Story
This is Mocha. Mocha is a beautiful chocolate flatcoat Labradoodle. She is 3 years old and does best with other dogs of the same size or dogs that actually like to play. She loves all people and children and is very loving. She enjoys laying on the couch, watching out the window, and getting head and belly rubs. Mocha is potty trained and doesn't have any food aggression or severe behavioral issues. She does however have a paper obsession, so any important papers are advised to be properly put away and out of her sight. Example, I lost about a roll of 50 stamps to the paper monster known as Mocha. Other than paper, she will not destroy anything else. I am not sure about her temperament with cats as we don't have any. Mocha does shed and requires brushing about once a week to maintain. She does know multiple commands (sit, paw, eat, stay, lay) and returns using her name. Mocha is a good girl and deserves a good home.

Story
We took Heidi on as a foster for a breeder that went out of business. The idea was to raise her until early adulthood, which he has officially reached. We are looking for a good home for her. She is about 9-10 months old now, and weighs 35 pounds. We do not expect she will get much larger than 45 pounds at most. She loves being a lap dog and enjoys belly rubs, but also is playful and engages and plays fetch whenever you can. She is great with other dogs. She is a little timid when walking on a leash - she stays right next to you and does not pull on the leash (which I think is great). She is house trained. She has not been fixed yet - we will leave that up to the person adopting (we will pay to have this done if that is the desire of the new owner). She is a purebred, but since the breeder is out of business they did not pay to have her registered.

Blue is a precious labradoodle very playful and so smart. He gets along with other dogs, playful with cats, and loves people. He can fetch, walk on a leash, sit, and shake. I just can’t manage two large dogs with my schedule.

Jordan was given to me about 1 1/2 ago from a family friend. He is playful, loves to run, and loves treats. I would love for him to be able to run in a backyard or a dog park on a consistent basis. Unfortunately, my job and school load has become too demanding for me to have time for him. He loves people and love to be rubbed.

PLEASE COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION FIRST. WE DO NOT RESPOND TO ONLINE INQUIRIES - ONLY ADOPTION APPLICANTS. Meet Peggy! Peggy is a sweet and sensitive girl with a huge heart who is always ready for what’s next. Whether it’s taking a long cozy nap with you or going on a leash walking adventure! Peggy can take a little time to come out of her shell at first but once she does she will fall head over paws for you. When in new situations she may need some direction from you to show her the way but is very eager to please and gains so much confidence through each obstacle she faces. She thrives with some exercise such as walks during the day but doesn’t require heavy amounts of work. She also enjoys learning new skills like waiting before coming out of doorways, the place command, sit, down, stay, and more! She loves a good brain work out! She is very motivated by affection and eager to connect with you, but isn’t too food motivated. She is well mannered around human food, has some experience being around cats, and is currently working on healthy dog socialization in the Mirror Image K9 Day Camp program. She is happy with sleeping in her crate at night and feels safest in there when people are not around or she’s feeling overwhelmed. Continued crate training is a must! Peggy would do best in a family who loves to go on walks or hikes, is able to provide her with direction in times of uncertainty, is willing to work towards building trust in confidence in Peggy, and has just as big a heart as she does!

Story
This handsome, furry doggo is Hugo! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 4/12, and no one has come to reclaim him. Hugo is so very sweet and loving, but he's also quite timid. The shelter environment probably has something to do with his shyness, but he'll need an understanding and kind person to help him break out of his shell and learn to trust. We're thinking he's been lost and out on his own for a while due to his coat being matted. He'll feel better once he's had a good grooming! Hugo knows how to sit nicely when asked; he may know more commands. If you have a soft spot for the large, shy dogs please come meet Hugo! Hugo is approximately 4 years old, and he weighs 87 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he will be neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Hugo is waiting in run 84; his ID # is 656866. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The shelter prefers people to make an apt., go to - https://nqa3.nemoqappointment.com/Booking/Booking/Index/as65fg9dr953 and select Adoption. Or you can just stop by during business hours. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip. When you book an apt., it does not reserve a particular pet for you.

Story
I'm reaching out to ask for a favor. I have a sweet and friendly one-year-old labradoodle and shepherd mix named Cappy who is looking for a new home. He's potty-trained and great with kids, and has a wonderfully sweet and attentive disposition. The only issue we're having is that he keeps exhibiting mating behaviors towards our smaller male dog. He's very submissive and non-aggressive, but we think he may do better as the only dog in the home, or with a different dog. We're happy to help with a trial/foster situation if you're interested in taking him in for a couple of days to see how he behaves in another home. We just want to find him a loving and caring home where he can be his best self. Thank you for considering this. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you're interested in meeting Cappy. The $75 dollars is to cover half of the neutering costs but we are mostly interested in finding him a great home and will waive that fee if needed. Best regards

Hello, It is with heavy hearts that we are rehoming Gyn due to some personal medical issues. She is a beautiful 4 month old puppy who loves being outside and playing. She is great with kids (we have a 3 yr old) and is great with other dogs. Gyn is a super sweet puppy who loves doing puppy things. She is partially potty trained and is crate trained. If adopted you can have the crate, her treats, her toys, and her towel (her comfort item). Please consider adding this amazing young pupper to your family! Please feel free to message me with any questions!

Story
I have had Jake since May of 2019, He is 4 years old. I bought him from a fellow church member. He is crate trained and house trained. He loves to play fetch with his ball and loves his toys and bones. Super sweet and will stay by your side wherever you go. He is a lab and if he gets bored he will chew, but he doesn't chew a lot. I have never lost a pair of shoes due to him chewing them. The only down side to Jake...he really needs some lessons in manners. He gets really excited around people he doesn't know or when people come over to the house. He just wants their attention and he doesn't realize how big he is. He is definitely a mama's boy. I am recently divorced and am having to work so much more than I used to. He needs someone who can take the time with him. I just don't have it. His crate, bed and toys will go with him, along with any food or treats he has. We are in Winder/Auburn area. We are not in Sugar Hill.
