Story
Mya is a newly-rescued, shy girl who is still settling into the world. She will need a calm, patient home that allows her to acclimate at her own pace and build confidence slowly. She is very food-motivated, does well with other dogs, and has been good with kids. Mya is also calm around cats and mostly just observes them. She doesn’t enjoy being alone and will do best in a home where someone is around often or willing to help her work through separation anxiety. Her happy place is the outdoors, so if you enjoy strolls on the beach and in nature, you could be the perfect match. At night, Mya loves sleeping on the bed with her person and finds comfort being close. With time, consistency, and kindness, she has the potential to become a devoted and loving companion.

Story
Raya is a beautiful female Great Pyrenees who was found running loose in Richmond, CA. Raya was very scared and timid when she first came to Jelly's and wouldn't leave her kennel or take treats from staff and volunteers. She has made a lot of progress and now happily comes out of her kennel and enjoys going to the yard where she plays with stuffed animals and munches on treats. Raya is a true example of her breed. She let's you know if a stranger walks nearby and is a great protector. Raya is NOT for a first time dog owner. She needs extra time meeting new people or being in new environments, so would do best in a quiet, all adult peaceful, predictable home with no other animals. Raya will be spayed, UTD on vaccines and microchipped as part of the adoption process. If you would like to meet Raya, apply at jellysplace.org/forms

Story
Gracie is a love... a BIG love! Though she is 66 pounds and should be at least 70, so she is not a huge Pyr at all. She sports a fairly manageable single coat with some undercoat but not a ton of extra fur like a big, classic Pyr, likely she could be a mix. Gracie had entropia surgery on one eye and that is mostly all healed up. She walks well on leash and is dog friendly, but can guard her food a bit with humans perhaps a bit and dogs, she was very thin, and needs a "Bottomless bowl for awhile which should help her with food anxiety, but this is why we have added the kids over 10 years attribute. Gracie is a very lovely girl deserving of a home with people to love, who understand Pyrs, and other critters too.....

Story
Meet Prairie! This adorable Great Pyrenees (with a bit of Golden Retriever in her) is a gentle soul and affectionate cuddler who is truly coming into her own after decompressing in a loving foster home. She’s quickly acclimated to being a super sweet, loving and gentle companion and is now ready for her loving forever home. Her foster mom has given us a list of all her highlights, which include: - Prairie is an easy girl, she's fully house-trained, she loves to be around you yet is just as happy doing her own thing - whether out in the yard or just sleeping nearby. - She is fantastic with dogs of all sizes. She especially loves the dog park, where she picks out certain dogs to run and play with. She does not play aggressively; rather, she just loves to either chase or be chased. - Prairie is an athletic, outdoorsy girl who would thrive in an active family. She loves walks and hikes, but she’s just as happy to go around the block a few times and/or just play gently with her people in the back yard. 95% of the time, she’s a star on a leash (harness is better for long walks). Bonus: She doesn't have much prey drive! She notices other animals (deer, turkeys, squirrels or cats) but doesn't engage or chase. - Bonus: No BARK! Despite being a GP, Prairie doesn’t have the typical guard dog temperament and rarely makes a peep, except to quietly whine a bit if she wants to go out. Prairie is still a bit shy with new adults and kids, but once she knows you're safe, she's all in for pets and love! Because of this, we feel a home with calm, older kids, or no kids, will be better for her to settle in. Prairie thrives with calm guidance, lots of cuddles and kind reassurance. Once she feels safe, she is affection-motivated and enjoys quiet companionship, walks, play, and gentle love. She will need a patient, compassionate forever home who understands that trust takes time. As a Great Pyrenees, she would do best in a home with a yard where she can stretch her legs, explore, and enjoy peaceful outdoor time. Apply today to meet this sweet lady, she's ready to settle into a loving home, could it be yours?

Story
Hank is a big beautiful 1 yr old boy that is fully/professionally trained. House trained (no accidents in over 6 months), crate trained (not a peep overnight for 9 hours even when my kids wake us up in the middle of the night), leash trained (amazing walker/ trained not to pull), well behaved in the car, loves going new places and meeting new people, takes treats gently. Hank is a mixed guardian shepherd breed and needs lots of exercise. If you have a big yard (which is needed for Hank), no need for a ball or frisbee, he will sprint around for hours by himself protecting your yard. He doesn't get along with our other male dog (8 year old lab) so we have to separate them. This is extremely difficult logistically with two other dogs and two young kids. His ideal home would have a large fenced yard and no other dogs.
