Meet Yukon – Hello...Adopt Me!! HISTORY: Yukon was rescued as a stray in eastern Washington in February 2022. He was dirty, skinny and had several lacerations. He was obvious that he had been living on the streets and fending for himself for a while. Vets believe that he was born in Early 2018. UPDATE: Yukon is a now a big beautiful boy with a luxurious coat and ready for his forever home! Yukon is looking for an active family who will include him in all their activities. He would like a home with a yard and a 6' high fence that he can't jump over. Bonus if he finds a home with Husky/northern breed experience, and someone who loves to run like he does! He would also be good a playmate. Yukon would do best with older gentle kids as he would be too much for toddlers. He needs a home WITHOUT cats, chickens or small critters. DOG ADOPTION FEE INCULDES: All basic vaccines including rabies, flea/tick treatment, spay/neuter and microchip! If you're interested in ADOPTING or FOSTERING, please go to our Website and Click on the BIG RED BUTTON that says…DOG Adoption/Foster Application.https://www.redwagginrescue.org/adoptPlease don’t hesitate to contact us at ConnellPetRescue@gmail.com, if you have any questions or would like more information. ##1346034##

Story
HISTORY: Saint is young 65 pound boy who was picked up as a stray in a church parking lot Eastern Washington. He is a loving, playful, smart boy. He will do best in a home with another dog he can play with. He loves to run, chase, and wrestle with his foster brother. He needs a yard with at least a 6 foot fence where he can run and play tag. A previous foster family took him for long daily runs which he enjoyed. Saint is friendly when meeting new people and has been well behaved the few times he was around children. We do not know how he does with cats. He loves car rides and will jump right in the car. He walks nicely on leash. Saint likes to be brushed and will snuggle up if you scratch the right place under his collar. He submits to claw trimming while distracted by treats. He prefers to have his own place for sleeping (he will not stay on his human’s bed overnight). He will go in his crate for short periods of time, but will start to find the weak points of his crate after a little longer, or will chew on his mattress. He does not like to be separated or isolated from his humans. He will behave best when he can be near his humans most of the day, preferably with a person who works from home. At meal times Saint has not been food aggressive, and he is food-motivated during training. He loves a little canned pumpkin with his meals. He tends to gobble his food quickly, so we have him eating from a slow-feeder bowl with water added to his kibble. Saint is smart and learns quickly. He is learning from his foster brother and his humans, but still needs training and positive reinforcement to become his best. ADOPTION INFO Dog adoption fees include: - All Basic Dog Vaccinations - Rabies - Bordetella - Flea & Tick Treatment - Spay/Neuter - Microchip & Registration All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs and cats in our rescue. Tango has the  typical husky personality.  They do all the typical things huskies do, but at much less the intensity most huskies do. Breed familiar adopters are preferred, huskies are not for beginners but Tango and Foxy would be considered oddly well behaved for huskies. Tango and Foxy are incredibly affectionate and cuddly.  Tango and Foxy  lived with children their entire lives and do quite wonderfully with them. Above toddler age children would be best  due to their size.  NO cats or small dogs. Their exercise needs are relatively low, but they do prefer at least a small yard to lounge outside in. Foxy and Tango are crate trained as well. They are insured through Embrace Pet insurance, and the policy can be transferred to new owners. Tango has congenital hip dysplasia and has had one hip surgery. Due to this, extensive exercise isn't necessary or suggested.  Home check and application required. Preferably adopting Tango and Foxy out local to Tacoma area to make home visit and transferring them a little simpler. IMPORTANT - Please Note:  TANGO is being listed as a courtesy. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Interested in adopting? See our adoption process. NOZOMI is named after a bullet train in Japan, living up to his name he loves to go full speed with his zoomies!  He is goofy,  smart, observant, and curious.  All the characteristics of a fun pup ready to learn. NOZOMI was rescued from a home where he was outside in a kennel with little exposure to the world beyond his home.  H e is learning to walk on a leash and basic commands.   So far he seems to be house trained and loves to lay on his comfy bed after a nice long walk.  He is not sure about car rides and will need rides to fun adventures to realize how great a car ride can be.   He appears to do well with other large dogs.  But a little caution and slow introductions will be best for all.  His furever family will need to have the time to work with this boy and give him lots of love and attention.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 26, 2023, 2:08 pm
