Story
Introducing Boba, a striking 1-and-a-half-year-old Great Pyrenees mix in search of his perfect match! Weighing in at a sturdy 97 pounds, Boba is a bundle of strength and energy waiting to be unleashed. While he may be selective about his canine companions, Boba's loyalty and affection towards his human family knows no bounds. However, due to his strong-willed nature and need for guidance, Boba requires an experienced dog owner who can provide him with the structure and training he needs to thrive. With his imposing size and assertive personality, Boba would do best in a home without children under 12 years old or in a bustling environment where his boundaries might be tested frequently. If you're an experienced dog owner seeking a devoted companion and are ready to take on the challenge of guiding this magnificent pup, Boba could be the perfect addition to your family! Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.

Story
Carter! This delightful Great Pyrenees mix is 80 pounds of love. He loves to play with other dogs and warms up to new people in no time at all. Carter is about 3 years old and fully potty trained. He's working on getting comfy with crate time! If given the choice, Carter will show you his love by jumping on you to smother you with kisses. Since he's a big guy, he will need to work on curbing the whole jumping part, along with other basic training! He loves to run around the yard and play with the resident pup at his foster home, and then he will curl up for a comfy nap when he's tuckered out! Carter will do well in just about any home. He just needs a patient family who will help him get used to his new surroundings! In return, this sweet, gentle guy will give you endless snuggles and love. If Carter is the pup for you, apply today! Adoption fee: $550

FAST FACTS:*3 Years Old, 45 Pounds*Sweet, Loving, Playful, Gentle*Medium Energy*People Friendly (older kids best)*Dog Friendly*Cat Friendly*Potty Training *Crate Trained*Training RequiredBIO:Greetings from Rowena. I came from a horrendous puppy mill; a total of 60 dogs were found in the facility and saved by Animal Rescue Corps. All of us were kept chained, given only enough food and water to survive, and barely had contact with humans. I'm now living in an FTF foster home, savoring my freedom, and dreaming of my forever home. I know that taking a chance on a pup who, up until now, has only experienced cruelty is a big ask. But as the volunteers here quickly realized, my previous abusive environment has not defined me. I'm making friends with everyone I encounter - 2-legged and 4-legged alike. And I know that with your love and understanding, I'll soon be able to put my past behind me and become the wonderful canine companion I was always meant to be.A few facts about me. I've discovered the joys of hanging out with other dogs. So if there's another canine in your household to be my buddy and mentor, that would be terrific. I also enjoy having my own patch of grass to explore, so my ideal home will include a fenced yard. As you can see from my photo, I'm on the thin side and need to gain some weight. That won't be hard though, because the first time I was given a treat, my mouth exploded in happiness, and I couldn't wait for another. My food motivation not only will help me fill out but will also make training me easy peasy. Fetching Tails requires adopters of young dogs like me to sign us up for training classes, and I really think the class setting will help me gain more confidence and build our bond together. Speaking of training, I am mostly potty trained; I sometimes need to be reminded it is time to go outside to do my business, but I can hold it for long lengths of time now and overnight. And I'm happy to report that I go in my crate without fuss and quietly settle in, I consider it my safe space and often go in on my own without coaxing.I am a girl with a lot of love to give the special, patient humans who give me a chance to keep blossoming and learning what it really means to be a beloved companion. If that sounds like you, I hope you fill out an adoption application soon!Love and licks,RowenaIf you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Story
Meet Crystal, the delightful 5-month-old Anatolian Shepherd with lots of love to give! Crystal is currently thriving under the care of her foster family, who have shared some insights into her personality and needs. First and foremost, Crystal is a well-mannered pup who hasn't had any accidents in the house so far-a testament to her good behavior and potential for training success. While she may need a little encouragement to enter her crate, once inside, she's typically quiet and content. Crystal is a social pup who enjoys the company of her furry companions, readily joining her foster family's other dogs outside. However, she sometimes requires a gentle nudge of encouragement to venture out, responding well to soft voices and gentle gestures. When approached with patience and kindness, Crystal quickly warms up, leaning into affectionate pets and cuddles. Like many young pups, Crystal is still learning to navigate the world around her, and loud noises can startle her, causing her to seek safety by running. With time and understanding, she's sure to build confidence and resilience. When it comes to leash training, Crystal may initially resist, flattening herself out in protest. However, with patience and consistent training, she's bound to make progress. It's essential for her future family to approach leash training with understanding and patience, celebrating each small victory along the way. If you're ready to welcome a sweet and spirited companion into your home, consider meeting Crystal and providing her with the love and support she needs to flourish. With a little patience and a lot of love, Crystal is sure to become a beloved member of your family in no time! Story
Hello! My name is Bonnie, and I'm a 5-month-old Anatolian Shepherd mix looking for my forever home! When my foster family first met me, I was scared and timid. However, with patience and love, I've slowly started to come out of my shell. I'm a real sweetheart once you get to know me! While I may take a little time to warm up to new people, I absolutely adore attention, though I prefer to initiate it myself. I've been having a blast playing with my foster family's dog, and I have a special knack for gathering up all his toys! However, I'm still getting used to the idea of going for walks on a leash. My fosters are helping me work on this by introducing me to a harness, but it's still a bit of a learning process for me. Potty training is also a work in progress, but I'm eager to learn and please my humans. I promise to try my best! Despite my initial shyness, I am incredibly affectionate and just want to be loved. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will always be by your side, I'm your girl!
