Story
Zari was adopted from Prince George’s County Animal Shelter in July 2025. She is 2 years old, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. We can provide all paperwork from the shelter.Unfortunately, we were unexpectedly forced to move from our family home of 14 years and have since made the difficult decision to sell our home. We are temporarily living with family, including a young child who is fearful of dogs after a prior incident, which limits Zari’s space in the home. She has gone from having a large, fenced-in yard (nearly an acre) to a much smaller townhouse setting, which simply isn’t ideal for her energy level.Zari is extremely friendly, energetic, curious, and fully housebroken. She is wonderful with kids, very affectionate, and loves attention—she’ll happily greet everyone with kisses. We want nothing more than to find her a loving home where she’ll have the space, attention, and life she deserves.

Story
Prepare yourself for a dog who looks like he was custom-designed by a Hollywood casting director. Koda is a striking Pit/Husky mix with sparkling blue eyes that will have you wondering how he possibly ended up in a shelter instead of starring in a dog-food commercial. Koda can be a little timid when meeting new people, so he appreciates a slow and easy introduction. Give him a little time to decide you’re worthy of his friendship, and once he’s comfortable… congratulations! You’ve been promoted to Official Cuddle Human. Koda is also a playful guy. If he likes you, he may invite you to a game by dropping into an adorable play bow—basically his way of saying, “Enough with the introductions. Are we PLAYING or what?” He’s okay with other dogs and would love a home where he can continue building confidence, enjoying some fun, and soaking up plenty of affection. With his blue eyes, handsome looks, cuddly personality, and goofy play-bow invitations, Koda is pretty much the full package. Come meet Koda. Just be prepared to fall for those eyes.Interested in adopting Koda? We recommend submitting a general online adoption application and then heading to the shelter during our normal adoption hours to meet our available animals. *Please note: all applications are considered GENERAL until the animal has been met. Story
Meet Luna – A Loving Companion Looking for the Right Home My name is Jason, and it’s incredibly difficult to say this, but I’m currently in a position where I need to find a new home for my dog, Luna. Due to a new job that requires frequent domestic and international travel—including to places that restrict pit bull–type breeds—I can no longer give her the stability and consistency she deserves. Over the past several months, I’ve seen Luna become increasingly stressed despite working with trainers and my vet. It’s become clear that the best thing for her is a home where she can have more time, attention, and companionship than my current lifestyle allows. Luna is a 1 year, 9 month old Husky/Lab/Pit mix (turning 2 in June), weighing about 46 pounds. She is spayed, fully vaccinated as of March, and in great physical health. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loyal. Luna is house-trained and crate-trained, loves other dogs, does well with cats, and is comfortable around older children. She can be a little shy and anxious when meeting new people, but once she warms up, her playful and loving personality shines. She loves giving kisses, going on long walks, running freely, playing fetch, enjoying frozen Kongs with peanut butter, and curling up next to you for cuddles. Luna does struggle with being left alone for long periods (over 8 hours) and can experience separation anxiety. Because of this, her ideal home would be one where someone is home most of the time—such as a work-from-home household—and ideally with a fenced yard where she can run and play safely. More than anything, Luna just wants to be close to her people and feel like part of the family. This has not been an easy decision, but I truly want what’s best for her. If you think you could provide Luna with the loving, stable home she needs, please reach out. I’m happy to answer any questions and share more about her. Thank you for taking the time to read and for considering giving Luna the life she deserves.August 23, 2026, 9:40 am

Story
Knox was born in North Carolina. We got him from a breeder off of good dog website when he was about 10 weeks old. He turned 1 on July 9th this year. He was very easy to house train as well as crate train. He is a very active and friendly dog who enjoys sitting outside and playing with toys.He is both house and crate trained . Unfortunately my fiancé and I schedules have changed and does not allow us to give Knox the time and attention that he needs. We want him to be with a family or someone who can spend a lot of time where he has more space and freedom.

Story
Meet this sweet, loving 4-yr-old boy! He is playful, vocal, and full of personality. He loves people, does great with kids, and is always ready for fun or a good conversation in classic Husky style. He sleeps well in a crate at night and does well inside of a crate during daytime stretches. He will thrive in a home where someone is around often and can give him the active, stimulating lifestyle he needs. He’s up to date on all shots and, like most Huskies, he does enjoy chasing squirrels, so a secure yard or attentive walks are important.I’m rehoming him because l’m expecting and can’t give him the high-energy lifestyle, time, and exercise he truly deserves. He is an amazing dog who will be a wonderful fit for the right family; someone with the space, time, and activity level to match his sweet, adventurous spirit.

Story
So my name is Diamond, which we all know is an END product of extreme pressure and raw materials.... and I think my name reflect me pretty accurately! I was found by my "owner" many years ago, but was abandoned by him when he broke up with his girlfriend and she inherited me..to put it nicely..... THEN, she couldn't keep me and I came to the rescue..... I am 6 yrs old but my eternal puppy face" can be misleading. However, I play like a puppy and am GREAT with other dogs! I am a gentle and happy girl who deserves my own family again! I have an OLD injury from my days on the streets, my back leg was xrayed and determined it is old injury and I take glucosamine for joint health. I am a fluffy, puppy faced sweetheart! DON'T PASS ME UP! I am here, waiting :) Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
