Story
Ready to board his flight to LAX 🇺🇸 Background: Ohoh’s life hasn’t been easy. As a tiny puppy, he was found wandering in an apartment complex in Wanju, Korea. He was sent to a city pound, where he spent the next five years chained in a poor shelter with little comfort or care. This summer, Ohoh finally came to us and has been living at our boarding house, where he is safe and loved while waiting for his forever family. Personality & Socialization: Ohoh is a gentle, sweet, and loyal boy with a calm, easygoing nature. He has medium energy, happy to go for walks and spend time with people, but also content to relax quietly by your side. He’s very friendly with people, both men and women, and loves being close to his humans. When it comes to other dogs, Ohoh gets along well with gentle, friendly, and well-mannered dogs, but he doesn’t like overly bossy, dominant, or hyper dogs. Behaviour: Ohoh is well-behaved, obedient, and very smart. He bonds strongly with people and follows their lead easily. He rides calmly in the car, tolerates bath time, and is cooperative at the vet. He walks nicely on a leash, enjoys outdoor potty breaks, and is quiet indoors. We’ve rarely heard him bark. With a little training, Ohoh will blossom into a wonderful lifelong companion. Health & Diet Ohoh is neutered, microchipped, and fully up to date on his vaccines. He is dewormed and on monthly parasite prevention. When first rescued, he was treated for anaplasmosis, and he has since made a full recovery. He’s in good health and ready for his forever home. Ohoh eats dry kibble twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home: Ohoh will thrive with a family looking for a calm, gentle, and loyal companion. He gets along well with other gentle, quiet, and well-mannered dogs, but he would be happiest as the only dog in a calm home. A quiet, relaxed lifestyle where he can soak up love and attention from his humans would be perfect for him. Ohoh is an easygoing and affectionate boy who simply wants to be by your side. Whoever adopts him will be very lucky. Become his forever family through link below: https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/ohoh/

Story
**Wandoo is currently in LA waiting for his forever family. Background Wandoo and his brother were rescued this spring from a city pound in Milyang, Korea as part of our Save 100 Dogs campaign. They lived with other dogs at our boarding house. In November, Wandoo was adopted by a loving family in LA. Sadly, his adopter developed a severe dog allergy, so through no fault of his own, Wandoo had to be relocated. The last few weeks have been hard for him. He traveled across the world, was separated from his brother and friends, and then had to move homes again. Currently, Wandoo is living in a foster home in LA while he waits for his forever home. Personality and Socialization Wandoo is a gentle and sweet boy with a very loving heart. He has a medium energy level and gets along beautifully with other dogs. He would be happiest in a home with another friendly dog to play with and cuddle beside. At his current foster home, he spends long hours alone, and it has been a lot for his sensitive heart. Because of this, he can seem cautious and nervous at first. When he meets new people, he is curious but shy. He likes to take a little time to feel safe. Once he trusts you, his true personality shines through and he becomes affectionate, playful, and very loving. Behaviour Wandoo is a smart and friendly boy. He can feel a little nervous during car rides, bath time, or grooming, but he stays patient and allows his people to care for him. He is learning to walk on leash. When he sees his harness, he sometimes runs to his crate and hides, but eventually allows it to be put on. Once outside, he enjoys his walks. Sometimes he gets curious and wants to stop and explore, but overall he follows his person well. He loves toys, especially squeaky ones, and is happiest when he feels safe and loved. He has been left alone for long hours in an apartment and has been quiet. If needed, he has used puppy pads, but lately he prefers going potty outside. He may bark briefly at unfamiliar noises or when someone walks by the apartment, but he settles quickly. Even though he is quiet and independent, he is lonely and needs companionship, both human and canine. Health and Diet Wandoo is in good health. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and receives monthly parasite prevention. He eats dry kibble and has no known allergies or special dietary needs. Ideal Home Wandoo is a sweet, smart, and loyal boy who is still adjusting to a new country and many changes. He needs a patient and confident family, preferably with dog experience, who can help him feel safe and understood. We would prefer a family who does not leave their dog alone for long hours. Although Wandoo has been incredibly well behaved and has caused no trouble when left alone, this little boy is likely feeling lonely. We dream of a home where his family can be around him often, helping him build confidence, and trust. Wandoo does not need perfection. He just needs someone to give him a chance, and in return he will give you his whole heart. ----------------------- For more info about Wandoo or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/wandoo/

Story
**Note: Currently, Sandy is in Korea, but will fly to LA upon adoption. Background Sandy was rescued early this summer after living a lonely and neglected life. She had been chained outside a small restaurant near our partner shelter in a rural town. The elderly restaurant owner said she “fed” Sandy once a week: just leftover scraps that were barely edible. When our shelter manager saw her, she couldn’t walk away. After several visits and gentle persuasion, the owner finally agreed to surrender Sandy to us. Since then, Sandy has been living safely at our partner boarding house with other rescue dogs, where she’s been learning what love and care truly mean. Personality & Socialization Sandy is a gentle, sweet, and loving girl. She can be a little shy at first, but it doesn’t take her long to open up. Once she feels safe, she becomes very affectionate and enjoys being close to people. She’s friendly with both men and women and loves spending time with her humans. Sandy also gets along well with other dogs, both big and small, as long as they are friendly and kind. She especially enjoys the company of gentle, playful dogs and fits in beautifully in a calm, social group. Behaviours Sandy has a medium energy level and a calm, balanced temperament. She’s easygoing, mature, and adaptable to new environments. She walks well on leash, as if she’s been trained before, and enjoys her outings quietly by your side. She’s well-behaved during baths, car rides, and vet visits, and has shown no signs of separation anxiety or destructive behavior. Sandy is intelligent, obedient, and loyal. Truly a joy to care for. Health & Diet When rescued, Sandy tested positive for heartworms, sadly, not a surprise given her past living conditions. She received full treatment and has now completely recovered. Sandy is healthy and ready for her forever home. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and on regular flea and tick prevention. She eats dry kibble twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home Sandy would do well in many kinds of homes. She’d be happy as an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention, or as a second dog alongside a gentle, friendly companion. Her easygoing nature makes her a wonderful match for someone looking for a calm, affectionate, and loyal companion. After all she’s been through, Sandy deserves a home where she will finally be loved and cherished. Whoever adopts her will be truly lucky. ------------------------- For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/sandy/

** ** Note: Currently, Youja is in Korea, but she will fly to LA once she’s adopted. Background Youja was rescued from a city pound in Changwon, Korea last spring. Since then, she has been living safely at our partner boarding house, where she’s been learning to trust and enjoy life again. Personality & Socialization Youja is a gentle, loving, and bright girl. She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, her affectionate side shines through. She enjoys spending time with people and other dogs but also values her quiet time. She’s friendly without being clingy. She’s great with both men and women and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, big or small. Youja enjoys playing with her furry friends but is also respectful if they want space. She has a lovely balance, social and sweet, yet chill and independent. Behaviours Youja is easy-going and well-mannered. She doesn’t love baths, but she allows her human to handle it patiently. She’s calm at the vet and good in the car. She’s still learning to walk confidently on leash and can be a little nervous in new places, but she follows her person’s lead and adjusts quickly. She’s quiet, well-behaved, and has a calm energy for her age. Health & Diet Youja is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She’s dewormed and receives monthly parasite prevention. She eats dry food twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home Youja would do best in a calm, loving home. Perhaps with another gentle and friendly dog to keep her company. She’ll be a wonderful fit for someone looking for a second dog or anyone who enjoys a peaceful lifestyle and wants a sweet, loving companion. With a little patience and time to settle in, Youja will blossom into a loyal and loving family member. ------------------------------ For more info about the dog, or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/youja/

Story
This guy is an attention grabber for sure- those ears! The marble eyes! The smile! Honey is a one of a kind pup. Honey started out by taking his time to explore and examine the space. He`s an independent spirit- he doesn`t feel the need to make friends the very first second. He seems to still be figuring out toys and his zoomies are adorably contained. He`s the kind of guy who will enjoying being next to you, but not feel the need to be glued to you. He`s really smart, very sweet, incredibly individual, impressively smart, a little silly and very gorgeous. He`ll definitely need some training reinforcement and patience to adapt to a new home, but he`s worth every ounce of effort. He`ll take time to know you before becoming your buddy. If you think you are the right kind of human for this super unique pup- head into#burbankanimalshelter and meet him for yourself.
