Story
Haitchi is a stunning husky. For his big size he may seem scary but overall, he is just a big cuddle butt. He will somehow find a way to lay on you even if it’s cramped. He LOVES human attention & will do anything for it. Haitchi tends to do better with female dogs rather than male since he was neutered recently so he gets dominant with males. For a husky Haitchi is surprisingly not that loud & is pretty chill in the house. He does get very excited for walks & is an escape artist.Apply at Rescuegang.orgDATCP#483538

Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 2/26/2025 Dog Name: Sallie Mae Sex: Female Estimated Breed: Husky Mix Approximate Age: 2 years Approximate Weight: 50-60 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Spayed Description:Sallie Mae was in need of a hero and our Texas rescue partners did not want her to end up in a kill shelter. She is a sweet girl who does well with kids and loves other dogs. She would benefit from having a playful dog in the home who is confident that she can follow alongside as she settles in! Sallie Mae is looking for a home without cats. She is working on crate training and does well on a leash! She is so beautiful and has a coat made for Wisconsin living! She loves to be outside! Help Sallie Mae find her forever home!   Adoption Fee: $450We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. February 26, 2026, 1:11 pm

A committed home is required for him to make the trip, and we’re hopeful the right person is out there. Meet Chad Chad is a 1-year-old Siberian Husky who is ready for a fresh start. He came into the shelter as a stray and, sadly, no one came to reclaim him. Now he’s hoping someone will give him the second chance he deserves. Chad is a silly, goofy boy with a sweet and affectionate personality. He absolutely loves belly rubs and hugs and can be just a bit of a velcro dog — happiest when he’s close to his people. He’s very treat motivated, which makes him eager to learn and fun to work with. In new situations, Chad can be a little unsure and may do an adorable belly crawl while he builds confidence. Once he feels comfortable, his playful side shines. He enjoys playing with other dogs and tends to be more submissive during play, especially with his friend Karen. He would likely do well with another friendly dog. Cats and kids are currently unknown. Chad weighs 45 lbs, is heartworm negative, and is not yet neutered. He has decent leash manners and, like any young husky, will benefit from continued structure, exercise, and positive reinforcement training. Age: 1 year Gender: Male (not yet neutered) Weight: 45 lbs Breed: Siberian Husky Spayed/Neutered: No Potty Trained: Unsure Crate Trained: Unsure Leash Manners: Good Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: Unsure Chad is available for the 3/21/26 transport and is ready to keep moving forward. He would love a foster or adoptive home to help make that happen. If you’re able to foster or adopt, please apply today. www.muttlife.org __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up-to-date dewormer, vaccinations, heartworm prevention (age appropriate), and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption. __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**

For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ ADOPTION FEE SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE for Sheeba Meet Sheeba Sheeba is still looking for her forever home — and we truly aren’t sure why. She is everything you could want in a companion and is more than ready to find her perfect soft place to land. This super sweet senior girl made it safely to Wisconsin in December after being found as a “stray” in Georgia alongside her buddy, Scooby. Despite wearing matching collars and leashes, they heartbreakingly ended up in a shelter. Scooby has since been adopted, and now it’s Sheeba’s turn to find her happily-ever-after. Sheeba stayed behind in Georgia to complete heartworm treatment after testing positive at the shelter. She handled treatment like a champ and is now healthy, thriving, and ready for a home of her own. Sheeba is likely around 8–9 years old, and while she may be a senior, she has so much love left to give. She is wonderful with kids, great with other dogs, quiet and rarely barks, fully potty trained, and crate trained (though she does not need a kennel). She is easygoing and low maintenance. She walks nicely on a leash, does great at vet visits, and truly never meets a stranger. She is calm, gentle, and happiest simply being near her people. She doesn’t ask for much — just love, comfort, and a cozy place to call home. After a rough start and a long journey to get here, Sheeba deserves her second chance. She is a low-key, super sweet girl just waiting for someone to choose her.
