Story
Simon says “give me treats.” Simon says “scratch my ears.” Now touch your nose. Ope, Simon didn’t say!💙🐾 Simon is an 11-month-old Great Pyrenees, currently weighing in at 65 pounds with a bit more growing to do. Little smarty pants—that’s Simon! This fella is so smart and loving. He is shy when first meeting new people, and would do best in a calmer household without young children. Though, older children/teens with prior dog experience would be great! He is a very submissive and gentle guy who loves to boop your leg with his nose to get your attention. His silly nature is similar to his siblings. Simon is a go with the flow kind of guy who is just happy to play or relax. Simon is a lovebug through and through, and he is so ready to love you! Simon does great with other dogs and would love a canine companion in his forever home. Simon also gets along well with cats. He would make a wonderful family member to any sized family looking to add a soft, fluffy cloud to the mix. Just look at that smile! If you’re looking for the best guy to be a part of your life, look no further than this fluffy boy. Simon says “adopt me!” Apply to adopt Simon at www.homeforgooddogs.org 💙🐾 Simon is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. Story
Get ready to swoon when you meet Mr. Boone! This stunning Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever mix is 1.5 years old and a cuddly 56 pounds of love. Boone was rescued from a kill shelter in Swainsboro, Georgia, and he is so happy for his second chance at life thanks to HFGDR. Boone has the most unique and lovely tricolor brown, black, and white fur, but we are most fond of his two-toned face and perfectly kissable nose spots. Boone fits the very classic definition of a gentle giant. He is a little shy at first but is very friendly and loving, and he quite enjoys being around others and making them smile. His kindness shows through his big soulful eyes and he loves so very hard. He longs to be loved in return by a forever home that will keep him safe and show him how joyous and happy life can be. Boone is working on his leash walking skills and loves to go for walks where he can explore all the sights, sounds, and smells of the outside world. He would do well in a home with other dogs, cats, and kids, and he is just so happy to be around the safety and comfort of kindness. What are you waiting for? Put that car in zoom and come meet Boone! Boone is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. Story
Mabel and Finn 1 1/2 year old great pyrenes looking for a new home. Mabel and Finn family are moving and they will not have the space for these two to roam around on. Finn (Bandit) is a sweet lovable dog who loves to be groomed. He loves being outside  He is timid in the dog park and seems more relaxed with one on one interaction.  he would be happiest on a farm or a large property Mabel (Bella) is the alpha of the two. She is very sweet and affectionate. She loves going on long walks and will cuddle with whomever is willing. She enjoys the outdoors and playing with other dogs. She also is very sensitive and can be an escape artist.  It takes her some time to acclimate to new surroundings. I think she also would be best on a farm or large property bc of her breed   She does require a high secure fence. Both dogs are good with kids of all ages. They are not food aggressive but will growl if another dog (not human) tries to take their food. If you have a large property or are an extremly active family, please fill out an application at rescueridge.com An application is a must. Story
Pete is a loving and sensitive 2 year old Great Pyrenees with a heart as big as his size! He bonds quickly with his people and absolutely loves affection. While Pete needs some time to adjust to new environments, a home with patient, caring people who can help him build confidence is exactly what he needs. Crates aren't his favorite, but he's made great progress in overcoming his fear. Pete is happy to spend time on his own, but he also enjoys the company of another large dog for guidance and some playtime, even though he doesn't always initiate play, just having another dog around makes him feel a bit more confident! His favorite thing, however, is simply being around people who love him. He likely didn't have much structure before coming to Rescue City, as he was severely emaciated and had likely spent most of his life outside :(. Despite his past, Pete is a sweet-atured boy who is ready to find a forever home filled with love and affection. Could that be with you?  Adopt Pete today! ##2129181##
