Story
Balto is a rescue we received during covid. He's been a good dog but needs his forever home and we are closing our husky care. He needs a big fence and time outside. He can and will happily be outside 95% of his time. However he misses having a female dog. He seams to be in the air on males. If he is alone he will bark. He's a sweet dog that just needs someone's love. He is in urgent need of placement as a tree went through our fence and dog house. He can not spend long in the house each day due to other male dogs.

Story
Meet Peep – An 8-Month-Old Husky Looking for the Right Match 🩵Unfortunately, Peep has found himself back at the shelter through no fault of his own, and we're hoping his next home will be his forever one.Now 8 months old, Peep is right in the middle of adolescence—a stage where his larger-than-life husky personality is on full display. He's smart, vocal, energetic, stubborn, and always has something to say. If you're familiar with huskies, you'll recognize all the classic traits in this handsome boy. If you're not, Peep is probably not the dog to learn with.Peep needs an experienced owner who understands the breed and is committed to providing the structure, consistency, and training that a young husky requires. He's incredibly intelligent and eager to engage with the world around him, but like many huskies, he can be independent and likes to make his own decisions. He will thrive with someone who is willing to continue working with him and channel his energy into positive outlets. One thing Peep does exceptionally well is communicating. He isn't afraid to let you know how he's feeling and is very clear when he needs space. Because of this, he needs a home with adults only or older, respectful children who can understand and honor his boundaries. He is not a good fit for homes with young children.Peep is still very much a puppy despite his size. He loves to play, enjoys attention on his terms, and has plenty of energy to burn. He'll need an adopter who is prepared for all the fun—and challenges—that come with raising an adolescent husky. Most of all, Peep needs a chance. At just 8 months old, he should be learning about the world from a loving family—not growing up in a shelter. The longer he waits, the more important it becomes to find him a home that can provide the guidance, patience, and understanding he needs to become the incredible adult dog we know he can be.Peep isn't looking for a perfect family—he's looking for the right family. One that appreciates his quirks, respects his boundaries, embraces his husky antics, and is willing to invest in his future.Could that be you? 🐺💙📍 730 Church Street New Kensington, PA📝 Adoption Application: https://form.jotform.com/213275062626049📧 adoptions@animalprotectors.net📞 (724) 339-7388

Story
Homer is 15 weeks old and currently weighs 21 lbs. He is expected to be on the higher end of medium sized when fully grown. Mom is a Husky mix, and dad was a Lab mix. We are thinking around 50 lbs for him at full grown. He is a sweet boy who loves playing with his siblings. He loves to romp around outside and looks like a goofball at times due to him still figuring out his bigger body/paws. He loves to find a good toy and spend good amounts of time entertaining himself! He is doing great with crate training so far and will try to alert you when he needs to go out to relieve himself. Like most young pups, he is still learning not to puppy nip, but with training, that will pass. He does well with dogs of all sizes in the foster home. He has not been around cats yet, but is young enough to learn.  He was part of the Baseball litter of 11 pups that came from a hoarding situation back in April! They are all healthy and now wanting to find their forever families! He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date with all vaccinations. He is available for adoption now! Apply for him directly at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144, KL#16182. ##2731227##

Story
Hugo is a 4-month-old 15lb Husky mix, who's looking for a loving home.   Hugo was rescued from a local hoarding situation. This poor boy had a rough start to life. He will need some time to decompress in his new home. He's looking for a family who is willing to be patient, as he learns to build trust. He is such a handsome boy, with his piercing white/blue eyes and his big ears. His pictures do not do him justice.  Like any puppy, Hugo spends his days playing hard, napping even harder, and continuing to improve his house and crate-training skills. He’s looking for a home that will appreciate his fun personality, sweet nature, and loyal companionship. Hugo can be a little shy at first, so he’ll thrive in a calm, quieter home with someone willing to give him time to build confidence. Having another friendly, well-adjusted dog in the home would be a huge plus to help show him the ropes. Hugo is currently being fostered with 3 dogs and is doing well listening to their cues.  Experience with Huskies is a bonus, and we encourage anyone interested to research the breed to ensure it’s the right fit for their lifestyle. With the right support and environment, Hugo has all the potential to grow into a happy, confident companion. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and is available for adoption now. Apply directly at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144, KL#16182. ##2715816##
