Story
Meet Blizzard, a ten month old, eighty-pound freckled Great Pyrenees mix with the personality of a gentle snowstorm and the energy of one too. He’s fluffy, playful, friendly, and all puppy at heart. Blizzard is currently looking for a foster-to-adopt home or a forever home, and he’s ready to move in now! Blizzard is a joyful, goofy dog! His foster describes him as “a sweet, goofy fluff of a dog who’s just testing out the world,” and that captures him perfectly. He loves meeting new people, welcomes pets from strangers, and behaves well with other dogs, especially at the dog park, which is his favorite place. He’s still learning that smaller dogs don’t always appreciate being pounced on by a big puppy, but he means well and adjusts with guidance. He has also done beautifully around children and plays more gently with them than with adults!  True to his age, Blizzard has plenty of energy, and his days are full of highs, zooms, and bursts of excitement. He loves being outside, chases birds and squirrels, and pulls most enthusiastically when he knows the dog park is near. Indoors, he’s affectionate, observant, and very smart. He knows sit, down, and stay, watches his humans closely, and even tries to mimic how they open doors. He is treat-motivated and eager to please, though still learning consistency and boundaries. He prefers cool places to rest and is not a heavy shedder.. On leash, he has improved significantly since arriving in his foster home. He will pull when he wants to greet other dogs or investigate smells, but with time and routine he walks with good focus and pace!  His ideal home is a spacious with a family willing to give him structure, supervision, and plenty of physical and mental exercise. He is a big, strong, fast puppy who thrives when he can run, explore, and be an active part of household life. Those who welcome him into their home will be rewarded with a smart, loving, endlessly entertaining companion who is still learning the world but eager to grow into his full potential! ##2581062##

Story
Yeti is a gentle, playful, happy giant (11 Months Old and 70lbs) and everyone who meets him falls in love! This big, fluffy boy came from a property with over 20 dogs, where his previous owner used purple cattle spray to treat an eye issue... thinking it might help make things better.. He’s now getting proper care and lots of love in his foster home. Yeti was found to have a minor eye condition called entropion, which just means his eyelids roll inward a bit and can irritate his eyes, but he just had a minor corrective eye surgery before leaving the shetler.vHe has been vetted and spayed.    Yeti is energetic, playful, and is always ready for a walk, a new toy, or a good game of chase. He’s a people magnet (literally, he once charmed a stranger into handing over a whole unopened bag of treats within minutes). Yeti loves meeting new friends, both human and dogs, though he sometimes forgets just how big he is! He plays with enthusiasm and would do best with dogs who enjoy a bit of rough-and-tumble fun. He’s also met cats and is friendly (fostered with them), but he’s still learning how to read their signals and give them space when they ask for it. Yeti is housetrained and making great progress on his crate training and separation anxiety.   He’s learning that being alone isn’t so scary. His foster family is helping him build confidence and find calm routines, and his future family can continue that gentle work with patience and consistency. Yeti would thrive in an active home with someone who can help him burn off that energy and continue his training. He’s already housetrained, loves his walks, and gives the best goofy grins. He’s still growing into his paws, but one thing’s for sure, his heart is already enormous. ##2551381##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application Keep Calm and rub my belly is Bunny's motto!   Bunny is a 4-5 year old Great Pyrenees from Asheville NC. She is a Jetsetter, shedder, and best momma ever. She will throw herself in front of you for belly rubs and you will laugh out loud.  It is impossible to look at Bunny and be sad or mad. Her beautiful soulful eyes will melt your heart and command you to rub her belly and be happy! She is sweet and loves the indoors unlike her ancestors. Storms are not Bunny's favorite as she has seen some scary ones.    Bunny is a favorite at the vet’s office, her foster mom’s office and even the groomer! She is loved anywhere she goes. Bunny is sweeter than cotton candy and ready to live her DIVA life after motherhood.    Raising 10 fabulous babies was fun but, Bunny is ready to move on and be your sweet companion. Bunny's bark is even sweet sounding. She does enjoy letting everyone around her know she is on the job! Bunny can be left alone with out getting into any trouble and has never had any accidents in the house.    Bunny does really well with meeting other dogs! At her fosterer's office and the pet store,  etc., she is kind of a diva and is un-interested after the initial meeting. She would love to PLAY once she had the opportunity and intros to an area she is not “in charge of” (like her half of the foster home).   Click here to watch a video of Bunny.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Big Mac isn’t just an 80-pound furball — he’s a gentle giant with an even bigger heart. This 8 ½-year-old Great Pyrenees/Husky mix has the perfect balance of guardian spirit and adventurous soul. Sadly, Mac was surrendered by the only person he’d ever known when she moved, but he hasn’t lost his sweet nature. He truly is the definition of a “gentle giant”: ✨ Walks beautifully on leash ✨ Housetrained ✨ Loves belly rubs & lounging ✨ Enjoys playdates with his dog friends ✨ Car rides & beach walks are his favorite ✨ Knows “sit” and “paw” — and takes treats so gently Big Mac would thrive in a quiet, loving home where he can be your loyal companion. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped — and thanks to a generous sponsor, his adoption fee is fully covered. 💙 Ready to fall in love with Big Mac? Koda is a wonderful dog who’s friendly and amazing with kids and other dogs. He is a purebred Great Pyrenees that we got from a breeder in Georgia. We have a folder regarding this. The breed is known for barking but Koda does not bark much at all, he’s very well socialized and loves attention. Any questions let me know.

Story
Cleo is a total sweetheart and would make an amazing addition to any family or loving home. This gentle, affectionate girl adores everyone she meets, and is amazing with people, kids, and other dogs. She is fully house-trained, sleeps through the night in her bed, and loves going for walks, playing fetch, and curling up beside you at the end of the day. Cleo has the softest fur you'll ever run your hands through and is just looking for someone to give her love. She gets a lot of compliments for being such a cutie. Photos do not do her justice!   ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process.
