Story
Mabel and Finn 1 1/2 year old great pyrenes looking for a new home. Mabel and Finn family are moving and they will not have the space for these two to roam around on. Finn (Bandit) is a sweet lovable dog who loves to be groomed. He loves being outside  He is timid in the dog park and seems more relaxed with one on one interaction.  he would be happiest on a farm or a large property Mabel (Bella) is the alpha of the two. She is very sweet and affectionate. She loves going on long walks and will cuddle with whomever is willing. She enjoys the outdoors and playing with other dogs. She also is very sensitive and can be an escape artist.  It takes her some time to acclimate to new surroundings. I think she also would be best on a farm or large property bc of her breed   She does require a high secure fence. Both dogs are good with kids of all ages. They are not food aggressive but will growl if another dog (not human) tries to take their food. If you have a large property or are an extremly active family, please fill out an application at rescueridge.com An application is a must. Story
Pete is a loving and sensitive 2 year old Great Pyrenees with a heart as big as his size! He bonds quickly with his people and absolutely loves affection. While Pete needs some time to adjust to new environments, a home with patient, caring people who can help him build confidence is exactly what he needs. Crates aren't his favorite, but he's made great progress in overcoming his fear. Pete is happy to spend time on his own, but he also enjoys the company of another large dog for guidance and some playtime, even though he doesn't always initiate play, just having another dog around makes him feel a bit more confident! His favorite thing, however, is simply being around people who love him. He likely didn't have much structure before coming to Rescue City, as he was severely emaciated and had likely spent most of his life outside :(. Despite his past, Pete is a sweet-atured boy who is ready to find a forever home filled with love and affection. Could that be with you?  Adopt Pete today! ##2129181##

Story
Lily is a six-year-old Great Pyrenees/Labrador mix with a big heart and lots of love to give. She’s incredibly affectionate and loves lounging at the feet of people she loves, especially with a peanut butter Kong to snack on. When she's not being a couch potato, she enjoys agility training and walking in the woods and through town. Just don't be surprised if she decides to do six or seven somersaults in a row in the grass. Lily thrives in a chill environment where she can have her space and relax. She’s been trained with top-tier professionals and really 'locks in' during training sessions. She's a joy to work with. She also has lifetime access to training at the Upstate Canine Academy. For the right adopter, especially someone with experience around clever dogs, she’ll be an incredible companion. Lily would do best in a quiet home, ideally without young kids, where she can get the love and attention she deserves. If you’re interested in meeting Lily, we’d love to chat!

Story
Sansa, Jasmine, Maple, Ava, and Hobbs are all Great Pyrenees/Retriever mix puppies born on May 9th. These huggable, lovable teddy bears are ready for their homes! 4 have found their forever homes, and 5 are remaining. There are 4 females and 1 male left in the litter. As of 9/24, these puppies weighed between 25-27 lbs each, and just are hitting their growth spurt 😊 Here is what the foster wrote about each of them as of 9/24- Hobbs – He is an old soul in a puppy’s body. Hobbs is the smallest of the litter and a very sweet boy that can be somewhat sensitive in nature, although remaining very loving and affectionate. Probably from getting picked on by his bigger brothers and sisters, but I’m sure with time on his own he will flourish. He is a laid-back boy that mostly enjoys lounging around, taking long naps, and keeping to himself. He is a quiet, happy, smiley boy that prefers to stay out of trouble. His love language is gift giving (treats) and quality time. He is a happy guy anywhere, indoors or outdoors. He has a new love for water and getting dirty, when he used to be very dainty and clean haha. Maple - Maple is a sweet girl that respects her boundaries and chooses not to escape. She would be great for someone wanting to teach a dog off leash and recall, as she does not stray far from you at any given time. She prefers to stay dry and clean although she will go in water on her own terms. Maple enjoys playing with kids and other dogs and expresses interest in treats (zukes) and running after the ball. Maple is a very happy-go-lucky gal that is seeking companionship. Maple also expresses interest in moving reflections on the ground, she has the potential to be a red dot chaser (laser pointer light). Maples love language is gift giving and quality time. Ava - Ava has the softest prettiest white coat of all the pups. Her ears are like little radars, and she will alarm you of