PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE INQUIRING Due to a high volume of interest, we are unable to respond to all inquiries. Thank you for your understanding. Please only submit one online application. List all of the dogs you're interested on the application. The ideal candidate for almost one year old, semi alpha female, Finnley must have experience with working dog breeds as well as be an active person. She would like exercise daily, does well on walks and would be a great partner to explore the outdoors. Finnley does well in an environment where she will get lots of one on one attention. If you spend the majority of your time at home or need to do road trips Finnley may be the girl for you. She does well traveling...enjoys the ride and hasn’t had any car sickness. At home, Finnley loves being in the same room with you and enjoys rubs behind the ears. Finnley can be finicky at meal time. Sometimes Finnley will eat her meal on her own and other times she likes to eat her meals out of your hand or as you hold her dog dish. A little bit of practice with her helps her to pick up these cues. Finnley is a light to medium eater, and really enjoys meaty treats and dog biscuits. Also, Finnley will surf! She will sneak in extra snacks if left on the kitchen counter, so be mindful because if you forget it will become an extra treat. Finnley does not enjoy being in a confined space such as a kennel. For her, happiness is being in an open space area where she does not feel confined. Finnley is very quiet outside, and enjoys relaxing under the sun and observing her surroundings. I’m tolerant of strangers walking by the fence, and I don’t run up to the fence or bark at them. Outside play activity of playing fetch is still a work in progress but its enjoyable nonetheless. Leash work for Finnley is going well. She is just not a big fan of the leash sometimes she will pout or resist, but once you stop moving and refocus her attention she does better. NO CATS. Dog selective. Please no apartments, condos, or mobile home parks. A home check is required. Yolo County adopters preferred, but will consider other locations. If you are more than 100 miles away from Yolo County please be aware that there may be a small additional expense associated with travel cost. No out of state adoptions. Adoption fees are non-negotiable. If you are interested in meeting Finnley, click the following link. https://form.jotform.com/221116924195050. Complete and submit our online dog application. Please note, you only need to complete the application once, even if you're interested in multiple dogs that are available. The adoption fee for Finnley is $450. *Vetting includes: Neuter/spay, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, heartworm test, flea preventative, heart worm preventative (including the remainder of their 6-month supply), and any other necessary vet care.
