Story
Introducing Kit: part Great Pyrenees, part Doberman, and 100% professional weirdo. She’s about three years old, has legs for days, and a nose that works overtime like a tiny detective on an endless case. Kit has gone from “stranger danger” mode to “sniff your hair while you’re watching Netflix” mode, and that’s what we call progress.   Her daily routine is very official: three laps around her kennel like an Olympic track star before dinner, followed by stealing the couch or your bed because, honestly, she’s royalty and crates are for peasants. She’s learning that humans = belly rub dispensers, and she’s totally here for it.   Kit is a huge fan of dogs, though she sometimes comes in a little too hot on first introductions (think: bossy camp counselor vibes). Once she knows who’s in charge, she’s good to go, and she’s the best babysitter for puppies. What she is not into? Cats, chickens, birds, squirrels, or basically anything small and fluffy that isn’t her designated sibling. For those, her prey drive kicks in and—let’s just say—it’s a hard no.   She’s obsessed with running, but luckily, she’s not a fence-jumper. A nice sturdy yard is her dream stage for zoomies. When she’s not sprinting, she’s all about long walks, soft toys, and claiming furniture like it’s her birthright. She’ll even listen to “leave it” when she’s yelling at the neighbors, which is basically the dog version of good manners.   Kit is still a little shy at first, but once she warms up, you’ll find a goofy, loyal, slightly dramatic best friend who makes the small victories (like coming when called) feel like winning the lottery. She’s been waiting long enough—this couch hog is ready to claim your couch and, more importantly, your heart.       Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
My name is Asiago and I am a 8 week old Great Pyrenees mix. My foster mom tells me I’ve got a face that melts hearts and I sure know how to use it to my advantage!! I’ll admit I’m a little spoiled in the snuggles department and love getting in close for some kisses. My spunky side comes out during playtime and when I’m outside following my nose, exploring the backyard. I'm still really young, but this whole potty training biz doesn't sound too hard- I think I'll have it down in no time! I don’t think walking on a leash will be too hard since I aim to please, but I have yet to test it out. I’m still snoozing with my siblings and I’m not sure how much I’ll like being in a kennel but I bet lots of treats will help! I’m looking for a playful and loving family (kids are great too) who has a heart as big as mine!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Meet Colby! She is still such a young pup but definitely had quite the spunky personality! She loves exploring outside and showing off a new leaf or stick that she finds in the yard. She spends her day playing with her sister, playing with toys and sleeping! She is definitely food motivated and loves all the treats.  This pup is about 7 weeks old currently and is not house trained however, she does great in her crate so far with only asking to go out potty once during the night. She is good about asking to go outside to go #2 but is doing well with peeing on the puppy pads. She has not yet been introduced to leashes and doesn’t quite know what to do with them yet. She’s got the prettiest blue eyes and you will immediately fall in love. Consider letting this girl join your family!          Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Hi! My name is Cheddar and I am an 8 week old Great Pyrenees mix. I stole my foster mom’s heart right away because of my calm and loving yet playful demeanor. I love being independent and exploring the big backyard but also enjoy playing with my siblings. I’m very easy going and don’t need much to stay happy, but some extra snuggles with my human siblings never hurt! I'm just starting to work on potty training, and I think I'll have it down pretty quickly once I'm old enough. I haven’t tried a leash yet or ridden in a car much, but I’m sure I’ll do great! I can’t wait to meet you!     Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
MEET OLAF (OLLIE) If you’re looking for a big-hearted dog with a goofy personality and plenty of love to give, meet Olaf! Ollie, as his foster family calls him, lives up to his Frozen namesake: sweet, endlessly affectionate, and always ready for a hug. Belly rubs, cuddles, and leaning into his favorite people are some of his greatest joys. Ollie is smart, eager to please, and already making wonderful progress in his foster home. In just a few days, he’s learned “sit,” started signaling when he needs to go outside, and shown how well he responds to redirection. He’s a good listener who thrives with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. His playful side is coming out, too! He loves toys, time outside, and a good round of zoomies. Watching him discover how much fun life can be has been a highlight for his foster family. He also seems very interested in making doggy friends, and another compatible, playful dog could be a great fit with slow introductions. Ollie is still learning the ropes of life in a home. He’s strong and doesn’t always know his own strength, so he’ll need continued practice with leash manners and coming when called. A well-fitted harness has been helpful for walks. Because of a previous neck injury, prong collars must not be used. Ollie is making encouraging progress with potty training and has had no recent accidents. His family will need to watch for his signals, such as heading toward the door, pacing near it, or giving a bark or two, and keep up a consistent routine. He sometimes chews things he shouldn’t, but readily responds to redirection and appropriate alternatives. Being close to his people means a lot to Ollie, and being left alone is currently difficult for him. He’s working on crate comfort and confidence and will need a family with the time and patience to help him gradually feel secure on his own. He’s also adjusting to household sounds, some of which still startle him, so secure leash and harness handling will be important while he settles in. Ollie’s ideal home will embrace his affectionate nature while supporting his continued learning. A securely fenced yard would give him space to enjoy his zoomies, though he’ll still need supervision and continued leash training. Because of his size and strength, interactions with young children and small dogs will need careful management. He has seen kitties from a distance and was curious but with slow introductions should do fine. With his big heart, sweet nature, and delightfully goofy disposition, Ollie has so much to offer. He’s looking for someone who will celebrate his progress, help him build confidence, and make room for plenty of cuddles along the way.

Story
Location: Lakeville, MN Fluffy is a big lovable bear of a dog. He’s good with dogs and cats. He is mostly house trained, but not a big fan of being kenneled. He walks wonderfully on a leash and doesn’t pull at all. We’re working on learning basic commands like “sit” and “down” because he will paw and jump for attention at the moment. His forever family will likely want to continue working on obedience training and due to his size and jumping he may not be the best fit with small kids. (He came into rescue with matted hair, requiring it to be shaved, so his hair is gradually growing back as you will see in photos). *Originated from: Shelter in Arkansas. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
