Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. CHLOE was transferred to GaDaH from a high kill shelter in Texas on 22nd April 2023. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue  YouTube channel  and  photo albums on our Facebook page  to see a LOT of pictures and videos.      CHLOE is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm/tick tested negative. She is on monthly prevention, microchipped, has an estimated date of birth of 17 March 2019 and at the time of transport weighed 82 pounds. We have no way of knowing what the actual breed is, so it is up to people to look at the pictures and video's to make up their own mind. CHLOE is available for adoption from Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine for an adoption fee of $550.       This adoption fee covers the cost of running a brick and mortar rescue as well as any transport, veterinary, food,   treats, toys costs and the many expenses that rescues endure to keep the pets in their care safe, and happy.     Be sure to read all the information and if interested, go to the rescue website to submit an adoption application. https://www.giveadogahome-rescue.org/forms/form?formid=5838 The rescue buys food in bulk, by the truck load and there are a variety of brands and flavors. None of the food given is less than a 4* food rating. There have not been issues with eating any of the varying foods. It is important that you do your research on the ingredients and speak to your vet or a nutritionist on grain vs grain free! &#226&#128&#139You MUST understand that dogs need time to decompress and adapt to their new environment and home. It is a HUGE transition they make from the kill shelter, being vetted, on transport for 3 days and arriving in Maine where the temperature and such is very different to what they have only known. In rescue there is what is known as the "3 Point Rule" Days 1-3 your dog is stressed, anxious, confused as to where they are now. Weeks 1-3 your dog is adjusting, settling in, learning things. At the 3-month point, your dog understands they are home, and have built up a trusting relationship where they feel loved and secure. If you feel that you have the heart and home to give this precious soul a wonderful life, please go to our website, under the ADOPTION INFO tab, complete, then submit the APPLICATION. Our process takes around 1-2 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then we can schedule your appointment to come to the rescue in Sebec, Maine for meet/greet/adopt Please do NOT submit an application if you are not looking to take home a new best friend within the next few weeks. https://www.giveadogahome-rescue.org/forms/form?formid=5838 ALL Dogs are LOCATED AT THE RESCUE IN SEBEC, MAINE. We post in various states along the east coast and Canada where we have had lots of successful adoptions to enable more exposure for these beautiful saved souls. Families will need to be prepared to travel to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Sebec is located just outside the towns of Dover-Foxcroft and Milo (approx. 8 miles) and approx. 45 miles from Bangor. There are also lots of hotels, motels, pet friendly accommodations and wonderful camp-sites for the more adventurous families and what a great way to get to know your new best friend. Story

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Chuck is a beautiful boy who is looking for a home. Chuck is in a foster home with our sister rescue in Louisiana hoping to come to NJ on our next transport.  Chuck spent a lot of time in a rural shelter in Southern Louisiana but lucky for him a foster signed up to save his life! Chuck is still decompressing from his time living in a metal cage with 100 other dogs but he is doing better every day. Chuck is dog selective (seems to be related to resource guarding) so he may do best as an only dog.  Chuck's foster in Louisiana says he is goofy, eager to please and responds well to training. Chuck is well behaved on outings to breweries, parks etc. so while maybe he doesn't want to share his home with another dog he is dog social and can enjoy time out with other dogs around. Chuck is housebroken and crate trained. Chuck is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Chuck has completed treated for heartworm. His adoption fee is $400.   How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wagoninn.rescuegroups.org . Click on the orange Online Adoption Application button to fill out an application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon! Story
Meet 8 Month Old, 30lb Macy Jo! Macy thrives on a schedule. She likes to be told what to do otherwise she will just do whatever she wants which is.... well being a puppy! MJ sleeps in her crate, in the am gets to zoomie and play with her foster siblings in the yard, gets a morning walk, then breakfast, a nap and repeat. She LOVES chewing bones, playing fetch [she's perfect at it] and playing with other dogs. MJ is incredible sweet. She loves to flop down on people. If you have size limits but love big dogs - she's perfect. She's all the best qualities of a big dog but compact and pint-sized. She always wants to be on someone's lap, is smart and loves to learn, and her favorite thing is to chew on benebones. She's fostered with 2 dogs and LOVES them and is respectful of their boundaries -- and cats. Her foster mom shares she likes to chase. She could live with one especially if they are young/playful but she's still learning boundaries. MJ has a huge affinity for life and the people in it - she's working on curbing her excitment when making new friends, and is a good listener :).  MJ can't wait to find a forever home and show them what a smart, quick learner she is! She's spayed, healthy and can't wait to meet you!  ##1703264##
