Story
Say hello to Roger! An amazingly sweet and loving 2 year old, 50lb Husky who is looking for his forever home! Roger has a wonderful temperament, is smart and eager to please. He is great with other dogs and requires an active dog for companionship and play in his forever home! He can get bored without another dog friend and feels more confident with other dogs around. Roger loves going on walks and adventures and does well on leash. Roger prefers to be outside than indoors, and requires a home with a fully fenced large yard for him to roam and play. Roger is not tested with cats, we think kids over 8 would be fine! Roger does not do well being crated and can have some anxiety with being indoors, we think he may have been an outdoor dog most of his life. He would do best in a home that has a outdoor secure dog run he can be put in whenever he needs to be 'crated', or a family that has the experience and time to work on crate training with him. He is on the waitlist to be neutered and will be neutered prior to adoption. He is UTD on shots and microchipped. Don’t miss out on this unicorn pup! Apply on our website. His adoption fee is $500.

Hi!  My name is Sky!  Im a 1.5 year old Alaskan Malamute.  People say I'm active and a total sweetheart!  I love humans and would do anything to make them have a good time.  I am ok in my crate and can do walk very well with a lead leash.  I am housebroken.  I love to play w toys, but they have to be made for my breed.  (Strong) I have to say NO To Cats.  They are so interesting to me.  I chase them like I do squirrels. Apparently they are not ok w it and keep telling my humans.  So...pls no cats. We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier.  I've had all my required shots, have a microchip & neutered.  I'm ready to meet you.   Our application review takes about 10 days.  This adoption process will require 3 videos of (outside of your home, backyard, and inside of your home) since we are not able to conduct home checks at this time. We will be calling 2 references (Not related to you please). We will be contacting your veterinarian (We work with 1st time owners) to make sure you have vaccinated all your pets yearly, and that all have been spayed/neutered. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Colorado & Canada. We will book your baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received.  If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then go to https://www.petstablished.com/organization/920716    ##1613011##

Animal Profile: Daisy is a 1-year-old female Husky that was surrendered locally with her sister, Sky. The family's kids acquired both as puppies this past August and quickly learned they couldn’t provide everything these dogs needed. When left unsupervised, the girls would escape the yard and go on adventures. After being caught no less than 6 times, the family decided to surrender them before there was an accident. Daisy and her sister are friendly with people, good in the crate, and enjoy playing in their fosters securely fenced (6 ft reinforced) back yard. Unlike other huskies, Daisy and Sky are not as vocal as other huskies, although they do sing for sirens. They’ve lived with other dogs and kids without issue.   Adopter Profile: Beed experience preferred Other balanced dogs OK Dog savvy, respectful kids OK No cats  Single family home with securely fenced yard Foster Updates: Stay tuned for details. Adoption Info:  Daisy’s adoption fee is $550, which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, and microchip with lifetime registration. Story
Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they are adopted. All our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Echo - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Echoes roll from soul to soul and grow forever, a sound repeating, having a lasting or far reaching impact. That's our Echo boy!! He will definitely have a lasting impact on your life. He is very affectionate, the very definition of a cuddlebug!! Echo adores and wants attention from his people more then anything else. Echo does great with other dogs but his favoritest thing is curling up for a nap right beside his most precious thing...YOU!! He always wants to face the sunshine so the shadows fall behind him, wanting to live life to the fullest and focus on the positive. A great attitude to go along with his pawsome easy going personality. Echo is a handsome 2yr old that comes in around 50lbs. The perfect size to carry a backpack on hiking/camping trips. It gives him a purpose and saves your back. Well now, isn't that a win win situation?!! And he does great on car trips, another of his favorites! Things to know about being owned by a Husky :) - Huskies are known to be good natured, very outgoing and friendly. They have a playful, cheerful personality with just a dash (or 2!) of mischief thrown in. They love to see what kind of shenanigans they can get into and will keep you on your toes. Life with a husky will never be dull. They are very intelligent and have a great desire to please their people but need to be provided with plenty of exercise to keep them satisfied and the shenanigans at a minimum. And of course, huskies shed a lot! A brush and the vacuum will become extensions of your arms BUT there is nothing like being on the receiving end of a husky's love!!!! Do you have room in your heart and home for this fine specimen of handsomeness? Awesome... lets go, he is ready and eager to become a member of YOUR family!!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Max is a 7-year-old Alaskan Malamute/German Shepard/Lab mix. Max has bounced around a couple of homes due to some behavioral issues but with the right family that is dedicated to him and his training, he is a wonderful dog! Max will resource guard and is protective over his food, toys, and his person. His previous family claims he began this behavior after getting attacked at the dog park at the age of 2. The majority of the time he is a great dog with no issues, but he will need a family that is experienced and can work with him in the areas he has some issues. He is up to date on all shots, neutered, potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash unless he sees a bunny, squirrel, or another dog. Since Max can be protective of his person, Max needs a single owner home or a home with two very experienced and committed owners as he will likely end up bonding with and being protective of one of the owners. We will not place him in a home with multiple people (roommates) or kids. Max would do better in a non-urban area. He's not a dog that can be left tied up outside a store and is a bite risk for strangers. The owner will have to be vigilant about proper introductions. He's fluffy and beautiful, strangers and children will want to pet him. Max should be the only dog in the home with no cats. Max is a great dog and has a lot of love to give to the right family. His adoption fee is $450.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Say hi to Niko! This sweet Alaskan Malamute has had a rough past and is ready to move forward with his loving forever home. Niko is around 3 years old, 70-80lbs and a big fluff of love! Niko was a stray dog in Mexico, which is a tough place for a Malamute to be a stray! When Niko joined us he was severely underweight, and is now up to a much more healthy weight for him. Niko does resource guard (with food, toys, etc) around other dogs, which is no surprise as he is used to competing for his food and resources as a stray. He does do well with other dogs, as long as there are no resources for him to feel like he needs to protect. He would do best as an only dog in the home, but is fine out and about with other dogs. He is a dog that with some professional training, stability and structure could definitely improve with his resource guarding. We are looking for one of two homes for him, a home where he is an only dog but can get continued training and supervised socialization around other dogs, or a home that is very experienced with resource guarding and has another large, laid back female dog that is not interested in toys. Outside of his resource guarding, Niko is an awesome dog! He loves to play with toys with his people, likes to hang out in the yard with you or in the house. He also really enjoys going for walks and hikes! He is great on car rides, is crate trained and is quiet and rests in his crate, he is working on his potty training which with his background is to be expected. Niko would be best suited in an adult home only due to his resource guarding he is working on, but could do ok in an experienced home with kids over 12. Niko would love to have a home with a fenced yard. No apartments, no cats or small critters. Niko is neutered, microchipped and UTD on shots. His adoption fee is $400.
