Story
We took Kelsey to an adoption event at PetSmart and she was the star of the show. She was excellent on the car ride to the event, she even sang along with the sirens of a fire truck that drove by. She was great on the leash, very comfortable in the store environment and wanted to meet every passer-by- including children. She curls in and leans for affection from strangers, asks for belly rubs and doesn`t mind even very invasive affectionate handling by the public. She was so comfortable and calm around other dogs. She definitely flirted with another senior husky dog, Nikolai. She was just a stellar guest and stole the hearts of many. Despite her age, she is spry and engaged and loved being out and about for an adventure.

01/10/26 16:41 We took Nikolai to PetSmart today for an adoption event and he was fantastic! Nikolai jumped in the car and rode nicely the whole way. He loved walking around and exploring the store- he was not even the least bit stressed or nervous. He enjoyed watching the other dogs and meeting people of all ages. He was very calm and had the best manners. He was happy to sit and give paw at every opportunity for a tiny Charlie Bear treat (which we found are his favorite). He was particularly fond of being around the other senior husky called Kelsey. He seemed to want to engage with the baby husky who was there and part of another group. Nikolai is a little bit sensitive towards his hind end and it may be from Arthritis (?) as he did get stiff after the days activities he is 12 years old, after all. Submitted vet slip TM

Story
Hi there, I’m Ace! I’m a 3-year-old male, about 50 lbs., and a Siberian Husky / Border Collie mix —which means I’m smart , energetic , and full of personality! I’m a total cutie with bright eyes and black-and-white fur (or so I’ve been told ). I LOVE to play and show my excitement with happy hops and play bows. I’m well trained and know how to sit and lie down on command . I love treats and will sit nicely for them—though I might get a little bouncy if I’m extra excited. Walks are one of my favorite things ‍. I get excited when you grab my leash, take care of business right away outside, and then I’m ready to explore. I’m generally easy on leash and comfortable meeting other dogs face-to-face. At home, I adjust quickly to new surroundings and routines. I sleep quietly through the night and will politely let you know when I need to go out with a gentle nudge or soft peep. I’m a warm, social boy who thrives on companionship . I like being near my people, love kisses, and enjoy soaking up pets and belly rubs . I’m usually quiet, but I’ll alert you if someone’s at the door or a squirrel shows up. According to his foster, Ace bonds quickly, settles easily, and is a joy to have in the home. I’m great with kids and would love a home where I can get lots of love and playtime.   Health-wise, I’m feeling awesome Heartworm negative Up to date on all vaccines Neutered If you’re looking for a smart, bouncy, loving adventure buddy with a big heart and an even bigger personality, I might just be your guy! Story
Cooper is an almost 3-year-old, 65lbs, white Husky with beautiful blue eyes. This boy breaks the mold by being easygoing, not noisy, rarely howls, and is very calm. He is very loving, human oriented, seeks affection, and enjoys cuddles; icing on the cake? He’s good with children, cats as well as small dogs (much smaller than him). Cooper is always excited to receive visitors in the house and might knock a few things around doing his love dance, so teaching him place, and other impulse control commands, will help curb his enthusiasm. He usually settles after the initial excitement. He loves his walks and can be very excited puller on leash. His new owner must commit to working with him on leash manners. He is not leash reactive unless it's a larger hyped up dog; he doesn't care if it's a smaller dog. He can be redirected as long as the other dog is not getting reactive. Cooper is NOT a dog park candidate. You must find other ways to give him the enrichment his breed craves. Cooper has no known resource guarding concerns, is not bothered by storms or fireworks, he rides well in a car, and can be trusted left uncrated around the house. Naturally this kid is nuts about snow and cold weather :) And it’s a no brainer to say, hot weather is not his thing. He enjoys watching TV especially shows that has animals or animal sounds. Cooper loves his chew toys, which must be durable cause he’ll kill a stuffy in a blink :P More pictures at my petfinder profile: https://www.petfinder.com/dog/cooper-7b023974-dd6a-43b1-b809-2201502c0330/md/silver-spring/tascas-love-cooperative-inc-md511/details/ Adoption radius: within 60 miles of zip code 20906.
