Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Hansel! Hansel is a 3½-year-old, 55 lb Husky/Cattle Dog mix who came to us from a rescue in CA after he and one of his siblings were abandoned. Despite his difficult start, Hansel has remained an incredibly sweet, affectionate boy who is ready to find an active family to call his own! This handsome guy is everything you’d expect from a Husky and Cattle Dog mix—smart, athletic, energetic, and always up for an adventure. Whether it’s hiking, running, exploring new trails, or simply getting outside every day, Hansel is looking for a family that can match his active lifestyle and give him plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment. Hansel has done well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends, though he prefers slow, thoughtful introductions. He has a rough-and-tumble play style and can be a little growly and grumbly while playing, but it’s simply part of how he communicates during playtime. Like many intelligent working breeds, Hansel is clever and resourceful. He has been known to climb fences, so he’ll need a very secure, escape-proof yard or adopters with a solid management plan to keep him safe. His forever family should be prepared to provide structure, supervision, and continued training to help him thrive. Hansel is a loyal, loving dog with so much to offer the right home. If you’re looking for an adventurous companion who’s always ready to hit the trail, learn something new, and be your partner in every outdoor adventure, Hansel just might be your perfect match! Hansel is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Balto! Balto is a 5½-year-old, 75 lb Husky/White Swiss Shepherd mix with a big heart, a true love for the outdoors, and is ready to find an active, committed family to call his own. Balto is strong, athletic, and full of energy. He would thrive in an adventurous home that enjoys hiking, running, backcountry skiing, and other outdoor activities where he can really stretch his legs and be part of the action. He can be slow to warm up to new people, but is a loyal, sweet companion who forms deep bonds with his people and will be happiest when included in daily life and adventures. He does well with other large dogs but prefers slow, thoughtful introductions. Balto has a strong prey drive and is not a fit for homes with cats, small animals, or small dogs. Balto will also need continued training and structure as he settles into home life, as well as a secure, fully fenced yard in a standalone home. No apartments or condos, please—he would do best in a quieter setting, preferably outside of busy city environments where he has space to relax and decompress. If you’re looking for a loyal, outdoorsy adventure partner who will stick by your side through every trail and every journey, Balto is ready to meet you! Balto is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Marvin! Marvin is a 2.5-year-old, 55lb Golden Retriever/Husky who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA after his owner could no longer care for him. He’s had a rough start, but this bright, goofy boy is ready for a fresh beginning and a forever home that will give him the love and consistency he deserves! Marvin is incredibly smart, eager to please, loves people and bonds quickly with his humans. True to his breeds, he’s a mix of playful and mellow: he can romp around like a puppy one minute, then settle down for a quiet nap by your side the next. He’s food motivated but surprisingly gentle when taking treats and not protective of his food. He’s also a pro at fetch and loves showing off his retrieving skills! Marvin is working on his confidence around other dogs. He can be wary and reactive at first, and with some dogs more than others. Because of this, he’ll do best in a home where he’s the only dog and with a patient adopter committed to continued positive training and slow introductions. As Marvin is still working through some reactivity around other dogs, he is not suited for busy city life or an apartment. We are looking for adopters that have a free-standing home and a fenced backyard for him. Some decompression time in a foster or forever home will do his nerves quite a bit of good and help nurture his calmer, confident side! He’s house-trained, sleeps soundly through the night beside your bed, and won’t stir until you do. Marvin does have some separation anxiety that his forever home should be prepared to work through, he thrives when he’s close to his people and in a calm, predictable environment. He would also do best in a home without cats. Marvin listens well to simple corrections like “hey” or “no,” especially when he’s tempted to sneak a peek at the countertop buffet. Above all ~ he’s a loving, affectionate companion who just wants to be near his people and be part of their world. Marvin has so much heart and potential ~ he just needs a home that can offer structure, patience, and a lot of love. He is not your typical ‘golden retriever’ despite his looks, and will need a rescue experienced family that can help him gain confidence and refine his training. In return, you’ll get a loyal, fun, and endlessly rewarding best friend! Marvin is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Duffy! Duffy is a 1½-year-old, 30 lb Husky/Airedale Terrier mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This fun-loving guy is packed with personality, energy, and adventure-ready spirit! Duffy is energetic, spunky, curious, and always ready to go. