Story
Tofu is a 1 year old Great Pyrenees that we adopted at 3 mo old. He was raised in a large house with a big, fenced in backyard where he could roam all day. We had to move for a new job and now live in an apartment. We have worked with a trainer to help him adjust to city life, but it has not been successful. We know that he will be much happier living with someone who is able to let him spend the majority of his time outside in a fenced in area. He is a very sweet and affectionate dog, but he does have some anxiety and fearfulness that has popped up since the move. He is also rather stubborn given he is a Pyr and does not have good recall. We believe his behavioral issues will resolve given more space and freedom. He has lived with another dog, but given the small space they butt heads. He can live with other dogs but it may take a while for them to acclimate and get along. Ultimately we want him to live a long and happy life and hope that another family is willing to give it to him.

Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Lenny - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hey y'all, it's Lenny here, as in Lenny Kravitz! Yep, I was named after the multi-talented performer as I have many talents of my own. 'I Belong To You' would be my ultimate dream come true. And, 'Are You Gonna Go My Way', where you can be 'My Cab Driver' so we can run thru those 'Fields Of Joy'! Oh my, yep, what dreams are made of!! I'm a youngster of only around 10 months but I have a very gentle soul that does very well with the other foster pups here at the rescue even the young puppies and the itty bitty little ones. I play very gently with them. I am a very happy happy boy that is easy going but I do have a slightly goofy side to me also. The entertainer side of me is the happiest when I get to see smiles and hear chuckles from my people! I probably won't get much bigger then my current 55lbs which I might say is a pretty pawsome size. I am always ready and willing to tackle any and all of those action packed adventures we'll be going on but at the end of the day, I'm also a perfect size for getting my cuddles on! Oh yeah, you know what I'm talking about....belly rubs, ear scratches, a lap to lay my head!! Are you searching for a multi-talented fella? One that will gladly be by your side on action adventures along with your daily going on's? If you 'Believe In Me' 'U Will Know' I'm the boy for you!! You only need to stop what you're doing and fill out my adoption application and I'll do the rest!!

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Harley - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Harley and it comes from the Old English origin meaning 'Hare Meadow', which represents a peaceful and serene image. Just nothing like seeing a Pyr laying in the yard watching! Unfortunately my elderly owner is not able to care for me any longer but I'm trying not to let it get me down as I look for another family to adopt. Did you know that I came from royalty? The Pyrenees breed came from France where we made our way up from being a peasant farmers dog to the royal court being named the royal dog of France in 1675. Even Queen Victoria had a Pyr. We are strong willed and can sometimes be stubborn but more importantly we are affectionate, patient, confident, fearless and gentle. It is said that we wouldn't make a good breed for first timers but if you're aware of the negative traits (sometimes stubborn & lots of hair) along with the awesome good traits, we could definitely make it work. As a youngster at only around a year and a half old, I do have some basic obedience training, am well mannered, I don't jump up unless invited and have a sweet, loving warm nature that just adores getting 'good boys' from my people. I am a big boy of snowy white fluff. I will need several weekly brushings to keep my royal self tangle free and looking dapper and the vacuum will be an extension of your arm with me around but the reward of my adoring love for you will sooooo be worth it!! A couple of daily 45 minute walks a day should be enough to keep me happy. With that daily exercise in I can do quite well in town with a yard or in the country. I fall into the 3 G category which is Gorgeous, Gentle and Giant. Instinctively nurturing with the flock or family, we do make great family members. Just make sure the couch is big enough for sharing!!! My breed tend to love being with the family and are content to lay at or on your feet or curled up with you on that big enough couch. I'm here to adopt me a family and since you're reading this you must being missing something special in your life too, could it possibly be...ME?!!

Story
Animal Profile: Felix is an estimated 10 month old, 90 lb male Great Pyrenees puppy who joined us from Templeton, California, where he has lived the last two months on a ranch. He was found in November in rough shape, emaciated and with nubs for nails after having presumably been hit and dragged by a car. Miraculously, he suffered no horrible injuries and was taken in by ranchers who have cared for him for the last two months. They have found he is social and friendly with all people including kids, bouncy and goofy with other animals, and on the submissive side of the spectrum. True to his breed, he has no prey drive and is good with livestock including chickens; however, when put in with the lambs he chose to escape to be with people so he may not have good working dog potential. He has shown he'd rather be a family dog so we are going to do our best to make that happen for him! Foster Updates: Felix has been a joy to have in the home. He is friendly with everyone and truly seems to enjoy having his mattes brushed out. He is so beautiful and such a sweetheart. He is definitely finding the crate hard and will bark like a seal day and night. He also is not yet house-trained so we are keeping him tethered to learn indoor house manners. We'll continue to work on this to get him trained up! Given his size and breed, we are only considering single-family homes with securely fenced yards for Felix at this time.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes age appropriate neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.   Apply online at  www.DogGoneSeattle.org    February 22, 2024, 2:07 am

Story
**Special foster needed for this sweet gal. Please reach out to Ashlyn 253-217-8685 if you are interested in fostering Tessa.  Animal Profile: Tessa is approximately 1.5 years old, 49 lb spayed female super blend of Shepherd, Husky, and a handful of other breeds. She joined us along with her three siblings on 1/13/23 from Texas. She is dog friendly and great with people. Ideally, we would like to see her go to a home with a securely fenced yard and a fellow canine companion. Foster Update: If you are looking for a gentle, goofy, happy and super sweet girl, Tessa could be the one for you! She has completed a four-week board and train with K9 Command and she made really great progress with leash confidence and commands. We have no doubt she is capable of learning so much more with the right person providing structure, love, support and consistency.  Tessa takes a little time to warm up to meeting new people but once shes does she becomes your biggest fan! She loves to smile, snuggle, play and knows all the best looks to completely win you over! Her eye contact game is on point! Tessa hasn’t met a dog she didn’t like and immediately cozy up to and ask to play. Rain or shine, Tessa absolutely loves being outside in the yard and romping, running and tossing toys around, or just as content lying in the grass watching the birds and soaking up the sun. She is getting better about alone time but she would ideally be adopted to a family with previous dog experience or with another playful well-adjusted dog to help her become comfortable in her new home and live her best life. When adopted, Tessa will get an in person training session and lifetime trainer support provided by K9 Command to help get her off to a great start with her new family! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our rescue partner in Texas and arrived in Seattle area foster care on 1/13/23.February 22, 2024, 2:07 am
