Who can open their heart and home to Misty? Misty is an 8 yr old 68 lb great pyr/lab mix and through no fault of her own, the only family she has known since she was a puppy can no longer care for her. We need to find her a foster/foster to adopt home as soon as possible. Misty does great with cats and with other dogs. She is 8 so she would appreciate a dog who respects her space and would be content to just be there (vs one who wants to play all the time). Misty would love a nice yard or patio to lay around in when it is nice, and to be your couch or dog bed buddy when it is too cold and you just want to curl up and watch TV She is spayed, microchipped, and healthy! She is housebroken and has very good manners If you can open your heart and home this season please consider Misty.. You can foster her for a few weeks to make sure it is a good fit. Story

We are so happy at how Kennedy has come along in the short 2 weeks she has been in her new foster home Kennedy. Since she’s been here, she’s been eating and drinking like a champ, chilling with foster brother Ted, and after a short warm up period, loves anyone who comes to the house. In the past two weeks, zero accidents, she doesn’t love the crate (but goes in when you lead her to it - although she seriously doesn’t need it), and has learned to love treats from Two Bostons and Ava's Pet Palace (if you haven’t checked out Ava’s treats, your pets are missing out - these guys love everything she makes!). She also walks on a leash like a dream. She does have a few quirks - she hates loud noises - garbage trucks, school buses, snow plows (her safe space in the house is on the landing going upstairs). Her other one is that she won’t walk on the hardwood floors so there are some extra throw rugs down for her. She would love to play with other dogs, but has quickly realized her foster brother isnt a "player". We have taken her through all her vetting- spayed, rabies vaccine, distemper vaccine, bordatella vaccine, fecal negative, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Story

Hi! I’m Luthen, Lu for short! I’m a 6 month old Great Pyrenees mix or as I also hear I am a "white fluff", and I am currently being fostered with my sibling Kleya. I’m the brave one, playful, and also have a sweet gentle side. I love to get all the attention and cuddle or should I say I like to lay on my people. It doesn't matter that I'm about 45 lbs. I sleep overnight in my crate, and for about 4-5 hours during the day. You know I need to get those sleeps in for my growing body. I also like to go into my crate on my own when I am tired from all the shenanigans with my sister Kleya. We practice leash walking in the yard to do my business, always holding my favorite stick the whole time. And I don’t mind the dogs that live on either side of my fenced yard. I’m very excited to smell all the smells when we are walking outside the yard. On my walks they use these yummy fruit treats to get my attention and to get me to listen to commands. I am doing well with the housebreaking and basic puppy obedience like “drop it”, “wait”, “sit”, “down”, “out”, “crate” and sometimes I’m willing to give “paw”. I’ll take praise, cuddles and hugs over treats, too. But you know I’ve got to give that Great Pyr famous side-eye occasionally. My favorite toys are nylabones/chew toys, braided rope, a crinkly little stuffed rhino, a Tuff tug toy to play tug-of-war. We are completely vetted- neutered, rabies vaccine, distemper vaccines, bordatella, microchipped, negative fecal and are on monthly prevention. This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 121 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up to date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence, and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He also has an obsession with deer! For that reason, a privacy fence would be ideal if you have deer around your home. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides". Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet!
