Meet Josie Ann, the little lady with big energy and an even bigger heart! This sweet 2-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix is ready to jump right into your life—and your lap! Mostly white with adorable tan markings on her face, she’s as cute as she is full of spunk and love. This friendly, outgoing girl greets everyone with tail wags and enthusiasm to spare. On walks, she’s easy to manage and loves to sniff and explore, always keeping an eye out for interesting critters like squirrels and birds. She’s excited to meet every dog and person along the way, and she never turns down a good play session with her favorite toys. Josie Ann takes treats gently and will “sit” with a bit of coaxing using a tasty treat. After an adventure, she loves nothing more than curling up in your lap for some cuddle time. Found as a stray in southwestern Virginia, Josie Ann is ready for her next chapter—one filled with love, laughter, and plenty of outdoor fun. Hi, my name is Sandy.  Some call me Super Sandy because I am such a great girl.  Others call me Sheriff Sandy, as I have made it my job to patrol the yard when I hear a noise.  We have a nice fenced-in yard with lots of room to run and a doggie door in the back door.  That makes it very easy for me to do my self-appointed job.     Only a few weeks ago, I was a homeless girl abandoned in a neighborhood behind a veterinary clinic.  This nice lady took me to the vet.  They agreed to help me and let me stay there.  After my photo session for my online post, the staff called Critter Cavalry.  Now I am the lucky one enjoying life in a wonderful foster home.  It is amazing how quickly things can change. When I am not on patrol, I enjoy time with my foster brothers and sisters.  We have lots of room to play outside and room inside to relax.  I am fitting right in.  Not long after I arrived, my foster mom came home with a little scruffy boy who was also abandoned.  We shared our stories and became fast friends.  He has been adopted.  Now it is my turn.   I would love an active family that spends time outdoors.  It would also be great if they had children and another dog for me to play with.  Since I do like to patrol, a fenced-in yard is a must.  I also tend to bark when I hear noises.  Because of that, apartment life is definitely not for me.  I ride well in the car and walk ok on a leash.  I could use a refresher course in that.  I am very smart and catch on quickly.   To learn more about me and to request an application, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  I am currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  January 13, 2026, 6:14 pm

Parks and Rec is a very sweet, snuggly pup who loves his sister and gets along well with other dogs and is respectful of cats. He is a bit of a low rider and is absolutely adorable!  He is learning to walk on leash but still a bit timid. Potty training is coming along as expected for a young puppy, learning to go outside with still some accidents. We will go into the crate for short periods  but are still hesitant/sad to spend evenings crated.  Adoption Day: January 24th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt.
