Meet Lola 🖤🐾 Lola is a one-year-old Lab mix with a big personality, a bigger heart, and energy for days. At around 55–60 pounds, she’s still very much a playful puppy who is learning the ropes—and she’s looking for an active home ready to help her grow into her best self. Lola is incredibly affectionate and people-loving. She thrives on attention and connection, and at the end of the day, her favorite place is curled up next to her person enjoying some well-earned snuggles. She’s also very smart and highly treat-motivated, making her a great candidate for continued training. She loves learning and is eager to please. She already has a great foundation: 🐾 Crate trained 🐾 Potty trained 🐾 Walks well on a leash (though she may get excited and pull at first!) Lola can also be dog friendly with the right match and a thoughtful introduction! Her ideal canine companion would be another active, playful dog who enjoys puppy-style play and has plenty of energy to burn. 🐾 Meet Hank Ray Hank Ray is a gentle giant with a soft heart, excellent manners, and a pretty convincing argument for the joys of adopting a grown-up dog. 🤎 At 8 years old, this handsome chocolate Lab mix was surrendered through no fault of his own. Now in foster care, Hank is showing everyone what a sweet, easygoing, low-maintenance companion he can be. Hank loves being around people, although he can still be a little timid at times. Give him a chance to get comfortable, and you'll discover a sweet boy who genuinely enjoys affection and happily soaks up pets from his people. Want an easy way to Hank's heart? Treats certainly don't hurt. 😄 Hank is very food-motivated and has even perfected the art of catching treats right out of the air. Despite his enthusiasm for snacks, he takes treats remarkably gently from people. Hank currently lives peacefully with six other dogs in his foster home, so we know he can absolutely enjoy canine company. But he's also a guy who appreciates the right match. His previous family reported that Hank did well with small dogs, puppies, and female dogs, but relationships with medium-to-large male dogs could be more complicated. He could become overly interested and didn't always respond well to corrections from larger males. A compatible female, smaller dog, or easygoing canine companion may be his best match, with a proper introduction helping everyone make sure the chemistry is right. There's one other important rule among Hank's canine roommates: nobody messes with his dinner. Hank does well sharing his home with other dogs as long as they respect his food, so meals and other high-value food items should be kept separate from other pets. And we now have some good news about cats! While Hank's previous experience with cats was unknown, his foster has observed him around them and reports that he shows no reaction. That's an encouraging sign that Hank could potentially share his home with feline friends. Hank has also previously lived with a young child and was described as exceptionally patient, respectful, and gentle. His former family had wonderful things to say about his temperament, and everything we're learning in foster care continues to show what a sweet guy he is. Hank's leash skills have apparently come a long way, too. His previous family reported that he could be a strong puller, but his current foster describes him as a gentleman on walks who doesn't pull. Way to go, Hank! 🐾 He's also crate trained and accustomed to settling quietly when his people are away. Hank doesn't need to turn every moment into an event. He's much more interested in enjoying a comfortable life with people he loves. Give Hank affection, comfortable places to relax, leisurely walks, compatible animal friends, and—very importantly—a steady supply of treats, and this sweet boy is pretty content. 🐾 Meet Charlie Charlie is a handsome 6-year-old black Lab who is officially ready to find his forever family—and this exceptionally sweet boy has quite the résumé. 🖤 At around 80 pounds, Charlie is a big guy with an equally big heart. He loves just about everyone he meets and is happiest when he gets to be close to his people. His absolute favorite place? Snuggled up beside you or resting his head in your lap. Charlie is also a devoted stuffed-animal enthusiast. He’ll often greet you at the door carrying one of his favorite toys, complete with an adorable “wiggle butt” walk to let you know just how happy he is to see you. Rocky is a gentle soul who starts his morning with some stretches, downward dog yoga poses, and meditation (aka naps in the sun). He's a big chap at about 80 pounds, but don't worry, at just about five years old, Rocky won't be growing more! We recently learned that Rocky loooooooves to swim! Like, really loves it and could possibly be a water sports dog, too. He dives for the ball and really commits by putting his head and body under the water! This pooch has heart *and* skills, we're happy to report. He's also super cute -- bonus! You couldn't ask for a better pooch than this guy. He's intelligent, affectionate, loving, house-trained, and doesn’t chew on anything (except for toys and Benebone wishbones). Do you have a dog in need of a canine companion? Fantastic! Rocky adores the dogs in his foster home. He carefully picks out toys to share with them, and then they enjoy a good game of chase in the yard. He would also do great as the only pooch in his home if he gets plenty of attention from the humans. Rocky is not so much a cat guy, though. Rocky already knows sit, stay, come, touch, and shake. He loves earning treats by doing these tricks and could be easily trained to learn even more. Rocky takes treats so, so gently from your hand, too. (He's such a good boy!) Some of Rocky's favorite things are getting pets, riding in the car, being outdoors, playing with toys, and going on walks. While Rocky loves cuddling in bed with his humans, he patiently waits to be invited up, because he's polite like that. What Rocky would love to do most of all, though, is find his forever home. He spent eight of those years in a shelter, outside in a kennel shared with other dog friends, always being the one left behind when his roomies went off to their forever homes.
