Meet Almond – Sunshine in Dog Form Almond is a 1-year-old yellow Shepherd-Husky mix who’s ready to trade her past for a fresh start—and maybe a yard full of squeaky toys. This sweet girl was rescued off death row in Downey, CA. She had almost given up hope when someone asked Red Waggin’ to give her a second chance. Now she’s safe in Washington, dreaming of her forever (or foster!) family. Almond is equal parts playful and people-loving. She greets new friends—human or canine—with joyful energy and a few excited barks. Once she’s had a chance to say hello, she settles in quickly and just wants to be part of the pack. She's done well with other dogs and would thrive in an active home where she gets attention, structure, and love. We’re still learning more about her every day, but she’s already showing us that she’s eager to please and full of potential.