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be right in the middle of whatever adventure you’re planning—whether that’s hiking, running, road trips, or exploring new trails. He’s a true high-mileage boy looking for an active home that can keep up with his zest for life. He’s also smart, trainable, and eager to please his handler, making him a great candidate for continued training and bonding activities. Duffy loves having things to do and people to do them with. Duffy does well with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship, though he can play a little rough at times because of his enthusiastic puppy energy. He’s super sweet with people and has a happy, playful personality that makes him a blast to be around. He’s looking for a home that wants an active, outgoing dog to share life’s adventures with and continue helping him become his very best self. If you’re searching for a fun, athletic, goofy sidekick who’s always ready for the next adventure, Duffy might just be your perfect match! Duffy is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. Story
Our dog, Scar, came to us from a good friend in Florida who breeds his breed. We were very grateful because we knew Scar came from a caring and loving home. From the moment we brought Scar home, he showed us what a sweet dog he is. He loves being around people, enjoys getting attention, and is always happy to make new friends. Whether he is playing at the park, going for walks, or relaxing with me and my wife, Scar has a gentle and loving personality. One of the things we love most about Scar is that he is not aggressive at all. He is calm, friendly, and gets along well with everyone he meets. But since we’re in an apartment we feel that the dogs needs are not being met and we want want to give him the best chance at living his beautiful life.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Goliath! Goliath is a 6-year-old, 80 lb Lab / Chow / Anatolian mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. He’s a big, handsome boy with a lot of presence and an equally big heart for his people! Goliath is incredibly loyal and affectionate with those he knows and trusts. He loves playing fetch, is highly treat-motivated, and will happily give you his full attention when food is involved. Once he bonds with his person, he’s devoted, loving, and eager to please. Because of his size, strength, and independent streak, Goliath is looking for a very specific home. He can be a bit stubborn at times, so he’ll need a confident, experienced handler who can provide clear structure and guidance. He unfortunately does not do well with other dogs and can be reactive, so he will need to be the only pet in the home (no dogs or cats). He’s also strong, jumpy, and can be mouthy when excited, so we’re looking for a home without young children. Goliath would thrive in a standalone home with a fully fenced yard, ideally in a quieter, more rural or suburban setting outside the city where he isn’t overstimulated. A calm, predictable environment with a confident, experienced handler will help him be his best self. Consistency, routine, and leadership will go a long way with this big guy. Large-breed experience is a must. Goliath is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Say hello to Bosco! He is a ~4 yo, 60lb, Border Collie/Akita mix. (Our best guess to his breeds, but he could have other breeds as well!) Bosco came to us from CA, in search of his forever family. While we are still getting to know Bosco, so far, he has been is a loving and sweet boy. He has been friendly to all people he meets, and enjoys affection! He is smart and loves treats, which makes training fun and engaging. Overall, he is a happy boy that will enjoy a family that is active with him, spoils him with love, and can continue basic training to help him grow into the best dog he can be! Bosco is active and loves going for walks and being outdoors, he would make a great adventure companion! We are still getting to know Bosco’s behavior with other dogs. He has done well with some dogs (usually calmer females), but some high energy/dominant males can make him a little nervous. He will do great in a home that can continue to help him decompress, as the kennel environment can greatly affect stress and how dogs interact with other dogs. Bosco can be an escape artist, and should have a secure yard in his forever home, and while getting to know him, should not be left outdoors alone. He just wants to be with his people! Who can blame him? Bosco is UTD on shots, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
