Story
Bo Jackson is a very good dog and I wish I didn’t have to sell him but I have come to busy to give him the life he deserves and feel to bad leaving him in his kennel all day. He is recently potty trained and hasn’t had an accident inside for a couple weeks now. I adopted him from Lawrence humane society and have all of his information in a folder. He hardly ever barks unless left in his kennel for to long. I have a kennel and dog bowls for him aswell

🐈🐱 Cat-friendly 🐱🐈 Romeo 100% earned his name – he is an absolute lover boy! 💘 🏹 He wants nothing more than to be with his people 💖. And he sure makes for great company 💗. Perhaps you didn’t realize that you were a tad lonely when you went to switch the laundry to the dryer. Or when you went to grab the package off the porch. Or when you were doing the dishes. Romeo will gladly accompany you for all of those jobs and more. 👼 💌 He’ll make all the routine things 🧹🧽 happier and cuter, with his paws clicking along on the floor next to you and his tail wagging while you work. At 4 months old, he already sits nicely on command; he’s good on the leash, and he’s house-trained and crate-trained. Oh Romeo, we’re all falling for you 💝. He likes to play ball and is into stuffie toys. He absolutely loves other dogs too and gets along with the cat. Seriously, everyone is his friend! 🥹 He is a handsome tri-color dude who we think is a Labrador Retriever mix. He’ll probably be somewhere in the neighborhood of 60-70 lbs., full of love. He sleeps all night in his crate, though he’d be just as happy to snuggle in bed with his person(s). 🛌 If you don’t melt a little looking at his sweet face, you sure will after a Romeo cuddle session. Romeo is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. He’ll come to you current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives, and his adoption fee is $275. Open your arms for a hug when you get to meet him – he’ll love it! Your meet & greet will be scheduled with his foster once you’re approved to adopt. 🐕 Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🐕

Story
🐱 Cat-friendly 🐱 Long live all the ✨ magic ✨ this puppy is about to bring into your life! As the final puppy of the Taylor's Version Litter, Long Live is ready for his happily ever after... and we can't really believe he's still available. When we asked his foster family to describe his personality, they said: "He's all sunshine and rainbows." 🌞🌈 At 3 months old and 16 pounds, Long Live is a Black Labrador Retriever mix who is expected to grow into a 31-55 pound adult. He has the sweetest, dopiest personality, loves everyone he meets 🫶, and is gentle without being timid. Maybe it's those adorable short little legs, but somehow he manages to look completely innocent even when you're telling him he's been naughty. 😂 After a few minutes of playtime, he'll dramatically plop down like he just headlined The Eras Tour. His favorite things include squeaky toys, crinkly toys... and food. 🥓 As a hungry, growing puppy, Long Live firmly believes breakfast, snacks, and dinner deserve equal enthusiasm (who could disagree?). He's working on house training and has already started sitting by the door 🚪 when he needs to go outside. Smart boy! 👏 He knows "sit," is getting closer with "no," and sleeps soundly in his kennel each night. Because he loves being around people, he'd do best with a family that's home more often than not and willing to keep building his confidence when he's kenneled alone. Despite being a puppy, Long Live has low-to-medium energy. A fenced yard or daily walks and playtime will keep him happy. He gets along great with other dogs, is cat-friendly (playfully chases them with no desire to harm them), has done well around chickens, and would likely do great with kids of all ages thanks to his gentle, loving nature. We have a feeling Long Live is the kind of dog you'll be telling stories about for years to come. 📖✨ His adoption fee is $275 and includes his neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters. 🐕 Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🐕

