Story
Meet Great White, a 2-year-old, 70-lb Great Pyrenees with a big heart, a goofy personality, and the most magnificent feather-duster tail you’ve ever seen. He’s known to his friends as Max, but Great White is his government name. Great White (aka Max) is a lovable, silly boy who truly thrives being near his people. His tail is basically an accessory with its own personality — always wagging, always dramatic, and guaranteed to make you smile. He’s dog-friendly, super smart, and eager to please. He already knows Sit, Paw, and Down, and with his love of routine, he does best when his days have a predictable flow. This handsome fluff is house trained and crate trained, making him an easy addition to the right home. He loves playing with toys, and once he’s settled, you’ll find him happily chewing on a good dog chew or treat. Zoomies in the yard? Absolutely — GW lives for them and would happily spend all day outside if he could. Great White also loves car rides and going on adventures with his foster parents. The moment the car door opens, he jumps right in, ready to go and see the world by your GW would do best in a home without cats, but he gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy a canine companion. Most of all, GW is looking for his forever family — a place where he can be loved, included, and finally settle in for good. If you’re ready for a loyal best friend with a heart of gold and a tail that could double as a luxury broom, Great White (but Max to his people) is ready to meet you! Great White is currently being fostered in Edison, NJ. His adoption fee is $500. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Minnie is a 15 week old Husky Great Pyrenees mix who is playful, curious, and cuddly. She loves playing with toys, getting treats for using her wee wee pad, snuggling with her sister, and cozy naps after bursts of puppy energy. Her days are full of two-hour play sessions followed by well-earned rest, and she has excellent puppy manners, including sitting politely for food and playing nicely with her sibling. Minnie is smart, easygoing, and curious about the world around her. She isn’t afraid of household noises, including the robot vacuum, and enjoys meeting new people. She is about 80 percent consistent with her wee wee pads and is making great progress toward full house training. Minnie is still learning her name and basic commands but responds beautifully to positive reinforcement. ##2680385##

Story
Meet Big Mac 🍔 — and yes, he’s just as irresistible as the name suggests… but with way more fluff and significantly fewer calories. At 80 pounds of pure love, this 8½-year-old Great Pyrenees/Husky mix is basically a walking, tail-wagging cloud with a heart to match. He’s got that perfect combo of “I will protect you from imaginary squirrels” and “let’s take a nice, leisurely stroll and then nap about it.” Mac sadly lost the only home he ever knew when his owner moved, but he’s handled it like a true gentleman — with grace, sweetness, and just a tiny bit of “where are my belly rubs?” energy. Here’s what makes Big Mac extra special: ✨ Walks beautifully on leash (no dragging you down the street like a sled dog… promise) ✨ Housetrained (a very civilized gentleman) ✨ Professional belly-rub enthusiast ✨ Loves hanging with his dog friends ✨ Car rides & beach walks = his version of a spa day ✨ Knows “sit” and “paw” — and takes treats like he’s at a 5-star restaurant Now, full disclosure from Mac himself: 🍗 “I do take my meals very seriously… think ‘fine dining security guard.’ I prefer to enjoy my food without interruptions — a guy’s gotta have boundaries!” Big Mac is looking for a calm, loving home where he can be your loyal shadow, your couch companion, and your personal (very fluffy) security system. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped — and thanks to a generous sponsor, his adoption fee is fully covered (yes, you read that right… he’s basically a priceless deal). 💙 Ready to make your life 80 pounds better? Apply here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/POSH/Dog Trust us… once you meet Big Mac, you’ll be supersized on love for life. 🍔🐾

Story
Creamy spent the first part of her life outside and on her own, wandering the streets while racking up animal control citations. Her owners finally surrendered her in a state of neglect — unkempt and starved for food and affection. After a few months in rescue, Creamy has transformed into a beautiful, fluffy girl who just wants to stay close to the people she loves. She greets everyone warmly, whether they’re new friends (strangers), children, dogs, cats. Most of her days are spent lazing around or taking leisurely strolls in the yard. Every now and then she'll have a burst of playful energy, but she's mostly just grateful to have a soft place to rest. Creamy is fostered in Glastonbury, CT, and is available for local or out-of-state adoption as long as the adopter can travel to meet her. We can also bring her to NYC for meet and greets. To get the adoption process started, please send us an application at https://bit.ly/rosr-adopt-foster.

