Story
Simone is very intelligent and loves to learn. She has excellent leash manners, knows many behavior/tricks, enjoys car rides and outings to pet friendly stores. She is a high energy dog who loves hiking, swimming and playing fetch. She would love to do agility and has experience over jumps and tunnels. The more you want to do, the more you give her to learn, the happier she is. She also *loves* bubble baths. Unfortunately Simone has resource guarding tendencies with other dogs and while we love her deeply, our multi dog household is not the best fit for her. An ideal home for Simone would be a home with no small animals or other dog where the person either works from home or has a flexible schedule and is able to provide her with a minimum of 2 hours of activity (walking on a leash will not be sufficient). She is a wonderful dog with a solid training foundation. We will offer free continued training to whomever adopts her.

Story
Meet Avery, a 5 year old, 46 pound female full bred Siberian Husky that is quiet, food motivated, and loves activity/exercise, especially with other playful dogs. Her joy comes from intense play with other dogs and running off leash through a stream promptly followed by a big drink of water and a peaceful nap. Avery is a compliment generating bundle of husky fluff that without fail receives a compliment on how cute she is every other day.Avery interacts well with other dogs, understands how to be gentle with smaller or more senior dogs, and respects another dog saying they are not interested. Her interaction with cats/other pets is unknown and does not have experience with small (toddler or younger) kids. Avery knows the basic commands (sit, down, stay, and come) as well as paw (shake), nose (touches her nose to you), and has surprisingly strong off leash recall....for a husky. A fenced yard is necessary if left outside unsupervised, but she is off leash trained and does disengage when called. She seldom jumps onto a person and responds quickly to loving correction. Avery's typical exercise consists of 2-3 one mile (or many more miles) walks a day, weekly excursions such as hiking on weekends, and frequent dog park (or other dog oriented socialization such as daycare). Given adequate exercise, Avery will sleep every other hour she is home. As a non-vocal husky, she will randomly surprise you with a cute, soft reminder it is time for a walk or that she would like to play but does let other dogs know how happy she is to be playing off leash with them. Ironically, Avery is not a fan of cuddling but desperately wants you to sit on the couch so she can lay next to you or have a belly rub.Avery's ideal forever home is with a family/individual that is active outdoors with another dog to match her energy and a yard to sit and watch people or chase squirrels. Avery has not lived with other pets or small children (toddlers or younger) but is highly adaptive when given attention, a schedule, and plenty of exercise. Avery is up to date on vaccinations, monthly heartworm, and flea/tick prevention.Ready to make Avery a permanent part of your family? Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13730Hi! My name is Holly, I arrived as part of the transport to OPH on 7/12/24. I’m guessed to be an 8 month old Siberian Husky mix and weigh approximately 43 pounds at the moment. My foster mom says I'm an absolute sweetheart who loves to snuggle and even though I'm still a puppy who's learning and growing, I really want to please my people. I'm very polite, rarely bark, walk well on a leash, seem to be potty trained, and am learning to like my crate with some whines/barks when I first go in, but we are working on that and I get better every day. I respond really well to redirection and positive reinforcement, especially treats, and would have so much fun at a puppy training class to fine tune my skills, I'm sure to be the star of the class because I'm so smart. I've already learned sit, down, and am working on roll-over.Check out Holly enjoying some pool time funI would love a home with another pup who loves to run, play, and wrestle. And while I seem to love everyone, I might have too much energy for a home with very small children, but kids who can run and play with me would be great! My foster mom said she thinks any family who is lucky enough to adopt me will have a fun, loyal, loving friend for life.
