Story
We are Mishka’s third home. We acquired her from a military family that was living down in the Joint Base Lewis-McChord area who also acquired her from another military family, we are assuming relocated. She has been with us since October of 2020 and has been around our lab that is 4 years older than her and has also grown up with our two kiddos. She is a very vocal pup and loves to play as well. We don’t have any cats so we don’t know how she would be with them. We call her Mish and Moo (moo) for short. She likes frozen blueberries as a nice snack but will eat any other yummy treats.

Story
Looking for a soul dog for the quiet adventures — forest bathing, weekend camping, and everything in between?Meet Max: Three Legs, One Big HeartHi, I’m Max, a 5 year old, 60 lb Husky who’s living proof that you don’t need four legs to live your best life.My story starts in Lebanon, where I was found with gunshot wounds so severe my leg had to be amputated. I was alone, in pain, and had been through more than any dog should ever endure. An incredible team of animal rescuers found me, refused to give up on me, and fought hard to get me every bit of care I needed - multiple surgeries, treatment for blood parasites, and so much more. That journey brought me all the way here, and I’ve never looked back.I lost one of my legs, but honestly? You’d barely know it. I hike, I explore, I roam — and I do it all at an easy, unhurried pace that makes every outing feel like a good idea. I’ve also been doing good off-leash lately, which makes adventures with me that much more fun.I’m independent, easygoing. I don’t require constant entertainment or attention. I’m happy just being with you, whether that’s trotting alongside you on a leisurely hike, joining you on a camping trip, and quietly hanging out beside you at home after my sniff walk. With people, I am pure sweetness. I love being petted, I’m super treat-motivated, and I’ll reward your patience with so much loyalty. I do best in a home with a yard where I can wander and sniff around. Apartment life may not be a good option for me.A note about mealtimes - I like my food to be mine. A home where dogs are separated during mealtimes and food or resources aren’t left lying around is exactly the kind of setup where I thrive. Simple management, no drama. If you’re someone who enjoys having an independent soul dog, loves getting out in the outdoors, and wants a one-of-a-kind adventure buddy, I think we’d make a pretty great team.Three legs. Zero limits. All heart. 🐾If you’d like to make me family, reach out to my rescue PawesomeBaby!———————————————Max will be arriving the Pacific Northwest end of May. Please contact us to meet him and adopt him when he arrives. We are looking for an active family for him. And a home with a fenced yard; no apartments. He’s adoptable in WA, BC and AK.For Alaska adoptions, we cover the transportation. You only have to pay adoption fees, and offer the loving forever family he can count on!Check out the Instagram story highlights at @PawesomeBaby for more pictures and videos. ———————————————Age: 4 yrs 9 monthsSex: Male, neutered Vaccination: current on core vaccines. Story
(More pictures coming soon)Meet Ella the PrincessHi, I’m Ella! I have the cutest floppy ears, blue eyes, and the kind of warmth that makes everyone feel like they’re my favorite person.I’m a 6-year-old, 50lb husky. My story doesn’t start easy. I was found as a malnourished stray who had lost her puppies. But you’d never know it from the way I show up every single day, because people make me the happiest girl alive.I am a certified people lover. From the moment I meet you, I’m all in with no fear, no hesitation, just pure joy. I love being close, being part of everything you do, and soaking up every bit of attention you give me. Family time is my favorite time.I’m friendly with dogs and do well at the dog park. And speaking of adventures, I would absolutely thrive with an active family just like the huskies. Walking, hiking, camping, exploring, I am ready for all of it.I was cat tested once. I could possibly do well with a cat who isn’t scared of dogs and a human who’s experienced with slow cat introductions for dogs with prey drive. My dream home is one where I get to be the center of my people’s world, an active family who keeps their dog close, loves getting outside, and has plenty of room in their heart for a girl like me. I could be adopted as an only dog or with a fur sibling who doesn’t mind a sassy princess sister. If you like to make me family, reach out to my rescue PawesomeBaby!———————————————Ella will be arriving the Pacific Northwest end of May. Story
Luna is arriving the PNW next week. We are looking for an active home for her, where she can get daily walks, weekend hikes and all the adventures the Pacific Northwest can offer!Hi, I’m Luna 🌙My story begins in Saudi Arabia, where I was given to a family as a gift. They had no experience with dogs, and when I had an accident inside the house, they hit me with a stick and moved to the backyard, left chained in the brutal desert heat.A kind person saw my photo on social media and stepped in, taking me to a vet who found more signs of beating on my back. But from the very first moment I was free, I was friendly, gentle with kids, tolerant and soft. I’ve been through a lot, but it never changed who I am.I made my way to Lebanon, where I lived alongside 6–7 cats without issue and thrived with other dogs of all sizes. Indoors, I’m calm and quiet — no barking, no destruction. With people, I won’t run up to greet you right away. I’ll hang back and watch first. But the moment I decide you’re safe, I’m all in for cuddles and closeness. A kind, patient home with a fur sibling will help me remember that not everyone is out to hurt me. Once I know that, I truly blossom!I love the outdoors — hiking, exploring, adventures. A home with a friendly Husky or similar breed and an active lifestyle would make me absolutely light up. I’ve already come so far. I just need someone to take me the rest of the way. I’m also quite small for a husky and mellow with everyone I meet 🤍If you’d like to adopt me, reach out to my rescue.More pictures and videos at @PawesomeBaby Instagram stories.—-——————About Luna:• 🎂 Age: 2–3 years• ✨ Spayed female• 🐺 Size: Medium Husky• 🤝 With dogs: Loves them — thrives with a canine companion• 🐱 With cats: Has lived with cats — cat trainable• 🌸 With people: Shy at first, blossoms once she knows you’re friendly• ⚡ Energy: Active — loves walks and outdoor adventures—-——————

I got him October 29,2020 he was a couple weeks old. He is now five years old. I am hoping that he goes to a home, preferably with no kids and somebody that will be able to give him more time and attention and care. I would describe him as goofy and loving and very dramatic.

Story
Meet Almond – Sunshine in Dog Form Almond is a 1-year-old yellow Shepherd-Husky mix who’s ready to trade her past for a fresh start—and maybe a yard full of squeaky toys. This sweet girl was rescued off death row in Downey, CA. She had almost given up hope when someone asked Red Waggin’ to give her a second chance. Now she’s safe in Washington, dreaming of her forever (or foster!) family. Almond is equal parts playful and people-loving. She greets new friends—human or canine—with joyful energy and a few excited barks. Once she’s had a chance to say hello, she settles in quickly and just wants to be part of the pack. She's done well with other dogs and would thrive in an active home where she gets attention, structure, and love. We’re still learning more about her every day, but she’s already showing us that she’s eager to please and full of potential. She’s one of those dogs who makes everyone smile—and you can tell she knows it. - Outgoing - Smart and eager to learn - Sweet with people and dogs - Needs an active, attentive home - Available for foster or adoption If Almond might be your next best friend, please visit redwagginrescue.org/adopt to fill out a foster or adoption application.
