Isabella is a stunning almost 2-year-old Great Pyrenees mix and a whopping 113 pounds of pure love! This gentle giant has a calm, laid-back personality and a heart as soft as her fluffy coat. She can be a bit shy in new environments or around new people, but she warms up quickly to adults and becomes a wonderfully affectionate companion. Isabella is great with both dogs and cats, and she’s even housetrained — a total bonus! Because she’s shown discomfort around children, Isabella would do best in an adult-only home where she can feel safe and relaxed. She absolutely loves food and proudly shows off her “sit” and “lay down” skills when treats are involved. Isabella enjoys long, lazy naps, sneaking in bed cuddles, and making adorable little “talking” sounds when she needs something — especially if you scratch her ears just right! Sweet, loyal, and wonderfully mellow, Isabella is ready to bring her gentle giant energy to a loving, quiet home that will cherish her right back. All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.

Story

Jack is a loveable guy. He sometimes thinks he is a lap dog. Jack is great with older kids and gentle people. Unfortunately, he is reactive to other dogs and babies/small children when in close proximity. He is pretty good at ignoring them if they ignore him. He loves to play outside, he loves to run, and he loves being loved. Jack is pretty good on a leash and knows some basic commands. Due to our small living space, limited yard, and the neighbor aggressive dog, we have made the painful decision to rehome him. This other dog is the reason Jack is scared, as the other dog got loose and attacked Jack three different occasions within a 6 week time span during when Jack was 1. He lost half an ear from these attacks. This is also a huge reason why we have found it difficult to find a groomer that can tend to his needs appropriately and within budget. Please know we love Jack and want him to be able to thrive in a better environment. One that we arent able to provide now.

Dexter is a handsome young Great Pyrenees mix who came to us as an owner surrender when his family's landlord wouldn't allow dogs and they no longer had the time to take care of him. Now this big sweetheart is ready for a new beginning and a family who loves him for his joyful spirit! Dexter is incredibly friendly with people of all ages, but due to his larger size and enthusiastic greetings, we recommend a home with older kids who won't be easily toppled by a happy tail wag and a full-body wiggle. In his previous home, Dexter loved visiting the dog park. He enjoys running around in the yard, going for walks, and soaking up as many belly rubs as he can get. If you're looking for a loyal, playful, affectionate companion who's ready for fun, Dexter is your guy!
