Story
This is Mocha. Mocha is a beautiful chocolate flatcoat Labradoodle. She is 3 years old and does best with other dogs of the same size or dogs that actually like to play. She loves all people and children and is very loving. She enjoys laying on the couch, watching out the window, and getting head and belly rubs. Mocha is potty trained and doesn't have any food aggression or severe behavioral issues. She does however have a paper obsession, so any important papers are advised to be properly put away and out of her sight. Example, I lost about a roll of 50 stamps to the paper monster known as Mocha. Other than paper, she will not destroy anything else. I am not sure about her temperament with cats as we don't have any. Mocha does shed and requires brushing about once a week to maintain. She does know multiple commands (sit, paw, eat, stay, lay) and returns using her name. Mocha is a good girl and deserves a good home.

PLEASE COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION FIRST. WE DO NOT RESPOND TO ONLINE INQUIRIES - ONLY ADOPTION APPLICANTS. Meet Peggy! Peggy is a sweet and sensitive girl with a huge heart who is always ready for what’s next. Whether it’s taking a long cozy nap with you or going on a leash walking adventure! Peggy can take a little time to come out of her shell at first but once she does she will fall head over paws for you. When in new situations she may need some direction from you to show her the way but is very eager to please and gains so much confidence through each obstacle she faces. She thrives with some exercise such as walks during the day but doesn’t require heavy amounts of work. She also enjoys learning new skills like waiting before coming out of doorways, the place command, sit, down, stay, and more! She loves a good brain work out! She is very motivated by affection and eager to connect with you, but isn’t too food motivated. She is well mannered around human food, has some experience being around cats, and is currently working on healthy dog socialization in the Mirror Image K9 Day Camp program. She is happy with sleeping in her crate at night and feels safest in there when people are not around or she’s feeling overwhelmed. Continued crate training is a must! Peggy would do best in a family who loves to go on walks or hikes, is able to provide her with direction in times of uncertainty, is willing to work towards building trust in confidence in Peggy, and has just as big a heart as she does!

Jordan was given to me about 1 1/2 ago from a family friend. He is playful, loves to run, and loves treats. I would love for him to be able to run in a backyard or a dog park on a consistent basis. Unfortunately, my job and school load has become too demanding for me to have time for him. He loves people and love to be rubbed.

Story
I'm reaching out to ask for a favor. I have a sweet and friendly one-year-old labradoodle and shepherd mix named Cappy who is looking for a new home. He's potty-trained and great with kids, and has a wonderfully sweet and attentive disposition. The only issue we're having is that he keeps exhibiting mating behaviors towards our smaller male dog. He's very submissive and non-aggressive, but we think he may do better as the only dog in the home, or with a different dog. We're happy to help with a trial/foster situation if you're interested in taking him in for a couple of days to see how he behaves in another home. We just want to find him a loving and caring home where he can be his best self. Thank you for considering this. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you're interested in meeting Cappy. The $75 dollars is to cover half of the neutering costs but we are mostly interested in finding him a great home and will waive that fee if needed. Best regards

These pups are in Cumming, Georgia too!

Story
Loki may look familiar to some. He was adopted just 1 year ago and has found his way back to us. However, him being returned was no fault of his own. His dad is having hip surgery and Loki is a very active strong guy. He needs a family that will work on his manors and keep him active. His previous owner did not keep up with his training and he acts like an unruly teenager at times, so someone that can make sure he keeps up on his training is crucial. He may be 8 years old, but at heart he is still 4. https://labradorfriends.com/loki23/ Loki sits patiently waiting for his forever family. He knows they’re out there somewhere! He was returned 2 times for no good reason! First, his family of almost 7 years was moving and didn’t take home with. Then, he was adopted for just a year before his dad could no longer care for him due to a hip surgery. Loki is confused why he can’t ever leave his doggie daycare and go home. He loves every person he meets and loves his doggie friends at daycare. He knows his commands and manors but needs some brushing up. He likes to see how high he can jump to kiss you, but his doggie daycare is working on that with him! He is very trainable and just wants love. Interested in fostering or adopting sweet Loki?

Story
Hops Meet Hops This adorable guy is appropriately named, as he loves to hop around and play. His ears are also quite bouncy when he gets going! Hops just came in with his brother Ale. Hops has the lighter face in pictures. They are both about 4 months old and will be big boys when full grown. Hops is currently 40lbs and Ale is 37lbs. Both boys are very sweet and seem to be your typical curious puppies. Hops is the more outgoing of the two, and both seem a bit unsure with new situations, but they seem to learn quickly. They both will need some obedience training and some time to understand walking on a leash. They just came in to the rescue so we are working on getting them into foster homes to learn more about their personalities. Stay tuned for updates! Foster Update: Ale and Hops enjoyed meeting several visitors and the other pups at our adoption event today. These sweet playful boys are hoping to meet their forever families soon. FOSTER UPDATE 2/15/23: Mr Hops is doing great. He is sweet, loving, and playful. I truly believe he is happy. He still looks thin, but he has gained 16 pounds since he has been with Lab Friends. Hops has a lot of energy and enjoys running around the backyard. He enjoys playing with Yogi and Mistletoe. Sometimes they have a three way bout worthy of WWF. Hops would really enjoy an active family. He has a ton of love to give and he deserves to be loved in return for the rest of his days. Story
Foster update: We have had Bart several months now and he has been a sponge learning new things. Bart has learned commands like sit, stay, release, go potty and we are working on others. Bart is an active 8 month old who loves to play outside and fetch. He will fetch all day if you let him. Bart is potty trained and has been doing great with free roam in the house while we are not home. Bart is a typical older puppy and can get a little mouthy when excited or if food is involved, but he responds quickly to correction. He gets along great with other dogs and cats. This love bug loves to get in your lap and cuddle. Bart is a really smart dog and picks up on new things really fast. Bart would do best with an active family who likes to take their pup for runs, hikes, long walks and would enjoy tagging along to social activities like hanging out at a brewery, restaurant, etc. Bart just wants to be with you any time he can. We have had Bart for almost 2 weeks and he has been great thus far. He is a handsome boy with precious ears and tons of personality. Bart absolutely loves to play, which is expected being 4.5 months old. He runs around the house with his favorite toys in his mouth, just squeaking away and it is too cute. He loves playing with balls, sunbathing in the yard, and hanging out with his foster fur siblings. We tried to get him in a kiddie pool over Memorial Day Weekend, but he wasn’t totally sure about it. We’ll give it another try though! Bart has only had a couple accidents in the house, both of which were when he first got here, so we’d say he is basically potty trained. He has learned how to “sit” and will do just about anything for a treat. We work from home so Bart has full range of the house while we work. He does well entertaining himself with toys and chews in between the occasional nap. Bart sleeps in a crate in our bedroom at night without a peep and when morning rolls around he is ready to go. He is also an excellent couch cuddle buddy, just FYI. If interested in adopting, please click link below for more info. https://labradorfriends.com/how-to-adopt/