Story
Elizabeth - 2 years, 76lbs, PYR & Retriever Mix, Spayed  Our Team Says: The sweetest girl ever! Elizabeth came to use in rough shape - underweight thinning coat and had clearly been used for a lot of puppies. Now it's her time! She prefers a home out of the city or in a really calm area.  This dog is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org Thier Foster Parent Says: "Elizabeth is a gentle giant with a sweet demeanour. Not petting her is NOT an option. If you are in range of a nudge she will most certainly use her nose to boop you and ask why you’ve stopped. She loves a good nap and can lounge around with everyone but when she’s up and about she’s medium/high energy. Shes so curious about what the world is all about and has to offer. Elizabeth could spend all day running around the park and chasing squirrels. Very smart and will nudge the leash and/or scratch the door to let us know she needs to go potty. Although she’s acclimating to the city, it’s ultimately not her forever home and would be best in the suburbs with a big yard to wander around, lay in the grass, and smell the flowers. She LOVES dogs and people and tries to say hi to everyone we see on a walk. Her zoomie side comes out when she interacts with other dogs. A puppy or another dog in her forever home would be the ultimate gift to her. Good with children, no mouthy behaviour, big cuddle bug. Her only naughty trait is that she loves a good vintage of toilet water and knows how to enjoy it with garbage if left out :) To say that any family who adopted Elizabeth would have their lives enriched 10x would be an understatement. Elizabeth is everything thats pure and sweet in the world and deserves to have a family that wants her to experience all that life has to offer." Level of dog ownership experience required: INTERMEDIATE – This dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day. The adopter must have relevant primary care experience with a similar breed, temperament, and/or energy level. (Primary care experience includes ownership, fostering, or dog sitting as an adult, not a dog you grew up with.) Energy level:MEDIUM – Needs a daily 60-90 minute walk or window of quick paced exercise (minimum) in addition to potty break strolls (10-30 min each). Also needs significant socializing opportunities outside the home and mental stimulation at home like tricks training practice, chew items, and puzzle toys. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  TOLERANCE TO CITYCountry mouse. She’s getting used to the city but it’s not the place for her to spend the rest of her life.POTTY TRAININGYes – No accidentsCOMFORT LEVEL WITH STRANGERSSocial butterfly – Wants to be friends with everyone including all dogs who walk by and loves anyone who will stop to say hello. BEHAVIOR WITH CHILDREN (always requires adult supervision)Yes for most ages – very confident, gentle, low energy, tolerant, not mouthy SOCIAL BEHAVIOR WITH OTHER DOGSYes – Good with most other dogs (sizes, breeds, etc.) as far as we know and enjoys socializing with other caninesRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR WITH OTHER ANIMALS (cats, small pets, etc.)Not sure – Wants to chase squirrels and birds so may not be a good match for a home with cats, rabbits, etc. MOUTHY BEHAVIORPast this stage– Little to no interest in chewing on stuff or putting things in their mouth that aren’t food. Doesn’t try to chew on hands, feet, etc. during playtimeSEPARATION ANXIETYAdjusting – Might cry for a few minutes when you first leave the house but settles pretty quickly and has no problem being left alone otherwise. LEASH MANNERSGetting the hang of it – Probably hasn’t been on a leash much in their life but figuring it out. Might be a mild puller but responds to correction.CUDDLE BUG LEVELMedium – Likes to snuggle when he's in the mood but often stays in his own bedJUMPING ON PEOPLE TO SAY HELLOCalm Greetings – Doesn’t jump up on people or dogs. Always all four on the floor. CRATE TRAININGNot at all – Don’t even have one, I’ve puppy proofed and we free range. Medical status:Healthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm tested if coming from Tennessee or Puerto Rico; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake How did this dog end up with Social Tees? Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Los Angeles, and Puerto Rico. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses. This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes. LEARN MORE ABOUT US: socialteesnyc.org and Instagram @socialteesnyc ##2688163##

Story
Meet Jellyroll! Jellyroll is a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees/Boxer mix with a handsome white-and-tan coat and the sweetest freckled nose. Weighing in at about 90 lbs, this big guy is equal parts playful goofball and loyal couch companion. Jellyroll loves staying active — dog park romps, hiking adventures, and outdoor playtime are right up his alley. When the fun winds down, he’s just as happy taking a long afternoon nap curled up beside his people. He knows how to sit nicely for treats, is fully house trained, and has lived with small children since he was just 9 weeks old. Jellyroll gets along very well with other dogs and would enjoy a home where he has space to play and explore. True to his Pyrenees roots, Jellyroll takes his job as protector seriously. He enjoys barking at blowing leaves or passersby from the safety of an enclosed yard and would do best in a home without frequent visitors or unfamiliar people coming and going. He’s looking for a calm, loving environment where he can feel secure and devoted to his family. If you’re searching for a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion with a big heart (and an even bigger personality), Jellyroll might be your perfect match. Interested in adopting Jellyroll? Please reach out to Ldelgiudice724@gmail.com to learn more about this sweet boy and discuss next steps.