Story
🍮 Meet Pudding! Professional Heart-Stealer, Treat Hunter & Girl on the Go! 🐾🛞 Pudding may do life a little differently, but as far as she’s concerned, she can do anything the other dogs can do! Pudding is a sweet, silly, determined girl with cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a neurological condition that affects her balance and coordination. She cannot walk independently, but with her wheels, she’s learning to get around and gaining confidence every day. When the wheels come off, she’s perfectly happy rolling, playing and napping in her soft-sided pen. This girl has come SO far! She’s learned to maneuver her wheelchair, drink independently from her water dispenser, eat from her raised feeding station, play with toys and hunt down treats. Pudding LOVES people. She adores being held, cuddled and included in whatever is going on. She’s curious about other dogs and definitely wants to be part of the action. And treats? She takes those VERY seriously. 😂 Because of her CH, Pudding will always need some extra care. She’ll need help with things other dogs can do independently, a safe environment for her tumbles, and humans willing to help with her wheels and daily routine. But Pudding doesn’t know she’s “different.” She wakes up ready to play, explore, snuggle and find a little trouble. She isn’t looking for someone to feel sorry for her. She’s looking for someone to see HER. ❤️ The goofy puppy. The determined little fighter. The treat-obsessed explorer. The professional snuggler. The girl who just happens to have wheels. 🛞💕 We expect Pudding to be a nice medium size, 45-60 pounds or so. Her adoption fee is $275 and includes her neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccines, and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Meet and Greets will be scheduled with Approved Adopters. Story
Rescue dogs who aren’t little puppies 👶 often get overlooked. And black dogs ⚫️ tend to be scrolled past, ⬇️ no matter what. So, here we have Callaway, a 1-year-old Black Labrador Retriever mix. The overlookers and scroll-passeders already aren’t reading anymore, 🤷 but that means you get to learn all about the girl that they’re missing out on! She weighs about 45 pounds, so she’s smaller than she looks in a lot of her pics. Her personality is a lot like many people we know: she’s looking for fun times and stuff to do! 📅 🏃‍♂️‍➡️🛍️ Once she celebrates the good times, she wants some downtime to recharge for next time. Know what we mean? 🛋️🛌 Callaway is friendly with people and good with kids. Any household would be lucky to have someone who loves every single person the same. Because she’s a 1-year-old girl instead of a puppy, we fully know her personality. She is very smart and picks up on things quickly, so she’ll get your routines down and start anticipating what comes next. She already has basic training for things like sit, come, kennel and inside, plus leash walking (that training is another advantage to being young enough but not a tiny baby). She enjoys a daily walk and some play time in the yard, and she likes her toys. When she’s done with activities, she wants to lounge with her people. As often as not, she falls asleep laying on them. She also LOVES her stuffie toys and treats them like they are her babies, instead of tearing them up. Callaway gets along with other dogs, after a slow introduction. We don’t know how she is with cats, because she hasn’t met one yet. She is house- and crate-trained and, just so you know, she can jump a fence that’s shorter than 6 feet. Bringing home a girl like Callaway will fill your heart 💓 just as much as a young puppy 💝🐾 She’s young enough to bond with and become your lifetime family member, but she already has blossomed into her Callaway self and learned a lot. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Her adoption fee is $175. Meet this girl and you’ll enjoy every minute of her once you’re approved to adopt. 🐕Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org🐕

Story
Meet Junie (aka JJ / June) ❤️ Big floppy ears, long legs, and so much love. Junie is a goofy, springy, sometimes derpy girl. She loves to run and gets the happiest zoomies when she has space to stretch her legs. She LOVES to play fetch and tug. She also loves to snuggle and is fully convinced she’s a lap dog. She can be very timid with new people—more so men—and tends to be fearful in unfamiliar environments. She may bark reactively when she feels scared or overstimulated, but this is fear-based. Though she has a big bark, she has never shown aggression. She needs patience, slow introductions, and time to feel safe.  JJ is especially fearful of large dogs and can become very anxious around them. Once she feels comfortable, she is incredibly sweet, affectionate, smart, and playful. She is very food motivated and loves treats. She also absolutely loves kids and has been gentle and loving with ours. Things that help her: • Slow introductions • Calm voices / energy • Time to decompress • Space to RUN • Fetch / tug time • Treats Things to know: • She will bark when she’s nervous • She startles easily • She can be a total baby • She’s goofy, loving, and full of personality once she feels safe
