Story
Rescued him from Seattle animal shelter a little over 6 months ago. He hasn’t chewed anything on my house at all. Is potty trained. I’ve been working on crate training him but he needs a little more time. Overall he is a really good dog but just has some things he needs help working on. I’ve got some health issues that are making it too difficult to care for him so sadly I have to give him up. He’s so lovable. And could be such a good fit for the right person.

Story
Meet Denali! Denali is a wonderful 12 month old Husky mix pup. He is medium in size at around 35 lbs and is a wonderful boy.  He is a calm and manageable puppy - he loves to chase (flirt pole) and tug and wrestle, and is learning fetch. Denali LOVES WATER! He is curious, loves to sniff anything he sees, and can be cautious with initial introductions but warms up quickly. He is flexible, playful, well mannered, potty trained, and affectionate! Denali is in the puppy mouthing phase but is redirected easily and loves a good long chew session. Very treat motivated and we are building handler engagement, but he will also happily self-entertain with chews and toys. After his morning play/walk/train and breakfast he usually takes a long nap.   Denali is potty trained and is in the process of learning crate training. He is very attentive and trainable!  Denali is very excited by cats and can be very enthusiastic about meeting them. With a patient cat, he would thrive, but while he is learning about boundaries should not be left alone with cats. He is great with other dogs. Denali is neutered, vaccinated and chipped. His adoption fee is $450   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Xarpo! Meet Xarpo, a young female Husky mix named after the Greek goddess of fall—and just like her namesake, she’s absolutely stunning. Everyone who meets her can’t help but comment on her striking beauty, but it’s her fun-loving spirit that truly wins hearts. Xarpo may be initially shy and nervous with both people and dogs, but she warms up quickly, revealing her playful, energetic, and affectionate personality. She is a social butterfly at heart and hasn’t met a dog she doesn’t like. She would thrive with a dog companion her size or larger, as she can be quite rambunctious and energetic—perfect for dogs who enjoy active play and puppy energy. Xarpo is learning her manners and basic commands, including polite play, not jumping, and proper interactions with both people and dogs. She does well in her crate overnight, though during the day she much prefers to be out and about, as any active Husky mix would. She’s in the process of house training—she’ll go outside when asked but occasionally forgets when she’s busy playing. She has seen cats but hasn’t been trained to live with them, as she’s far more interested in her canine friends. Not suited for apartment living, Xarpo can be vocal and needs space and activity to thrive. With her adventurous spirit, she’d make a fantastic running or hiking partner. Xarpo is ready to find her forever family—one that appreciates her beauty, nurtures her confidence, and gives her the active, loving life she’s meant to live. Could she be your perfect fall goddess?  Xarpo is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Gorgeous blue eyes and a sweetheart to boot, meet our spring Posey! Posey is a "shepsky" husky x shepherd female about 3 years old. After a rough start where she was crated all day and night, underfed and neglected, she was saved by a Good Samaritan who brought her back to health and let her know what it was like to be loved! Unfortunately, they are no longer able to care for Posey so they have asked us to help find her forever home. Her fosters describe her as "darling" and we agree! Posey is affectionate, smart (oh so smart), great on a leash, loves humans, other small critters and cats. At this time we believe Potato Posey will do best as an only dog as she really wants her people to herself. Through our partnership with Fi, Posey will also go home with a Fi Mini GPS tracking collar free for 6 months. Posey has been spayed, is fully vaccinated and microchipped included in her adoption donation.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Odyssey — The Big, Goofy Malamute With an Even Bigger Heart If you love a dog with personality, presence, and a whole lot of charm, Odyssey is ready to win you over. This big, smiley Malamute is the definition of a gentle giant—affectionate, goofy, and absolutely devoted to the people he loves. Odyssey is known for his escape‑artist theatrics and his playful “catch me if you can” routine, but his oversized ears always give him away. He may try to act sneaky, but he’s far too endearing to pull it off. Because he’s clever and curious, he’ll need a secure 6‑foot fenced yard to keep his adventures safe and contained. What Odyssey loves most is attention. Leaning into you for affection, rolling over for belly rubs, and staring at you with the most loving (and sometimes hilariously awkward) gaze—these are his specialties. Despite his size, he’s a total sweetheart who just wants to be close to his people. Watch him run and you’ll see those big ears bounce in every direction, perfectly matching his joyful, slightly clumsy energy. Whether he’s joining you for a long walk or romping around the yard, Odyssey brings fun and enthusiasm to everything he does. Odyssey is the perfect match for a family who: Has a secure 6‑foot fenced yard Enjoys an energetic, playful companion Appreciates a dog who is both goofy and deeply affectionate Wants a larger‑than‑life personality who will always keep them smiling Life with Odyssey means laughter, love, and a whole lot of Malamute charm. If you’re looking for a big sweetie who will fill your days with joy, Odyssey is ready to be your new best friend.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 29, 2026, 6:14 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is TILLY, a cute female Alaskan Malamute who is eagerly looking for her furever home. She may be a mixed breed, but has the malamute mask, brown eyes and big paws. Tilly is the leader of their little pack. Loves to run, climb play, but can be short tempered. Easy to train and funny. Loves to give snuggles and kisses but quickly runs off to play.  Always ready to jump and play chase. She likes to be close to you when you sit.  Tilly is shy when meeting new people and will take a little time to warm up to you. She is leash trained but only if you go where she wants to go. Knows to sit and wait for treats versus grabbing for them.  Tilly is learning to ride in a car but has not gotten used to the movement yet and can become car sick, the foster is continuing to take her on short drives to get used to the car more. She is c rate trained and on her way to being potty trained. She has very few accidents anymore and will try to let you know when she needs to go out Tilly and her litter mates were recently found in Eastern Washington.  They were rescued and brought into foster homes where they are beginning their puppy training.  Unfortuantely, someone docked their tails but otherwise they are healthy, happy and full of energy. She will have all her vaccinations, is already altered and ready for a new home soon. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet SHASTA, a beautiful Malamute mix with a bright spirit and an adventurous heart. She’s an active, outdoors‑loving girl who thrives on long walks, hikes, and any chance to explore the world with her people. If you’re someone who loves fresh air, movement, and a loyal companion by your side, she’ll fit right in. Shasta gets along wonderfully with other dogs and she’s been exposed to a wide variety of animals. She does well with cats, chickens, ducks, pigs, and even a goose. The only animals she struggles with are rabbits, so a rabbit‑free home is important. She’s crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and knows a great set of commands, including: Sit, Wait, Load up, Okay (her release word), Leave it, Cross (she waits for permission to cross the road), Paw, High Five and Get it. Her recall still needs work, so she should remain on leash during outdoor adventures for now. With consistency and patience, she’ll continue to grow. Shasta will do best in a home with older kids or no kids, simply because her energy and enthusiasm are better suited to a more mature household. She’s an ideal match for outdoorsy people who enjoy staying active and want a dog who can keep up. Most importantly, she’s looking for people with lots of love to give—because she has plenty to give back. Shasta is ready for a life full of adventure, companionship, and affection. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic partner to share your days with, she might be the perfect fit.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 29, 2026, 6:14 pm
