Adopt Athena! This beautiful puppy is a great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix. She was a litter of 12 and we are able to help eight of them. 4 were given away by the owners. The owners had several dogs who were not fixed and had an accidental litter. Athena is a very sweet dog who loves to play and will be a bigger dog as she grows. She’s going to be a loyal companion and has been around farm animals/dogs. She was great with kids and a very great temperament. Mya is a newly-rescued, shy girl who is still settling into the world. She will need a calm, patient home that allows her to acclimate at her own pace and build confidence slowly. She is very food-motivated, does well with other dogs, and has been good with kids. Mya is also calm around cats and mostly just observes them. She doesn’t enjoy being alone and will do best in a home where someone is around often or willing to help her work through separation anxiety. At night, Mya loves sleeping on the bed with her person and finds comfort being close. With time, consistency, and kindness, she has the potential to become a devoted and loving companion.

He is very gentle and affectionate and enjoys cuddling, sleeping near his person, and being part of a calm daily routine. When he meets new people, he can get excited and likes to “hug” as a way of saying hello. He does well on walks, transitions calmly on leash, and responds well to structure and guidance. Appa enjoys companionship, consistency, and having a space where he feels secure. Appa would thrive best as the only pet, or in a home without small dogs or cats. He is not dog-reactive on walks or outside the home, but he can become territorial with other animals in his personal space. He is a wonderful dog who deserves a home that matches his needs, ideally with experienced owners, older children or teens, and no small animals. Our goal is to find Appa a safe, loving home where he can fully settle in and be his best self.

Here is a note from his foster: We fostered Dogbert over the Holidays and he was the best first foster we could have asked for. Dogbert is a very chill senior gentleman who is wonderful around people and kids and absolutely loves a good nap. Despite his laid-back nature, he's far from aloof - he adores loving head and belly scratches and will gently ask for more if you stop. His calm knows no bounds - he barely even lifts his head when new people enter the home, and he was the gentlest giant with our young nieces. Dogbert is also a great listener. He patiently waited for an "okay" before heading down the stairs to our backyard and always listened when it was time to come back in. He's polite, easygoing, and a joy to have around. Dogbert would thrive in a home where he has a cozy place to relax, lots of love, and humans who appreciate a calm, affectionate companion. We feel so lucky to have spent time with him and can't recommend him enough.Dogbert is currently cuddled up in a foster home right now taking a break from the shelter.
