Story

Dasher! Inside this boy's wee head is a swirling spin of hearts & flowers. He's a bit of a baby brain, meaning: Simple/uncomplicated. Sweet and highly affectionate. Obedient, kind, hopeful and in-your-lap affectionate. Drop the stereotypes. He's a Husky/Shepherd type dog but is not an escape artist, he doesn't howl. He's a bit of a nerd who wants to belong, so stays close to his people and nudges in for head rubs when he can. He's been such an easy keeper that he gets to leave his kennel at the Rescue Barn and join us for little field trips in our house. Nicely house trained, and very well behaved around all the dogs on the property. You can see his play style on our Instagram Page. This is Clark! He is a very good boy but a very energetic boy! We’ve had clark about three months, ever since my Aunt passed away. It has become increasingly clear that Clark needs more than we can give. He is an escape artist and loves to roam the neighborhood. He always find his way back home after taken a nice walk. He needs to be walked but is not good on a leash. He’s a puller. He gets along with other dogs but he has guarded his food from our other dog, not often, but it happens. He is great with kids! He is very tolerant of our toddler, however I think he would do better in a home without kids or a house with older kids because he really needs time and attention. Overall, he is very lovable and sweet but needs someone who can spend time training him, walking him, and giving him a secure yard that he can run around in. We unfortunately don’t have all his vaccination records. We’ve scoured my Aunts home for them but have been unable to locate them.

Ivan is a very sweet and happy fostered Huskador (Husky and Labrador mix) looking for his forever home. He is 3 years old and weighs about 60 pounds and is full of personality. He is very lovable and will be by your side looking for affection and will definitely make you smile every time he receives a pet, a hug, or a treat. Ivan is an all around great dog that gets along with all people, children, and other dogs. He walks well on the leash, does great in the car, and is ready for new adventures. He has been neutered, full vaccinated, and microchipped. He is house-trained, but he does not like being in a crate. Ivan does have a sister named Ivanka whos is posted separately. It would be ideal to keep them together, but we are open to having them get adopted separately. Either one of these beautiful dogs would be a great addition to any loving family. Echo is a chill, smart and loving dog that settled in quickly and smoothly into his foster home. Highly trainable, and polite on a leash, he catches on quite quickly to instructions and loves his structure. He enjoys a typical day playing and socializing, having a blast on his multiple daily walks, and cuddling up at night on the couch. He is a homebody at night, and oh boy he loves his outings during the day. Echo loves to run! His foster sibling can attest to the fact that he is comfortable with other dogs and would make a fantastic doggy sibling. He is not particularly fond of toys or bones, but he sure loves his food! He must have some awesome doggy dreams because he sleeps like an angel. He thrives with patient, caring people who are comfortable going slow with his physical space, so he'd be best-suited with older, dog-savvy kids. (He warmed up fast in his patient and caring foster home.) He prefers to be with people than to be alone, so he’ll be one happy boy if he gets to be your working buddy! Loki is a 4 year old husky mix who came to Rocket Dog after his owner passed away. Loki has been living with his friend Quinn. They rely on each other for comfort and companionship, and must be adopted together. These dogs are typical huskies - active, energetic, vocal, and playful - but they have great training and would adapt well to a home environment. They would do best in a home who has experience with huskies or has done the necessary research and prepared themselves for caring for these special dogs. Loki is an extra-large guy and does need to lose some weight. He currently weighs in at around 110 pounds.
