Story
Apple Blossom came to PAWS as a stray, so her background is a mystery. She had a slow adjustment to the shelter and has been coming out of her shell more and more everyday (and is even doing well with her foster parents cat!). If you have Huskey experience and understand the struggle of having to start over, come have a heart to heart with Apple Blossom and help a new friendship bloom!

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Isn’t this boy ABSOLUTELY STUNNING?! Diego has waited quite a while for a foster or forever home! He is a 2-3-year-old Siberian Husky weighing about 55 pounds. He is a very happy and friendly boy who spends his days playing with other dogs in the play yard! Diego is your typical silly and active husky, needing a family that can keep him properly exercised. He is so loving, sweet, and intelligent! He has already learned some basic obedience from his time at the rescue. Diego enjoys time with his people and would make a great adventure buddy! He is good with other dogs but prefers females most of the time. Diego is also an awesome playmate! His preferred forever home would have another female dog around his size so they could tucker each other out. He could, however, be an only dog with continued doggie socialization and play dates. He is not tested with cats. Diego is on the waitlist to be neutered and will be neutered before adoption. He is UTD on shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.

Foster or forever home needed! Say hello to Mila! She is a three year old, 52lb, Siberian Husky who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. She is a gorgeous girl with an incredibly soft coat. She has a lot of energy and can be talkative as your typical husky is! Once she gets some energy out she is able to focus well. Mila would thrive in an active household that can take her running, hiking, or on long walks. Mila would do great with another active pup in the home to play with and be able to run and get energy out with! She needs a home with a fenced yard to run and play. Mila is UTD on vaccinations and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Kobe! He is a 7-month-old, 25lb, husky mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. He is sweet, playful, and a great running partner! He would do best in an active household that will take him hiking, running, on long walks, and any other high energy activities. He walks well on leash and could benefit from some basic obedience training. We recommend a household with dog savvy children as he is still mouthy. He is treat motivated, which is great for training purposes. Kobe requires a home that will continue his dog socialization as he is getting confidence around other dogs. He does have some leash reactivity to higher energy dogs, but seems to do well with small and submissive dogs. Kobe is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Freya This pretty lady is a sweet soul. She loves her people. She will definitely show you lots of love and attention. She loves kids and would make a great play partner. She is very dog and cat friendly. Although if your cat is runner or spooked easily, she will chase for a fun activity. Freya can jump high, so she requires a yard with a minimum of a 6 ft fence. She would do well with lots of room to roam and play. This chick is up for any adventure, as long as she gets to spend time with her people, her heart will be happy. She will be fully vetted, microchipped and is available to you via ground transport.

Story
Animal Profile: Rocco is an estimated 1-year-old 65 lb mixed breed who was rescued from SBC and arriving to Seattle area foster care on Sunday Feb 11th. At the shelter he was kenneled with other dogs, and assessed to be friendly with people and dogs. We will share more info on Rocco as we get to know him in foster care. Foster Updates: Rocco is a stunner! House training has gone great, and he knows to knock at the door to go outside. He's a confident dude, and while he's not leash reactive he'll bark back if another dog tries to give him the business. Rocco gets along well with the large female dog in the house, and is friendly with dogs outside the home. His leash manners are coming along and he walks great! Rocco does have prey drive, and would probably do best in a home without cats. He sleeps soundly through the night and prefers affection over food rewards in training. He'll make a wonderful companion in his forever home! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.   Apply online at  www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: Rocco was found as a stray in San Bernardino and rescued by Dog Gone Seattle, arriving to Seattle area foster care on 2/11. He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. May 12, 2024, 10:27 am

Story
Animal Profile: Marge is a 10-month-old, 54lb Husky that was running at large for weeks with her sister harassing a farmers calves in Satsop, Wa. They were at risk and one of our wonderful foster families stepped up to take them in and give them a chance. After completing their stray hold, no one came to claim them. Marge was spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and is now ready for adoption! Foster Update:  Marge is what we'd call a starter husky. She has been friendly with every pup and person she’s met. She'll play for days, and would do best in an active home and/or a home with northern breed experience. Marge has made great progress with her leash walking, but can still pull (shocking for a Husky, we know). Marge makes a great hiking buddy and would thrive as a running companion. Marge can be a talker, but she’s mostly quiet in her crate but still likes to sing the song of her people on occasion. Securely fenced yard and sense of humor required. Adoption Info: Marge's adoption fee is $550 which includes her spay, Rabies, 1st DPPV, Bordetella, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Marge was found wandering as a stray in Satsop, WA with no collar and no chip, and completed a 30 day stray hold. She is being fostered in the greater Seattle area (Oakville) and is now available for adoption.May 12, 2024, 10:27 am

Story
Hi!  My name is Sky!  Im a 1.5 year old Alaskan Malamute.  People say I'm active and a total sweetheart!  I love humans and would do anything to make them have a good time.  I am ok in my crate and can do walk very well with a lead leash.  I am housebroken.  I love to play w toys, but they have to be made for my breed.  (Strong) I have to say NO To Cats.  They are so interesting to me.  I chase them like I do squirrels. Apparently they are not ok w it and keep telling my humans.  So...pls no cats. We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier.  I've had all my required shots, have a microchip & neutered.  I'm ready to meet you.   Our application review takes about 10 days.  This adoption process will require 3 videos of (outside of your home, backyard, and inside of your home) since we are not able to conduct home checks at this time. We will be calling 2 references (Not related to you please). We will be contacting your veterinarian (We work with 1st time owners) to make sure you have vaccinated all your pets yearly, and that all have been spayed/neutered. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Colorado & Canada. We will book your baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received.  If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then go to https://www.petstablished.com/organization/920716    ##1613011##

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Hi, I'm Astro, a 8-year-old Chow/Lab mix. Don't let my serious face fool you, I'm a goofy sweet guy! I like to get to know my people slowly, but once I do I love your pets and scratches and I'll even sit in your lap! I'm very food motivated and guard my food and toys with growls and can be stubborn. I love to go for walks and walk well on a leash. I know lots of commands (sit, stay, up, down, lay down, shake, wait, let's go) and love performing for treats. I was recently in a foster home and here are some of my likes/dislikes that they shared about me… Like: food!, exercise/walks and agility, butt scratches, sleeping in my crate, chewing my toys, watching out the window, music, water, other dogs, comfy beds, getting baths Don't like: brushes, towels and loud trucks Astro would do best as the only dog in a house without kids or other small animals since he can be protective and is strong. He will need a family familiar with protection breeds like chows. Astro is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His fee is $200.
