Her name says everything! We were contacted about this staff favourite that was on the kill list at a remote shelter in kern County. Anytime a Great Pyrenees is presented to us for rescue, we run towards getting the pup to safety. These are the greatest dogs. Sweet Pea is beyond sweet. What a fantastic family dog she is. She is so friendly and easy. Sweet Pea is a bomb proof dog. She came to us, filthy, matted and stinky. She is now groomed and feeling better than ever. Great beginning to er new life. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. This amazing, sweet, kind, gentle, and docile puppy is perfection. He was rescued by a beautiful woman named Joy. We are amazed, he is calm for a puppy his age. He is set to be neutered next week. He walks amazingly on the leash, kind, sweet, he was rescued from the desert where they were keeping him in the backyard in this hot CA summer. We do not know his full breed, per his photos, we believe he is most likely Lab/Retriever/Pyrenees. mix. The gentle pup is looking for his forever home. Vinnie is a mellow, sweet, and loving dog, ready to find a home to call his own. He is good with other dogs, loves all humans, and he wouldn't mind being around cats, either. He is house-trained and crate-trained but still learning his leash manners and commands. Vinnie loves to chill near his human, play with his fellow dogs, and is an avid fan of belly rubs and long cuddle sessions. He appreciates having a yard and the opportunity to sunbathe. PROPER INTRODUCTION WOULD BE NEEDED TO EVALUATE IF HE'S GOING TO GET ALONG WITH AN EXISTING DOG IN A HOME BUT BECAUSE OF HIS SIZE AND STRENGTH, WE BELIEVE HE WOULD BE A GOOD MATCH FOR A DOG HIS SIZE. APPLICANTS MUST LIVE IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES IN AN ADULT-ONLY HOME (NO APARTMENTS) WITH A PRIVATE YARD. RODEO is the definition of a Rhinestone Cowboy! Not only does he have stunning good looks, but his DNA results prove that he is quite a unique gem of Great Pyrenees/Aussie/Border Collie. Our rescue has been working with a certified professional dog trainer to help us get to know Rodeo and set him up for success. Rodeo is an incredible dog that would do best with an adopter that has experience with the large working breeds and structure in the home. He would not be a good dog for a first-time dog owner. Mostly comprised of Great Pyrenees, he has the potential to be protective of his family. He doesn’t know his own strength and size at times, so we have been working on him staying calm and focusing on his handler. Because of Rodeo’s grand stature, he would require a home with a yard (NOT AN APARTMENT) and no small children that he could inadvertently knock over or small pets. Rodeo estimated date of birth is January, 2019. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and whoever is lucky enough to adopt this rooty tooty cowboy will get an in-home dog training lesson as part of his adoption.
