Story
Big Mac isn’t just an 80-pound furball — he’s a gentle giant with an even bigger heart. This 8 ½-year-old Great Pyrenees/Husky mix has the perfect balance of guardian spirit and adventurous soul. Sadly, Mac was surrendered by the only person he’d ever known when she moved, but he hasn’t lost his sweet nature. He truly is the definition of a “gentle giant”: ✨ Walks beautifully on leash ✨ Housetrained ✨ Loves belly rubs & lounging ✨ Enjoys playdates with his dog friends ✨ Car rides & beach walks are his favorite ✨ Knows “sit” and “paw” — and takes treats so gently Big Mac would thrive in a quiet, loving home where he can be your loyal companion. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped — and thanks to a generous sponsor, his adoption fee is fully covered. 💙 Ready to fall in love with Big Mac? Story
We wanted this dog for our family farm, we had her for two years and she was great. She is an outdoor barn dog that stays on the farm. She is an amazing and kind dog, very good with children but we do not have time to take care of her. She has lived outside her whole life but with proper training she could become an indoor dog. She is two years old, very calm and friendly. Good dog for outdoor and adventurous people.

Snow - 13 weeks & 23lbs (as of 1/5),PYR Mix, Spayed Expected Full Grown Size To Be About 80lbs  This puppy is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org Thier Foster Parent Says: "Oh man where do we start with this perfect snowbunny? Fire who we have nicknamed Snow because we picked her up on a snow day.. a perfect day that got even better. We've been frolicking in the cold temps since. Snow truly has all of the makings of an incredible large working breed dog - if that's your thing. It's ours -  so we're BEYOND chuffed to have her crash with us. Fostering her is kind of trippy because she's only 3 months old but she has the maturity of a 6 month old puppy. She walks like a rockstar on a leash, is able to settle in new places very quickly, can even do brunch at a restaurant, accompany you on errands no problem, is fully potty trained and can be trusted home alone. Don't get us wrong - she's for sure a working breed - so what you put into her you get in return and she thrives on structure. This little fluffy will ruin your life if you don't love walking miles (even in the cold) - she's already crushing her daily step count like you wouldn't believe. She's entering her dinosaur phase but is learning that body parts aren't for chomping on. She's growing like a weed and as quickly as she's growing she's picking up new commands. She's perfect for someone who is ready to truly live a high active lifestyle and has the time and energy to make the perfect puppy a masterpiece of a dog! Truly, the most remarkable temperament, the perfect puppy canvas." Level of dog ownership experience needed:INTERMEDIATE: As an adult, this dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day. The adopter must have relevant primary care experience with a similar breed, temperament, and/or energy level. (Primary care experience includes ownership, fostering, or dog sitting as an adult, not a dog you grew up with.) Relevant puppy care experience is a huge plus, but bare minimum the adopter must have TONS of time and patience. Raising a puppy can be a lot of fun, but it’s also  tremendous work. Puppies’ personalities and exercise/stimulation requirements change dramatically between now and when they’re a year old as their bodies and brains develop, so an active lifestyle and the ability to adapt to a pup’s evolving needs are a must. We strongly urge professional dog training with a rewards based trainer from the get go. Adults only or kids ages 8 and up – all puppies go through a mouthy, rambunctious phase and often accidentally hurt children when playing. PLEASE DO YOUR OWN BREED RESEARCH to make sure you have a better understanding of the kind of temperament and exercise requirements this dog may have as an adult. Energy levelMEDIUM: Very young puppies sleep and nap a lot, but their energy level skyrockets when they become teens (4 months to around a year). As an adult, this dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day at a minimum. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  Cuddle Bug Level Medium -- Likes to snuggle when he's in the mood but often stays in his own bed High -- Wants to be in your lap pretty much all the time  Potty Trained Yes -- Few or no accidents - uses the bathroom outside but will also go on a pad - has only had two accidents in a week - super ahead for her age  Comfy with strangers? Yep -- Wants to be friends with everyone who walks by, super social butterfly, loves anyone who will stop to say hello.  SOCIAL WITH DOGS?Yes. Some puppies are shy, others are bold, but all have the potential to be taught healthy socializing skills. It’s a huge part of raising a puppy and must be done carefully. How they interact with other dogs depends largely on how their humans help them learn to. Snow is currently being fostered with another dog and is confident about saying hi on the street.  SOCIAL WITH CHILDREN?  (ALWAYS requires adult supervision)Yes… but most puppies are not a great match for a home with kids under age 8 because they go through intense mouthy play and rambunctious phases and often accidentally hurt young kids while playing. Children must always be monitored and taught to interact with dogs of any age respectfully. Snow is a gentle dog but she is going through a dinosaur phase, naturally.  SOCIAL WITH CATS?Yes. Almost all puppies have the potential to be friends with a cat. It’s on the adopter to know their cat’s temperament and preferences and to teach their puppy respectful manners. Snow is being fostered with cats right now and is doing great.  Mouthy Behavior? Medium – Is respectful of your home, doesn't really chew on human things. But, she does try to chew on hands when she's in a playful mood. We're working on this behaviour.  Leash Manners? Old Pro – Seems like a dog that has been on leash before. Doesn’t pull hard or need much direction.  Okay in the city? Yes -- Seems unfazed by the sights and sounds, they may as well have been born here. Jumping on People to Say Hi?  Low – Doesn’t jump up on people or dogs. Always all four on the floor.  Separation Anxiety?  Low – Completely fine being left home alone. Doesn’t cry or do anything shitty when you leave the apartment or house.  Crate training? Not at all – Don’t even have one, I’ve puppy proofed and we free range.  MEDICAL STATUS:Healthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP and Bordetella vaccines (for dogs under 4 months old, adopters will need to finish the DHPP vaccine series and administer the Rabies vaccine at 16 weeks of age), spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon HOW DID THIS DOG END UP WITH US?Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Los Angeles and Puerto Rico. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses though!  This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes. Story
Meet Jellyroll! Jellyroll is a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees/Boxer mix with a handsome white-and-tan coat and the sweetest freckled nose. Weighing in at about 90 lbs, this big guy is equal parts playful goofball and loyal couch companion. Jellyroll loves staying active — dog park romps, hiking adventures, and outdoor playtime are right up his alley. When the fun winds down, he’s just as happy taking a long afternoon nap curled up beside his people. He knows how to sit nicely for treats, is fully house trained, and has lived with small children since he was just 9 weeks old. Jellyroll gets along very well with other dogs and would enjoy a home where he has space to play and explore. True to his Pyrenees roots, Jellyroll takes his job as protector seriously. He enjoys barking at blowing leaves or passersby from the safety of an enclosed yard and would do best in a home without frequent visitors or unfamiliar people coming and going. He’s looking for a calm, loving environment where he can feel secure and devoted to his family. If you’re searching for a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion with a big heart (and an even bigger personality), Jellyroll might be your perfect match. Interested in adopting Jellyroll? Please reach out to Ldelgiudice724@gmail.com to learn more about this sweet boy and discuss next steps.
