Story
Abner is my gentle giant. He is 9 and turns 10 on January 1st. Abner will eat anything. Loves meat, fruit, veggies, snackies (very opposite from his sister). He doesn’t like being dirty (hates rain and walking through puddles). He had a hedgehog collection and likes to protect them like they’re his literal babies. Abner and Indi (the white dog) have been together for the last 9, almost 10 years. I got them when I was 16/17 and I am now 27. They are wonderful with kids and all animals and any sort of social gathering. They love the attention. Their favorite person is now my daughter, they love to follow her around and play with her or lay down with her and watch a movie. Unfortunately my daughter has severe eczema and even with keeping them to certain areas of the house her reactions are getting worse. I would love to keep Abner and Indi together. They are my babies are are the most loving dogs when it comes to being with family.

FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks! --- Meet the River Litter. They are all so different lookin and honestly, since they were rescued from a homeless camp with multiple dogs, it's hard to say if they are all related. They all seem to be the same age, so we think it's a pretty good chance they are siblings. We did the DNA test on Joaquin - it's a mix of 15 breeds, but we are calling them Pitskys! Tulee's foster mom say's he's kind of "doo doo dooooo" - dorky and silly. He's always got a 'smile' on his face. This puppy is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated! They are about 17 weeks old and in the 25# range, so we think they will be in the 60# range when fully grown. Maybe a little bigger. Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot! They will cry in their crate, might need a potty break in the middle of the night. They will pee and poop in your house - your fault ;) - and will chew on your shoes, your childrens toys and maybe even the furniture. But... once transitioned into your home, will be life long companions! The 3-3-3 rule is a guideline for transitioning a rescue dog into its new home and helping it to settle in. It suggests that the first three days should be used for adjusting to its new surroundings, the next three weeks for training and bonding, and the first three months for continued socialization and training. Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. Adoptions typically take place in Marysville. Adoption fee is $525. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible. Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sundays to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home. Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We dont ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your dog.

Story
Flash has grown out of his busy puppy phase and matured into a handsome young adult with a sweet, easygoing personality. He still has that classic Husky charm and playful spirit, but he's much more content to enjoy life's adventures at a relaxed pace. Flash gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to play with or simply hang out beside. He's also fantastic with kids and loves being included in family activities. Whether it's a walk around the neighborhood, a hike on the trails, or just relaxing in the backyard, Flash is happiest spending time with his people. Like any Husky, Flash is intelligent and will continue to benefit from positive reinforcement and consistent guidance, but he's settled into a well-mannered companion who is eager to please. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate dog with a fun personality, beautiful Husky looks, and a calmer outlook on life, Flash is ready to become your new best friend. He can't wait to find a family to call his own and share a lifetime of adventures, cuddles, and unconditional love. Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
