Story
Mr. Pickles is a 11-month-old Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd mix who is truly the definition of a gentle giant. He’s bigger than most puppies his age, but he is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loves to cuddle. He will happily plop down on top of you for kisses and attention! He is partially deaf and responds to certain pitches, but he has learned hand signals for sit, lay down, come, and “look at me.” He’s smart, eager to learn, and would thrive with continued training. I use a vibrating collar that I will include, along with his toys, bed, and bowls. Mr. Pickles loves running in the grass, watching other dogs play, and playing tug-of-war and fetch. He would do best in a home with a yard and someone who has the time and space to give him the life he deserves. Mr. Pickles is truly a special dog with so much love to give. He deserves a home where he can stretch his legs, continue learning, and be someone’s loyal best friend for life. 💛

Story
Orion is a is a sweet friendly puppy who does well with all dogs and even cats. He is working on his potty training and leash skills right now. He will need a home who can provide consistency in training and routine for a growing pup. Orion is going to grow into a big dog (we’re estimating 100+ pounds!) and will need a fenced yard with space to stretch his legs. Important to note: Great Pyrenees are livestock guardian dogs bred to protect, but with early training they can be wonderful family companions. Resource guarding is a normal instinct in this breed and is very manageable with consistent, positive guidance from a young age. People with Guardian breed experience are encouraged to apply. Please be home every 2-3 hours during this important developmental and bonding stage. Interested in meeting Orion? Fill out an application and you will be contacted. Thank you!

Story
Raya is a beautiful female Great Pyrenees who was found running loose in Richmond, CA. Raya was very scared and timid when she first came to Jelly's and wouldn't leave her kennel or take treats from staff or volunteers. She has made a lot of progress and now happily comes out of her kennel and enjoys going to the yard where she plays with stuffed animals and munches on treats. Raya is a true example of her breed. She lets you know if a stranger walks nearby and is a great protector. Raya also has a lot of personality. She has her own ideas about what she wants to do and how she wants to do it! Getting to know her is a great pleasure in unlocking the mystery of what makes her tick! Inside Raya is a very affectionate, loving, and spunky gal. Raya is NOT for a first time dog owner. She needs extra time meeting new people or being in new environments, so would do best in a quiet, all-adult, peaceful, predictable home with no other animals. Raya will be spayed, UTD on vaccines and microchipped as part of the adoption process. If you would like to meet Raya, apply at jellysplace.org/forms

Story
Oatmeal is a 1 1/2 year old Great Pyrenees mix. She is potty trained, walks well on a leash, and loves the outdoors. She is great with dogs and cats but needs proper introduction with them. She knows basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down, leave it, and paw. She is very hesitant about kids and will bark at them but has never been aggressive. I am rehoming her due to changes in my home life and a new job that will have me gone for 10+ hours a day.

Story
Meet Prairie! This adorable Great Pyrenees (with a bit of Golden Retriever in her) is a gentle soul and affectionate cuddler who is truly coming into her own after decompressing in a loving foster home. She’s quickly acclimated to being a super sweet, loving and gentle companion and is now ready for her loving forever home. Her foster mom has given us a list of all her highlights, which include: - Prairie is an easy girl, she's fully house-trained, she loves to be around you yet is just as happy doing her own thing - whether out in the yard or just sleeping nearby. - She is fantastic with dogs of all sizes. She especially loves the dog park, where she picks out certain dogs to run and play with. She does not play aggressively; rather, she just loves to either chase or be chased. - Prairie is an athletic, outdoorsy girl who would thrive in an active family. She loves walks and hikes, but she’s just as happy to go around the block a few times and/or just play gently with her people in the back yard. 95% of the time, she’s a star on a leash (harness is better for long walks). Bonus: - Bonus: No BARK! Despite being a GP, Prairie doesn’t have the typical guard dog temperament and rarely makes a peep, except to quietly whine a bit if she wants to go out. Prairie is still a bit shy with new adults and kids, but once she knows you're safe, she's all in for pets and love! Because of this, we feel a home with calm, older kids, or no kids, will be better for her to settle in. Prairie thrives with calm guidance, lots of cuddles and kind reassurance. Once she feels safe, she is affection-motivated and enjoys quiet companionship, walks, play, and gentle love. She will need a patient, compassionate forever home who understands that trust takes time. As a Great Pyrenees, she would do best in a home with a large yard where she can stretch her legs, explore, and enjoy peaceful outdoor time. Apply today to meet this sweet lady, she's ready to settle into a loving home, could it be yours?
