Story
We’re having to rehome our sweet Bernard because we had a baby 6 months ago, and he’s been stressed out ever since. Since we’re both back at work full-time, it’s been incredibly hard to give him the attention and time he deserves. He is 6 years old (this February 23rd) and he LOVES people and (most) other dogs. I’m not sure how he is around cats. He is very anxious around babies, as we have discovered. We can provide food, his bed & blanket, & toys (mostly bones/hard chew toys, as he will destroy and try to eat most anything fabric) to help make the transition easier, as well as some various bath & care things. He is a HUGE sweetie pie, and loves to run (probably a fenced in area would be ideal to let him off leash). He also loves treats & stealing your socks.

Story
I got Kona when she was a puppy and has been a great dog her whole life. She is 10 years old now but loves kids and loves to play fetch still even in her older years for a lab. We are having to find her a new home because we found out our daughter who is 19 months old is very allergic to dogs and cats. She has always been and inside dog but loves the outdoors and being around water.

Story
Luca is about 4 years old and a Labrador-retriever pit mix. He is a wonderful dog with lots of love, but needs more attention than we are able to give him. He is a high-energy dog that needs daily walks and a yard to be able to run in. He loves playing catch and being pet/ snuggled. He is extremely nice and we have never had any behavior issues with him. He will chew things so we have chosen to keep him kenneled at night and when we are away at work. He has a lot of energy and plays well with our current baby other dogs. He thrives in big fields/ yards and with other dogs to associate with. The reason are rehoming is because we have another baby on the way and he just needs more attention than we can give him. We love him dearly but he deserves a better life and more attention than we can give him. We just want a positive, safe and loving home for him. He would be free of charge.

Story
Lucky is one of those dogs that makes you feel better, just having him around the house or by your side. Your heart is lighter, you smile more, and you find yourself looking on the bright side of things. He is a 6-year-old blind Labrador Retriever mix weighing about 60 lbs. He’s so smart, and his blindness really doesn’t affect him that much, as you’ll see when you read more about him. Lucky is mellow and just goes with the flow. Especially when the flow includes pets and cuddles for him, which he accepts graciously, without being pushy about it. He absolutely adores kids and is super friendly and gentle with everyone he meets. He’s a smart boy and knows commands like sit, lay down and shake. He is a really good boy around the house and doesn’t get into stuff that isn’t his. He can be left alone while his people are busy or away, and he sleeps all night in bed with people, in his dog bed or on the couch. His goofy side emerges when there might be food or treats available. Those are a couple of his favorite things, and he gets all excited at meal time or when his people get near where the treats are kept. He loves all toys, especially ones he can play tug with. He also likes to play “go find.” Lucky enjoys walks and does all right on the leash. Mostly, though, he’s lower energy and just wants to snuggle with you while you pet him. He gets along with other dogs, and bigger dogs are preferable to small ones. Because of his eyesight, Lucky should have a fenced yard. He’d do great with a dog sibling to show him the ropes. He can do stairs just fine, but ideally he’s in a home that doesn’t have an excessive amount of stairs. If you adopt Lucky, YOU are going to be the lucky one(s)! He’s truly a gem and so easy to love. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. His adoption fee is $175. Apply to adopt him at PawsitiveTailsKC.org, and meet him once you’re approved! 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
🐱 🐈 🐱 Cat Friendly 🐱 🐈 🐱 Hi! My name is Cake. I think they named me Cake because they just knew I was gonna be one sweet boy! My foster parents sometimes call me Cakey and sometimes monster...but only when I gallop around the house in search of toys to play with! I'm all house-trained and crate-trained! I've learned some commands, such as "sit" and "down". I'm a smart boy. I have two foster siblings. I love to play with them. They are teaching me all about being a good boy and how to be a good family member! Sometimes I get really excited, I can hardly stand it! But once I get pets and kisses, I melt right away into a ball of cuddles. If you like to have your Cake and snuggle it too, then this guy is for you. His adoption fee is $175 and includes neutering, microchipping, age-appropriate vaccines, and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. To meet him, apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
These days, we need to consider who belongs in our pod, our inner circle, our chosen family. We can be friendly to everyone, but only a certain few really deserve that bestie distinction, you know? Rudie likes to take a little time to decide if you are her peeps. She looks for reassurance and she checks if you have some patience (and some treats, she’s definitely checking for treats!) for you to welcome each other into the truest fam. Once you’re connected, you’ll have a bond with all the feels and all the warm fuzzies you could possibly want. The rewards are infinite of having a front-row seat to seeing a dog discover that their humans are the absolute best! You’ll get to see her try new things and gain confidence, and there is nothing better. Rudie is a 5-year-old, 50-lb. Labrador Retriever mix who wants soooo badly to be your BFF. And she’ll get there, with a little time and space. She has started new experiences with her foster people, by learning to walk on a leash. Now, she’s found the joys of stop ‘n’ sniffs throughout the neighborhood. Who knew that’s so much fun?! She sits on command, and she loves a good chew toy. She treats her favorite stuffie toys so gently. Life is grand! She’s really quite a couch potato, though sometimes she erupts with zoomies after her person has been gone and comes home. Silly girl. Rudie doesn’t like any loud or sudden noises, so that’s when she looks to her chosen people to keep things even keel for her. She’ll need to live in a calmer home with adults or with kids who are tweens to teens and older, and who’ll give her the space to bloom where she’s planted, thriving best as the one-and-only pup in the household. She is house trained, spayed, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $175. To meet her, pack your patience and your treats, and apply to adopt her at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤
