We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained. We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.

Story
Klinger, which means courageous, is a confident, intelligent boy that has endured the hard times that his humans fell on.  He was reluctantly  surrendered to rescue and he is a truly beloved boy.  This 2 year old, 27 pound Jack Russell mix boy is in a foster home with two big foster fur brothers and Klinger can run with the best of them. He’s housetrained, love car rides and walks and his foster dad is quite active to go on adventures with him.  This boy, Klinger loves an adventure.  He enjoys playing with his toys and is ALWAYS ready for playtime.  If you are looking for a couch potatoe then Klinger would qualify only on short term moments.  He is a great and active breed that makes a wonderful family dog that you will spend time with and actively seek the exercise time that he needs.   He would be a wonderful dog for a  young family, young couple or a  young single person that is a runner, an explorer and a dog owner that might even want to do some agility activities together.  Of course Klinger is neutered , UTD on all vaccinations, microchipped and on heartworm prevention.   They don’t come any cuter and any nicer than this boy.  If you are interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let’s start this ball rolling for his new home and family PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 4, 2024, 11:49 am

Story
Lucky Lionel is a most “LUCKY” dog since he was snatched out of the middle of a highway in rural Tennessee and avoided being run over by one of many cars and trucks.  His life was changed right there in the middle of the highway when a rescue angel loaded him in her car and carried him home to safety.  Noone ever came forward to claim this boy on social media and we are happy to offer this special 4-5 year old, 15 pound boy to a special Jack Russell loving family.  He is a boy that likes mature adult dogs and tolerates puppies.  He is good with the young child and fine with the cats at the foster home.  He basically ignores the cats and cuddles with the child. Lucky Lionel is the little guy that wants to be the center of attention.  He is pretty good on leash and is almost potty trained.  Rare when he has an accident. This boy is smart and adorable and loves to sit next to you or in your lap.  He is not needy for love but does ask for it. True to form he is a JRT who is an independent spirit but one that gives back over and over with fun and love.  If you are interested in this boy please know that he is best in a fenced yard and he could go for nice long walks with you daily to get off the energy.  Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 4, 2024, 11:49 am

Story
His name is 2Short and it fits him to a 'T'.  He was sadly a 'give up' due to the owners change of circumstances. It happens, but that's when A Forever Home Rescue steps in to help find him a forever home. He is not a very big guy, but don't let his size fool you - he can hang with bigger dogs like his foster brother Valentiono. See his video! 2Short is very good with other dogs and is awesome with the resident cats, often sleeping right next to them. He loves to run in the fenced yard and likes to carry around stuffed toys, and receive treats. He also like to be close with his foster and will fall asleep laying beside them on the sofa. He is good with people of all ages. If you are looking for a companion dog, be sure to see him at an adoption show. He may steal your heart. Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org March 4, 2024, 10:30 pm
