Story
🍀 Lucky 🍀 is one of those dogs that makes you feel better, just having him around the house or by your side. Your heart is lighter, you smile more, and you find yourself looking on the bright side of things. He is an 8-year-old blind Labrador Retriever mix weighing about 60 lbs. He’s so smart, and his blindness really doesn’t affect him that much, as you’ll see when you read more about him. 🍀 Lucky 🍀 is mellow and just goes with the flow. Especially when the flow includes pets and cuddles for him, which he accepts graciously, without being pushy about it. He absolutely adores kids and is super friendly and gentle with everyone he meets. He’s a smart boy and knows commands like sit, lay down and shake. He is a really good boy around the house and doesn’t get into stuff that isn’t his. He can be left alone while his people are busy or away, and he sleeps all night in bed with people, in his dog bed or on the couch. His goofy side emerges when there might be food or treats available. Those are a couple of his favorite things, and he gets all excited at meal time or when his people get near where the treats are kept. He loves all toys, especially ones he can play tug with. He also likes to play “go find.” 🍀 Lucky 🍀 enjoys walks and does all right on the leash. Mostly, though, he’s lower energy and just wants to snuggle with you while you pet him. He gets along with other dogs, and bigger dogs are preferable to small ones. Because of his eyesight, Lucky should have a fenced yard. He’d do great with a dog sibling to show him the ropes. He can do stairs just fine, but ideally he’s in a home that doesn’t have an excessive amount of stairs. If you adopt 🍀 Lucky 🍀, YOU are going to be the lucky one(s)! He’s truly a gem and so easy to love. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. His adoption fee is $175. Apply to adopt him at PawsitiveTailsKC.org, and meet him once you’re approved! 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

Story
Aside from their wonderful temperament, there are so many other reasons to adopt a Black Labrador Retriever, and here are the top five... 5. They are easy to find in a snowstorm 4. Black and white photography is so much fun 3. You never know if they have been rolling in mud 2. Makes a game of hide and seek in the dark, oh so challenging! And the number 1 reason to adopt a Black Labrador Retriever *drum roll* 1. With their stunning, shiny black coat, they go with everything! But seriously, Callaway is true to her breed. She loves everyone. When she meets you, it will feel like you are the most loved person on earth. After all the loves and kisses, she settles down nicely with a bone or to nibble on a stuffed toy. She is a young gal, around 1 year old, and weighs 45 pounds. We believe Callaway is a mix of another breed but retains all the wonderful, fun qualities of the beloved lab. Miss Callaway is house-trained and crate-trained. She loves nothing more than to sack out on the couch after some playtime. Hiking or walking on trails is her dream pastime. So much wildlife and nature to sniff. Hold on tight to that leash; if she sees a squirrel, she understands a lab’s assignment to catch and retrieve. Got a pond, creek, or pool she can swim in? Those webbed feet aren’t just for looks; they have a very specific purpose! Callaway would love an active home with plenty of opportunities to sniff, play, and be the young pup she is. Her story had a “phew!” beginning. She was very pregnant and found herself on the euthanasia list. Minutes before her time, we said NOT TODAY and grabbed her. Shortly after, she gave birth to seven beautiful little babies. Now that her babies are finding their forever homes, she is ready to start looking for one of her own. She has been around dogs and seems fine with them. Callaway will come home spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $175. Find your way to PawsitiveTailsKC.org to fill out an application. Once approved, you will be contacted to schedule a meet-and-greet. Oh, yeah, we forgot one more thing from the list… She will love you forever, and you will wonder how you ever lived without her. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
Meet Trixie!🐾Trixie is a wonderful girl who just graduated from the Blue Ribbon Program through a foster partnership with the women's correctional facility! You go, girl! If your ideal Saturday involves a morning jog followed by a spirited game of fetch, Trixie is your girl. This 3-year-old Lab/Husky/Shepherd/Terrier mix is a 10/10 on the personality scale. She's a "go-getter" who has been learning new things in our HHHS training classes and a favorite among our volunteer runners.Trixie has a fun, athletic playstyle - she loves a good game of "chase and be chased" with a side of wrestling. While she's a social butterfly, she's realized that the "big pack" life isn't for her (5 roommates was a crowd!), and she prefers having her own space to recharge with her humans. The Trixie Checklist:Kids: She's been around them and gets very excited to meet new friends! We encourage potential adopters to bring any small kiddos to meet her.Dogs: She enjoys playmates who match her high energy, but loves her "human breaks" too. Please bring any resident dogs for a meet and greet!Small Pets: Trixie has a bit of a prey drive, so she will need a home without cats or tiny pups.Hobbies: Jogging, toys, and showing off her training skills!Thank you Calhoun's Jewelers for sponsoring a portion of Trixie's adoption fee! Primary Color: Black W/white Weight: 43.3 Age: 4yrs 0mths 2wks
