What my friends at Seattle Humane say about me:· I would appreciate slow introductions to new things, I'm still learning new things aren't scary.· A busy area with lots of commotion may overwhelm me as I am a noise sensitive boy.· I may benefit living from having a patient adopter that understands I need time warm up.Did you know that Seattle Humane has Puppy and Dog training classes? Meet Siwoel - An adorable two-year-old Great Pyrenees mix - looking for his furever family. Siwoel is a great dog looking for his very own humans to love. Story
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year Great Pyrenees. She weighs about 90 pounds. She has a beautiful coat and the typical extra back toes commonly found in this breed. This is a guardian breed dog. They naturally will protect their flock or family. This breed will do best in a fully fenced yard as they will roam away if there is no fence. She is good with other dogs and will need some more leash work. She would be great with someone that knows the breed and loves it. She should have the natural tendencies of this breed. She had puppies and we adopted them out. We also adopted out the larger male that was found with her as a stray. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccines, healthy, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas anc can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!!

Story
George will be three years old in July. I got him at 8 weeks old. Now he is around 120 lbs. We did puppy training classes when I first got him but around the 10th week of classes he started to become aggressive towards other dogs. The trainers told me to neuter him as soon as possible so I did but it did not change his behavior. I then sent him to a three week boarding/training facility and they recommend a shock collar. It helped for a short period of time. I think George is over stimulated living in the city and needs a different environment. I only have a fenced front yard so he is constantly upset at everyone who walks by. He can be so sweet and cuddly at times but he is mostly always on guard ready to protect. I am devastated to be rehoming him but I keep reminding myself it is the best thing I can do for George at this point.

Story
Introducing our lovable furry friend! This charming pup is a people-person through and through—ready to soak up all the pets and attention from anyone, including strangers! However, when it comes to little ones, sudden movements and loud noises can startle him a bit. If children are calm and gentle, he's happy to hang out. Although he's not a fan of being carried or lifted up, he's a big fan of canine companions, especially smaller or similar-sized dogs. He's a true protector, but only when needed—stepping up if other dogs are too rowdy or aggressive. Birds? Squirrels? They definitely catch his eye during walks, but with a bit of leash training, he's working on his focus. In terms of energy, he's got the perfect balance—loving outdoor adventures but a total zen master indoors. While he might tug a little on walks, once he settles, he's an excellent leash follower. Busy streets can be overwhelming, so quieter spots are more his style. No guarding resources from people, but he might issue a gentle growl if other dogs get too close. When it's time to travel, he prefers a cozy crate in the car—helping ease those nerves and avoiding any car sickness. One thing's for sure—he's a potty pro outdoors only! Basic commands like sit, stay, paw, and eye contact? Nailed it! And did we mention he's a sucker for ice cubes? If you're ready to welcome this gentle giant into your heart and home, reach out to our team today to make him a part of your family! Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees but if the potential adopter wants to pay the fees we will accept PayPal. Another very sad story. We got a call regarding a dog who needed help & they wanted to surrender this boy Rambo due to nothing he did wrong. As it happens the lady was calling because her nephew had bought this boy as a tiny puppy from someone here in WA state in Olympia & he had siblings too. We don’t know what come of the siblings. He had abandoned this innocent boy with his aunt & wasn’t coming back for him & let her know that. We organized for Rambo to be surrendered to the rescue & it was very clear that Rambo had been extremely well taken care of by the aunt but, she had not signed up for a dog let alone a Great Pyrenees puppy & had a very busy job & he was being left alone all the time. Let’s face it, this boy was no longer the tiny puppy, but he had turned into a massive beautiful boy at 7 months of age & was still growing. Rambo is a major sweetheart, this boy is nothing but love & wants to be with people & loves their companionship. We have also discovered he likes dogs company & enjoys going on walks & is a good walker. He is very affectionate to & is very loyal to his people. He actually cried when the aunt left him & we ended up crying with his broken heart. Rambo is such a great eater & is not shy about eating & has not been since the day we got him & he has put on more weight in the rescue. He does know how to walk on his harness & leash & has been taught to walk on a slip lead. Rambo rides in the car well & considering the only times we know of was when he was surrendered to us & going to & from the vets. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lad only. We are looking for a crate free home for this boy, there is no need for him to spend his time in a crate. We are also looking for a forever home for Rambo where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Rambo is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him & never give up on him. Rambo has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes. Rambo could be an only dog but does well with other dogs & enjoys their company. A fully fenced yard is mandatory for his new forever home. Rambo is roughly 55.8 lbs & he is ‭7 months old & a Great Pyrenees‬. What he is mixed with we are not sure, male, he is neutered by laser by our wonderful vets, he is microchipped, received all of his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. Rambo has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have had her around small children & he has done amazing but we do do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Rambo was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Rambo’s friends & siblings he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Rambo potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Rambo & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx or Zoom due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Rambo who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for the special sweet little chap. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Rambo has an adoption fee of $995 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Story
Look at that face! Kara is impossible to resist. This sweet 5-year-old Great Pyrenees is eager to find her new humans. She's looking for a family that's home often and can give her plenty of cuddles and treats. Kara is nervous in new situations and with new people and is looking for experienced adopters who can help her build her confidence through positive experiences and allowing Kara to set the pace for interaction. She startles with loud noises and is looking for a home in a quiet area. Once she trusts you, she's all about those pets, and gives excellent kisses. Kara may do well with some dogs given a slow introduction but is nervous when first meeting new dogs and any introductions should be done slowly. Kara is looking for a home with no cats or other small animals. Kara is looking for a quiet, adult only home and is not a fit for an apartment or condo environment. She would love to have a fenced backyard for outside time. If you're ready to open up your heart and home to this gentle giant, send in an adoption application today! #cuddler #nokids

It's fun to learn what my nose knows!· I have a good history of playing with other dogs and would even benefit from having a confident, playful dog sibling in the home.· I love playtime out in the yard.
