*** REQUIRES ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOME*** ++ NEEDS A HOME (NO APARTMENT) WITH FENCED YARD ++   NAME: RENFRI VELLGA   AGE/GENDER: 7.1.21   BREED: HUSKY   TEMPERAMENT: PLAYFUL, ENERGETIC, VOCAL   WEIGHT: 50ISH LBS   HOUSE TRAINING: Great, as long as you are on a consistent schedule and go for walks.   CRATE TRAINING: Good. She's fed and sleeps in her crate. She requires music when crated. Seriously. Girl snoozes only to dog music on youtube. Otherwise enjoy husky screams.   OTHER DOGS: Great. She is an exuberant player and requires another dog her size and energy level. Not the best with little dogs. You know, prey drive and all.    CATS: NO CATS.   CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 8 and older   ADOPTION DONATION: $550   HEALTH: RENFRI is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines.   Your adoption donation goes toward offsetting the cost of this vet care as well as other incidental costs of care.    HISTORY: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find NAME a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do!   NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: RENFRI VELLGA is a great girl who LOVES to play. She's sweet and sassy and requires an experienced husky owner as this girl is going to rule the roost otherwise. Typical husky energy level and vocalizations. She does have separation anxiety so there has to be another dog in the home due to the pack mentality that most huskies have. Her recall is nonexistant so no dog parks unless you yourself can run like the wind. She's an energizer bunny, so if you hike forever or like to jog, this girl can totally keep up with you and then some! And yes she likes to GO GO GO but she can also chill chill chill but ONLY after she's gone hard. She's athletic and will parkour all over the house. No apartments or townhomes because of her husky woo woos! She's a little mischief maker when left to her own devices and will take advantage of things left on the countertop because, you know, finders keepers and all that! So you can't get mad because them's the rules!   All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar (or a harness, if necessary), depending on each dog's particular needs. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup!   ABOUT MOTLEY ZOO: Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue! We are a rock and roll themed, volunteer-run, foster based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization based in Redmond, WA. Motley Zoo is a FOSTER BASED organization, which means our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes (or partnering pet stores) where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. We do not have animals available for casual viewing and same day adoption. Due to the volunteer run structure and decentralized/ virtual  nature of a foster based group, an approved application is required to make an adoption appointment for any of our animals. If you are interested in one of our Adoptable Roadies, please email adopt@motleyzoo.org and request an adoption application (the auto-responder also has a link to our application). We will work toward getting you approved as an adopter so that we can set a time for you to meet your new best friend! Motley Zoo also runs "Rock Star Treatment Dog Daycare" in Redmond, WA where proceeds from this service, help support our rescue's vet budget- however, this is NOT a shelter. For more information about daycare or training, check out www.rockstartreatment.org. Please visit our website www.motleyzoo.org for more information! Thanks for considering adoption- we look forward to helping you find your best match in a furry friend. Rock on- The Motley Zoo Crew September 23, 2023, 11:27 pm

** NEEDS ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOME ** ++ No apartments. Must have a fenced yard. ++   NAME: Eva Greene   AGE/GENDER: 3 year old female   BREED: Husky mix   TEMPERAMENT: Shy, gentle, loving   WEIGHT: 50ish pounds   HOUSE TRAINING: Good.   CRATE TRAINING: Good.   OTHER DOGS: Eva loves other dogs and does require another dog in the home.   CATS: No due to her breed.   CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 12 and older   ADOPTION DONATION: $500   HEALTH: Eva is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines.   Your adoption donation goes toward offsetting the cost of this vet care as well as other incidental costs of care.    HISTORY: Prior to coming to us, Eva spent the first few years of her life chained up, so she's learning how to trust people and live inside- and she's doing great. She has come out of her shells so much. Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find her a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do!   NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Eva is a gentle, sweet, adult husky mix who is looking for a quiet home with another dog. She really understands dogs more than people, so she takes cues and comfort from them and it helps her learn, trust and grow.   Eva has come such a long way since she arrived, especially as she's discovered how nice and comfortable a home can be and she no longer wants to be outside in inclement weather or left alone for long. She does however enjoy the yard very much and as she's used to hanging out and enjoying the scenery, she will need a fenced yard for her continued happiness.   She is not super playful and she prefers other dogs and people to be calm. An intense, high-energy household would be difficult for her, but she'd love one where Netflix and chill or walks and hikes are a part of the routine.   She is a gorgeous dog who sheds like a maniac as huskies tend to so be aware of the need for brushing!   