores snuggling up with people, and while he’s friendly and affectionate, he might need a home where his size and enthusiasm won’t overwhelm smaller kids or anyone sensitive to his big dog hugs. He's a bit of a counter-surfer and enjoys sniffing around, but he’s also well-behaved, and spends time quietly lounging around the house, even when left alone. Timberland is great in the car, loves to show off his sit command, and though he's not into toys, he's a total love bug. Could Timberland be the loving, low-key buddy you're looking for? Story
Sunny days are here for our sweet girl Sunny! She had a rough start in life, but we were able to rescue her and things have been looking up ever since!!! Sunny is around 9-12 mos old and we think she is a purebred Pyr. She is super sweet but she also has her protective side. We think she would be a great guardian dog but she has not been tested. She is fostered with many other dogs and loves to play but can get protective around her humans. She is super food motivated for easy training. She loves to be outside and has indoor/outdoor access thru a doggy door. She is doing great on her potty training. If you are interested in meeting Sunny please fill out an application https://www.ozziespoundpuppies.org/applications/adoption-application/ Adoption fee is $300 and includes spay, vaccines, microchip and Nexgard.

These pups are in Pleasanton, California too!

Story
Cody was adopted from a shelter on June 1st 2024. Once neutered we were able to take him home. At the time, the shelter estimated Cody to be about 10 months old. So if that’s true then he is about 1yr & 4 mos old now. Cody is a sweet giant (76lbs) . He doesn’t realize his own strength and size. He plays well with all types and size dogs at the doggie park. He is full of energy at this stage in life (teenage). Cody received basic training (10 days) at a local boarding & training facility, learning basic commands. He needs more practice on his recall, jumping, and heeling behaviors. We have two young children and he guards them with his life, however, his high energy is a little bit too much for the children. Our schedules are getting busy with each week and we are unable to give Cody the time needed for him to release his high energy. Cody needs a loving home that can provide him attention, energy and time in a family with older children (adolescents).
