Vinnie would love to meet you! In fact, he loves meeting everybody! This hefty boy enjoys being around his family and meeting new friends too. He enjoys long walks, but really likes to lounge around outside in the sun. In the home, Vinnie would be best as an only pet because he does get jealous. Out and about, Vinnie absolutely loves meeting other dogs, cats, and even ferrets! Vinnie is house trained and is working on crate training, but would prefer a family where someone is home more often than not. Overall, Vinnie's such a great dog, and would be a perfect candidate to take out with you wherever you go- baseball game? Easy! Outdoor bar? Perfect! Vinnie will be your best buddy, and make new friends wherever he goes. He is the perfect wingman! Recently in November 2022, Vinnie underwent some tests due to chronic tummy issues and it was discovered he has a fiber responsive irritable bowel syndrome. Vinnie is on a special food to help, and this food does cost approximately $100/month. We know this may deter many families, but know Vinnie is so worth it and will find the right people willing to do whatever it takes to care for this special boy!   Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person. Meet Dice, a black-and-white stunner who is about to steal your heart. This sweet boy is just starting to find out how it feels to be safe and loved. Dice came to SCCR with his ribs sticking out and fur matted, a trembling ball of nerves. Dice's transformation, his foster mom reports, has been incredible. With a new confidence and love for life, Dice will happily spend his days playing with a canine friend, chewing on a stick, and trotting alongside his people. Going on walks and providing ear scratches will certainly earn you the instant love of this adoring boy. Food-motivated and always eager to please, Dice is a fast learner. Given a schedule, this large adult has been doing well with house-training. Also, Dice sticks to chewing only his own toys, does not bark, and is great both on walks and in the car. Although Dice is deathly afraid of crates, he does well left alone when confined to a room. With a heart of gold and a non-stop tail, Dice is bound to make someone very happy.
