Meet Kodak – The Husky With a Heart of Gold! Kodak is a mellow, sweet-natured husky who came to us as a stray. He absolutely *lives* for his walks—the happy little dance he does when he sees the leash will make you smile every time! This boy is what we call “active calm.” Out on the trail, he’s an energetic hiking or running companion, soaking up every adventure. At home, he’s a certified cuddlebug, happiest curled up next to you on the couch. Kodak’s calm, people-focused nature is rare for a husky. He’s great with other dogs, thrives on companionship, and would do best with someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule. A big backyard would be a bonus for this outdoors-loving breed. Most of all, Kodak is looking for someone to love him for who he is—a big, soft teddy bear of a husky who will be your loyal best friend. Story
Meet Almond – Sunshine in Dog Form Almond is a 1-year-old yellow Shepherd-Husky mix who’s ready to trade her past for a fresh start—and maybe a yard full of squeaky toys. This sweet girl was rescued off death row in Downey, CA. She had almost given up hope when someone asked Red Waggin’ to give her a second chance. Now she’s safe in Washington, dreaming of her forever (or foster!) family. Almond is equal parts playful and people-loving. She greets new friends—human or canine—with joyful energy and a few excited barks. Once she’s had a chance to say hello, she settles in quickly and just wants to be part of the pack. She's done well with other dogs and would thrive in an active home where she gets attention, structure, and love. We’re still learning more about her every day, but she’s already showing us that she’s eager to please and full of potential. She’s one of those dogs who makes everyone smile—and you can tell she knows it. - Outgoing - Smart and eager to learn - Sweet with people and dogs - Needs an active, attentive home - Available for foster or adoption If Almond might be your next best friend, please visit redwagginrescue.org/adopt to fill out a foster or adoption application. What my friends at Seattle Humane say about me:* I take treats like a gentleman (kibble and jerky are my faves).* I`m a pretty easy walking buddy and can stroll on leash without tension.* I love to go on hikes/walk or play with tug toys.* Sniffing is my jam, but when my nose gets tired, I’m right by your side for treats and scritches.* I’ll thrive with a kind, patient family who can help me build confidence in new situations.*MY NEW FAMILY CAN NAME THEIR OWN ADOPTION FEE*

Story
Husky fans - check out Echo! And it's the perfect name for him, as in true Husky fashion, his song definitely echoes! Echo is about 5-years-old and looking for experienced adopters who can help set him up for success. He is full of spunk and will need plenty of daily exercise and play, as well as mental enrichment. He's super smart and can get overstimulated and frustrated if he's not tiring out his brain as well as his body. Echo is looking to be the only pet in his new home and is not a fit for an apartment or condo. He will greatly benefit from a securely fenced yard. Echo can be protective of his food and other valuable items, so he will likely do best with just adults, and those who have managed resource guarding before. If you're ready to welcome home this handsome Husky, make an adoption appointment to learn about Echo today!

Story
Elsa is a gorgeous Husky with a heart full of love and energy to match! This playful girl is incredibly smart, eager to please, and already crate and leash trained. She’s the perfect mix of spirited and obedient—ready to run, play, and then settle in for a car ride (which she loves). Elsa is very people-friendly and thrives on attention and companionship. With her outgoing personality and loyal nature, she’ll make a fantastic addition to an active home that appreciates the intelligence and enthusiasm Huskies bring. If you’re looking for a bright, affectionate, and fun-loving best friend, Elsa is your perfect match. Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2380668##
