Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER :   Mr. Popular! Max/Cottontail gets along with everyone! Except chickens!   HISTORY : Max (FKA Cottontail) was the biggest pup in Bunny’s litter and was raised using the Puppy Protocol with proper socialization. He was adopted by a wonderful family with other dogs, cats, kids and a farmette with chickens. He went to an office with the owners every day and enjoyed time with visitors between naps. Max enjoyed playtime until he met the few chickens that he could catch and play a bit rough with. The adopters thought it best to return him to us to find him another home.      PERSONALITY : Max is friendly, laid back, curious, brave and loving. He is very food motivated so he would be easy to train for any advanced tasks. He knows sit, paw, come (in his own time). He goes to a dog friendly office every day and is not reactive, sleeps, greets with a tail wag and is learning not to jump up and hug new friends.  FAVORITE ACTIVITIES : Meeting new friends, chewing all types of gullet sticks, antlers, kong, filled bones, treats and surgically removing squeakers from stuffies between naps.   MEDICAL ISSUES : NONE. Up to date on all vaccines.  Neutered, rear deux claws removed. Max has been exposed to all types of proteins with no issues. Like most dogs, consistent food keep his tummy happy.  He eats 2x per day. He is not a picky eater.  WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME : He would be best around his people and another dog. He has manners and is a gentleman but still needs some structure and guidance. He is still a puppy but a mature one. He would love to be active and have a job to do. Boredom is his nemesis. He enjoys a schedule and his naps. He loves riding In the car so would be a fabulous travel companion. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS : Max just had a first visit to the groomer and did well. Not a fan of the noises of the dryer or the cremel on his nails but, he would get used to it with more experience. He is shedding a bit now in the spring but has not been a big shedder like his Pyrenees momma. His DNA Test came back with 53% Pyrenees from his pure bred momma as well as chow, lab, and lots of others mixed in.   Click here to watch a video of Cottontail (Max).Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Meet Great White, a 2-year-old, 70-lb Great Pyrenees with a big heart, a goofy personality, and the most magnificent feather-duster tail you’ve ever seen. He’s known to his friends as Max, but Great White is his government name. Great White (aka Max) is a lovable, silly boy who truly thrives being near his people. His tail is basically an accessory with its own personality — always wagging, always dramatic, and guaranteed to make you smile. He’s dog and cat friendly, super smart, and eager to please. He already knows Sit, Paw, and Down, and with his love of routine, he does best when his days have a predictable flow. This handsome fluff is house trained and crate trained, making him an easy addition to the right home. He loves playing with toys, and once he’s settled, you’ll find him happily chewing on a good dog chew or treat. Zoomies in the yard? Absolutely — GW lives for them and would happily spend all day outside if he could. He is great hiking buddy for beginner hikers to expert hikers. Great White also loves car rides and going on adventures with his foster parents. The moment the car door opens, he jumps right in, ready to go and see the world by your side. Most of all, GW is looking for his forever family — a place where he can be loved, included, and finally settle in for good. If you’re ready for a loyal best friend with a heart of gold and a tail that could double as a luxury broom, Great White (but Max to his people) is ready to meet you! Great White is currently being fostered in Edison, NJ. His adoption fee is $500. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Hogan is a 6 month old Great Pyrenees mix who is neutered, healthy, and ready to find his forever home. He is an affectionate, friendly, and easy going young dog who brings a calm, steady presence to the home. Hogan enjoys long naps, relaxing in his crate or on a comfortable bed, and spending time simply being near his people. He is very social and enjoys meeting new people and other dogs. He will often sit and wait politely for permission when greeting others, showing his naturally gentle manners. He is playful in a balanced way and enjoys chew toys and bones when he has bursts of energy. He is low to medium energy overall and is equally happy resting as he is engaging in short periods of play or interaction. Hogan is excellent with other dogs and is playful while also respectful, including good turn taking during play. He has been around cats and shows no reaction. He has not been around children. He is not fearful of everyday stimuli and remains relaxed around cars, bikes, skateboards, squirrels, and birds. He is fully house trained and goes outside consistently. He is crate trained and comfortable using his crate for naps and overnight. On leash he is exceptional with very little pulling and maintains a loose leash the vast majority of the time.He knows basic obedience cues including sit, down, name, and follow, and is actively working on leash manners, patience, recall, and building connection with his handler. The ideal home for Hogan is one that appreciates a calm, affectionate young dog who enjoys companionship without being high demand. He would do well in most home environments and could live with other dogs.  ##2738053##

Story
“All you need to know is he’s happy, friendly, and a gentle giant.” Meet Hulk! A 6 month old Great Pyrenees puppy who somehow manages to be both a giant baby and the perfect couch cuddle buddy all at once. Hulk wants to remind you that big pups need love too. While he may already be 55+ pounds, this boy is all softness, fluff, and sweetness. He greets everyone like they’re his long lost best friend, rolls over instantly for belly rubs, and would happily spend an entire rainy day snuggled up beside you watching TV. His foster says he’s one of the calmest puppies they’ve ever had. He’s gentle with people, curious but sweet with cats, great with other dogs, and sleeps quietly through the night in his crate like a perfect boy. He loves walks, carrying toys around the house, and getting attention from literally anyone willing to give it to him. Like any puppy, Hulk is still learning. He’s working on remembering not to jump up to say hello, getting more consistent with potty training, and resisting the urge to chase every bird or squirrel he sees outside. But he’s smart, eager to please, and already knows commands like sit, come, off, and no. The city was overwhelming for him at first but he’s taking his time getting used to the hustle and bustle.  More than anything, Hulk just wants to love and be loved. He doesn’t need a million activities or constant entertainment. He just wants people who will let him be part of the family, include him in the little moments, and give him the attention and snuggles he lives for. Once you meet him, you’ll understand why everyone falls in love with him so fast ##2738052##
