Mabel and Finn 1 1/2 year old great pyrenes looking for a new home. Mabel and Finn family are moving and they will not have the space for these two to roam around on. Finn (Bandit) is a sweet lovable dog who loves to be groomed. He loves being outside He is timid in the dog park and seems more relaxed with one on one interaction. he would be happiest on a farm or a large property Mabel (Bella) is the alpha of the two. She is very sweet and affectionate. She loves going on long walks and will cuddle with whomever is willing. She enjoys the outdoors and playing with other dogs. She also is very sensitive and can be an escape artist. It takes her some time to acclimate to new surroundings. I think she also would be best on a farm or large property bc of her breed She does require a high secure fence. Both dogs are good with kids of all ages. They are not food aggressive but will growl if another dog (not human) tries to take their food. Pete is a loving and sensitive 2 year old Great Pyrenees with a heart as big as his size! He bonds quickly with his people and absolutely loves affection. While Pete needs some time to adjust to new environments, a home with patient, caring people who can help him build confidence is exactly what he needs. Crates aren't his favorite, but he's made great progress in overcoming his fear. Pete is happy to spend time on his own, but he also enjoys the company of another large dog for guidance and some playtime, even though he doesn't always initiate play, just having another dog around makes him feel a bit more confident! His favorite thing, however, is simply being around people who love him. He likely didn't have much structure before coming to Rescue City, as he was severely emaciated and had likely spent most of his life outside :(. Lily is a six-year-old Great Pyrenees/Labrador mix with a big heart and lots of love to give. She’s incredibly affectionate and loves lounging at the feet of people she loves, especially with a peanut butter Kong to snack on. When she's not being a couch potato, she enjoys agility training and walking in the woods and through town. Just don't be surprised if she decides to do six or seven somersaults in a row in the grass. Lily thrives in a chill environment where she can have her space and relax. She’s been trained with top-tier professionals and really 'locks in' during training sessions. She's a joy to work with. She also has lifetime access to training at the Upstate Canine Academy. For the right adopter, especially someone with experience around clever dogs, she’ll be an incredible companion. Young Lincoln is a happy, good-looking pup who enjoys all kinds of activities, but what makes him happiest is being by your side! His foster says: “Lincoln is one factastic boy! He is super sweet and loves every moment of every day!” Lincoln is only about 2 years old and weighs an elegant 80 lbs, with his best days ahead of him! Sadly, he was found tied to the fence of a NYC public shelter, but even then Lincoln maintained his “pawsitive vibe” energy and has since been patiently waiting for his furever home. Lincoln is a loyal friend who will love his future family not only unconditionally, but also passionately with his zest for life! Lincoln does have a higher energy level, but he is easily entertained and could run after a simple ball all day. An active home with daily exercise or a fenced in yard would be best for this handsome boy. Lincoln loves car rides, other dogs, hiking, and swimming! No matter what breed he is, Lincoln sure is easy on the eyes; we speculate he may have some Anatolian Shepherd or Great Pyrenees in him – but with such a love for the water, you would think he is part fish! Lincoln is available for adoption and comes neutered, house-trained, up to date on shots, and micro chipped. Lincoln gets along and has been living with other dog(s) and does OK around kids. Lincoln bonds very deeply with his people and because of his eagerness to please, he was a star student in obedience training. Meet Simba. Simba was dumped in our neighborhood which is very rural. We first noticed him when he walked up the driveway one morning. As soon as we headed towards him, he ran away. Poor thing was scared out of his mind and very confused. He had just been dumped by his family and he had no idea where he was. We set up our biggest live trap and then we waited. The first night, we caught the neighbor's cat. The second night we caught a gorgeous red fox. Third night was a charm, there he was bright and early in the morning. He did NOT want to come out of the cage so we had to lift the cage and bring into the back yard. Took him a while but he eventually came out. The first thing he did as we approached him was roll over on his back! To this day, as soon as anybody goes to him, boom, on his back he goes! He is such a gentle giant, tolerates anybody and anything, including our crazy Chihuahuas who chase him all the time! We had no idea what his breed mix was so we did a DNA on him. Pyrenees is the predominant breed but he also has Bulldog, Golden, Lab and even 5% Chihuahua if you can believe that! He is neutered, heat worm negative, fully vaccinated and ready for transport. Simba is truly a gem! ADOPTION FEE $500