anything going on out of the ordinary. She also enjoys talking back to you from time to time, but not nearly as often as her sister. When she’s not on high alert, Ava enjoys lounging around and napping. She is very laid back most of the time. She is your shadow and loves to be next to you. She LOVES to be petted and get belly rubs. Ava likes to go for walks and explore new things, she’s a very curious girl. Her love languages are gift giving (treats) and quality time. Jasmine – Description: PERFECT. Knows sit and shake. Very smart. Jasmine has a love for the outdoors and wide-open spaces. After a long walk, Jasmine enjoys sitting in the swimming pool, although not fully submerged, just enough to cool off her backside. She likes to use her front paws to give hugs and to shake. She is a sweet girl who is full of love and kisses. Sometimes you will find Jasmine just sitting back, relaxing and people watching in the shade. She enjoys a good belly rub and will roll over on her back so that you know exactly what she needs. Loves her attention and will lean on her siblings to push them down to get more loving from the humans. She’s a hoot. The mom is a beautiful white retriever mix, and the dad is a Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix on the smaller side. We do have pictures of the parents and mom will be getting fixed and staying with the original finder. We estimate full grown these puppies will be around 55-70 lbs. These puppies have got it all going on. They were born in foster care and have been exposed to other dogs, all ages of children and adults since they were born and are the friendliest, most loving puppies you’ll meet. They LOVE water. Give them a pool, take them to the river/lake/ocean or any body of water and they’ll go crazy. Their thicker coats make them wonderful candidates to live up north during the winter and enjoy the beautiful summers. We have a fun video of them playing in their pool! They all love children! They would make wonderful family dogs. Their tails don’t stop wagging when they see people and they are always up for a good time, whether it’s playing outside, going on walks, or just learning new things. The current foster has 2 children - 3 and 5 years old and they do fantastic with them. They are house trained. 5 puppies are a lot to have, but these babies are already learning quickly. Very smart. They follow the fosters dogs outside and when given one on one time, they will master whatever you teach them. They love to cuddle and give kisses. You’ll get kisses galore with them! They are all very quirky, amazing puppies that are all around happy go lucky and just love to cuddle, run around, play and get lots of love. These babies will make FANTASTIC family dogs and very loyal companions. ________________________________________________________________________________ If you would like to adopt this doggy/puppy, please complete an application on our website: www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, current on preventions, dewormed and microchipped. Story
PENNSYLVANIA: Everyone wants to add more love and joy to their lives – well, we found the missing LINC-oln for that! Young Lincoln is a happy, good-looking pup who enjoys all kinds of activities, but what makes him happiest is being by your side! His foster says: “Lincoln is one factastic boy! He is super sweet and loves every moment of every day!” Lincoln is only about 2 years old and weighs an elegant 80 lbs, with his best days ahead of him! Sadly, he was found tied to the fence of a NYC public shelter, but even then Lincoln maintained his “pawsitive vibe” energy and has since been patiently waiting for his furever home. Lincoln is a loyal friend who will love his future family not only unconditionally, but also passionately with his zest for life! Lincoln does have a higher energy level, but he is easily entertained and could run after a simple ball all day. An active home with daily exercise or a fenced in yard would be best for this handsome boy. Lincoln loves car rides, other dogs, hiking, and swimming! No matter what breed he is, Lincoln sure is easy on the eyes; we speculate he may have some Anatolian Shepherd or Great Pyrenees in him – but with such a love for the water, you would think he is part fish! Lincoln is available for adoption and comes neutered, house-trained, up to date on shots, and micro chipped. Lincoln gets along and has been living with other dog(s) and does OK around kids. Lincoln bonds very deeply with his people and because of his eagerness to please, he was a star student in obedience training. He has learned so much with his foster and he is now ready for his furever family. Lincoln wants to do anything to make his person/people happy; he truly has so much love to give. Can Lincoln give that love to you? To meet this one-of-a-kind guy, apply to adopt Lincoln at AmsterDog.org or contact 917-689-8414 (texts ok) for more information. Lincoln is waiting for you! Thanks for caring about a pet in need!