In all, Eva is a gem and we can't wait till someone sees her the way we do! *** AXL REQUIRES ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOME AND NO CATS ***   NAME: AXL ROSE AGE/GENDER: Puppy (born 11/22/2022), Male BREED: HUSKY MIX  TEMPERAMENT: Playful and mischievous, and even mellow! yes, I know, basically unheard of in a husky ESTIMATED ADULT WEIGHT: 50ish lbs    HOUSE TRAINING: Axl is housetrained and goes outside with a consistent schedule. CRATE TRAINING: Good. Axl loves his crate and sometimes will go into the crate on his own when he's tired. OTHER DOGS: Good! Axl has been raised with dogs of all ages and sizes and does well with them all.  CATS: NO CATS. Huskies have a prey drive as a general rule, which Axl is following. CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 8 and older ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00 HEALTH: AXL came to us with a ruptured bladder! This was repaired but something you have to be cognizant of  and require at least yearly exams, especially as he may possibly have future bladder stones. Prior to adoption, puppies will be altered, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. Puppies are given vaccination boosters in our care; however, adoptive families will be responsible for the remaining vaccinations that puppies need. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs.  HISTORY: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find him a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do! NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: In a nutshell, Axl is AMAZING.    Obviously he's not perfect, because he can be a little cranky when he's tired or has a highly valued treat. But only with other dogs. He's still young so he still does like to chew and will need supervision and appropriate toys. Otherwise he's a perfect little gentleman.   He is a typical husky. So not cats. No recall. The occasional yelling, which means no apartments. The occasional ignoring of the commands because he just doesn't feel like it and you haven't provided him with the proper motivation.   But he's a gem of a husky boy otherwise. We're often told at events that he attends how misrepresentative of the husky breed he is because after 15-30 minutes of socializing, he's done. And by done, he's chillaxing. After playing he will often put himself away in his crate for a nap. He does indeed love his naps.   He also is a typical husky in that he's very dog social and people social. He greets everyone without issue.    He's just the happiest little boy. Happy to be with you. Happy to see you. Happy to hang with you. Happy to walk with you. Happy to train with you. Happy to nap with you.   Axl has had training and does excellent on the leash, knows his basic commands. He's the perfect guy to go with you to breweries or other dog friendly establishments.    You seriously couldn't ask for a better companion than this little guy.   All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness, depending on each dog's particular needs.   Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization that is run by volunteers. Motley Zoo does not have a brick and mortar shelter location. Instead, all our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. Please email adopt@motleyzoo.org and request an adoption application and we will work toward approving you as an adopter with our rescue so that we can set a time for you to meet!   For more information, please visit www.motleyzoo.org.   Thank you for considering adopting a dog in need!   Woof,   The Motley Zoo CrewSeptember 23, 2023, 11:27 pm

*** MUST HAVE ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOME ***   NAME: Arrax LITTER: He is part of the "House of Dragons" litter AGE/GENDER: Baby (born 4/1/2023), Male BREED: Husky TEMPERAMENT: Playful and mischievous, high energy   HOUSE TRAINING: Not yet! But he is getting there! He is a baby so he'll need a consistent schedule with multiple opportunities daily to go outside while he works on it. Puppies should not be considered reliable in regard to housetraining until 6-12 months of age. They're a lot like toddlers, who require diapers! CRATE TRAINING: Good. he is currently crated. However, at times, he does sing the song of his people. OTHER DOGS: Good! He will need continued socialization, like all puppies! CATS: Huskies have a high prey drive. CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 12 and older - he can be a little dominant so kids will need to be dog-savvy and know how to read dog body language ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00 HEALTH: Arrax is healthy! NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Arrax is a puppy so he's playful and has a lot of puppy energy! He is super cute and fun, but a lot of work. His forever family should be committed to lots of training - obedience, housetraining, and socialization. This will ensure that HOB grows into a confident, well behaved adult! Puppies' personalities are dependent on their environment, and the structure and training they are given, in addition to socialization. Their personalities continue to grow and be shaped by their new adoptive families. Puppy daycare and socialization classes or puppy kindergarten are highly recommended for their personal development. He will more than reward you for all your hard work with lots of love, loyalty, and laughs.   Arrax is a typical strong-minded husky. He can be a little dominant, so would do best in a home with husky or power breed experience so that he doesn't think he is in charge. Arrax is a wonderfully social boy and has been the star of many events. Huskies are pack animals and can have separation anxiety, so it's best that he have a canine buddy in the home. He's also an energetic boy and not a couch potato. He's the perfect partner for outings, especially outdoorsy events and even to your local brewery.   All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness, depending on each dog's particular needs.       Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue.
