Story
Luna is a 2 and a half year old, 48 pound, husky mix. She is wonderful girl with a perpetual smile! Some of her favorite things are toys, fetch, lounging on the couch and cuddling with her person. She loves to be brushed and belly rubs are the way to her heart. Luna has quite a bit of energy and is looking for a family who is active enough to give her the exercise she needs. Please be aware that all of our pets are in foster care in South Texas. They are transported to their new homes once adopted. We are 100% volunteer based, so it could take a day or 2 before we are able to process an application. Story
Animal Profile: Daisy is a 1-year-old female Husky that was surrendered locally with her sister, Sky. The family's kids acquired both as puppies this past August and quickly learned they couldn’t provide everything these dogs needed. When left unsupervised, the girls would escape the yard and go on adventures. After being caught no less than 6 times, the family decided to surrender them before there was an accident. Daisy and her sister are friendly with people, good in the crate, and enjoy playing in their fosters securely fenced (6 ft reinforced) back yard. Unlike other huskies, Daisy and Sky are not as vocal as other huskies, although they do sing for sirens. They’ve lived with other dogs and kids without issue.   Foster Updates: Daisy is independent, affectionate, and pack oriented. She is in a foster home with two other male dogs, and has been a wonderful 'mama' to some foster puppies. She gets along well with everyone she meets, and loves spending time with the family. Daisy can often be found lounging about her yard, rain, sleet or shine. She walks well on leash, and was a hit at the 4th of July parade in Bothell. She is house and crate trained, but needs a securely fenced yard in her forever home. Adopter Profile: Beed experience preferred Other balanced dogs OK Dog savvy, respectful kids OK No cats  Single family home with securely fenced yard   Adoption Info:  Daisy’s adoption fee is $550, which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Animal History: Daisy was purchased as a puppy in summer of ‘22 with her sister. They were surrendered when their family could no longer safely contain them.September 24, 2023, 1:38 pm

Story
Animal Profile:  Kubo  is an estimated 2-year-old 55 lb neutered male husky mix who was at risk for euthanasia due to limited space at Fresno Humane after being confiscated when his oner was taken into custody back in April, and having no adoption interest for months. Kubo has been social and friendly with all people at the shelter, and good with other dogs big and small in playgroups. Shelter staff said he is "very friendly and easy to handle." He is kenneled with puppies! We will share more as we get to know him in foster care. Seattle Foster Update: Kubo is a sweetheart who just wants love (from everybody), he still has some puppy tendencies and definitely doesn’t not quite know how big or strong he is. He’ll be walking and just walk into a branch, which is kind of adorable. He tries to say hi to every dog and human that walks by, but as I’ve earned his trust I can get him to focus on my pretty quickly. He has been incredible in the crate and seems to be fully house trained. The biggest struggle has been walking simply because he’s pretty strong. I live by myself with my dog in an apartment and he’s been great. We go on a long walk every morning. He would probably be a great hiking/running buddy. He then gets breakfast and relaxes in his crate for a bit. A couple hours later I’ll take him out to pee and bring him back in to do some training. We got sit and touch, but still working on down. He’s very sensitive to praise and corrections, he’s a little on the thin side and loves treats. He still doesn’t really understand the concept of toys. I think Kubo needs someone who is active and relatively strong. Once inside he’s pretty low key and doesn’t bark. I wouldn’t suggest having small kids simply because of his size and lack of awareness. His favorite thing is to jump and hug you (we’re working on it). We’ve been to coffee shops and he does great. He also did amazing at the cider house and relaxed around a lot of chaos. I think with time and love he’ll be an incredible best friend. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from Fresno Animal Shelter and arrived in Seattle on Tuesday 6/6/23. He was found as a stray in the Fresno area in April 2023. This dog will be available for adoption in Seattle once evaluated. September 24, 2023, 1:38 pm
