Story
Meet Saylor, aka Saylor Sunshine! Saylor is a sweet, playful 8-month-old yellow Lab mix who radiates happiness and love once she comes out of her shell. She has a history of being malnourished, so she’s a little timid at first—but with patience, trust, and love, she blossoms into a joyful, affectionate companion. Saylor is a “dog’s dog” and would thrive with a playful canine sibling to show her how wonderful life can be in a loving home. She also gets along with cats and is gentle with children, though she would do best with older kids due to her sensitivity to sudden movements and loud noises. This sweet girl loves cuddles on the couch, playing with toys, and lounging in the sun. She’s currently learning potty and puppy manners, and she has a fear of cars, so a home with a fenced yard for safe play is ideal. Saylor is ready to bond deeply with someone willing to give her patience, guidance, and unconditional love. She’s a light in the dark and deserves a forever family to love and protect her—could that be you? If you are interested in meeting Saylor, please fill out an application via our website at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRP/Dog and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com. Saylor's adoption fee is $200 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, spay, microchip, deworm, and HW testing.

Pet Location:Wayside’s Canine Behavior Center – I`d love to show off all the cool things I’ve learned at Wayside! Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days to meet me! My Friends at Wayside say:- I am enrolled in Peace Academy. This is a program for dogs to learn advanced skills to manage their energy. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - I`m a lovable goofy boy who loves all kinds of toys! - During my time at Wayside, I have enjoyed being around other dogs. - I was born in a shelter and have not yet lived in a home, so I will need patient adopters who are prepared to help me learn how to live in a home! - I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are:- I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that we can be buddies. - I need a home with kids 10 years old and older who will enjoy my enthusiasm for life! - A fenced yard is a must for me! I need a secure area to run around and release my energy. - It`s recommended I go to an active home. For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. I’m a 1-year-old Lab with a big heart, a goofy personality, and lots of puppy energy to share. I had a pretty rough start to life but I haven’t let that get in my way of living a happy life. I was born in a shelter and haven’t yet had the chance to live in a real home. Because of that, patient adopters who understand that I’m still learning and are excited to help me grow are very important to me… Could you help me become the best version of myself? I’m a fun, higher-energy guy who loves to stay busy! Toys are one of my absolute favorite things, and I’m especially good at tossing them around and entertaining myself. I also really enjoy being around other dogs and would love opportunities to keep building my social skills with canine friends. With that in mind, I would prefer to meet any new doggie friends before going home, just to be sure we will make the best of friends! While I’ve been at Wayside, I’ve made huge strides thanks to a training program called Peace Academy, which helps dogs learn how to manage their

Hi there! I am a lovable little puppy! Even though I am cute as a button I will take some work as I adjust into my new home. Don`t get me wrong, we will have a lot of fun in the meantime but I will need time to understand what`s expected of me. I will need help on all those fun puppy things like house training and basic obedience. I want to learn everything I possibly can. I am pretty excited about life and doing new things! My goal is to be your lifelong companion and I should learn quickly with praise, treats and little patience. I`d really love for us to get enrolled in training classes, after all school is the best way to get us both educated on what it takes to raise a puppy! It will be fun to watch me as I`m learning, after all puppies can be pretty silly. If you`re ready to take on all the fun and companionship then look no further!

Story
Elfie 4 months old | 15 lbs as of 12/19 Black Lab / Belgian Malinois mix (best guess) Elfie is a bright, curious puppy who is already showing what a great companion she can grow into. She is friendly with kids and enjoys the company of other dogs, making her a nice fit for a social household. Cats are currently unknown. Based on what we’ve been told and what we’re seeing, Elfie appears to be a Labrador Retriever / Belgian Malinois–type mix. This combination often produces dogs that are smart, athletic, and people-oriented. Elfie is expected to mature into a medium to large adult dog, likely in the 50–65 lb range. Elfie is still very much a puppy and will benefit from continued training, structure, and regular exercise as she grows. Dogs with this type of working-breed mix tend to thrive with adopters who enjoy being involved — walks, playtime, learning new skills, and daily interaction. In return, they are often incredibly loyal, attentive companions. Elfie would do best in a home ready to continue basic training, provide consistency, and help her channel her energy in positive ways. With guidance and engagement, she has all the makings of a fun, devoted, and well-rounded adult dog. If you’re looking for a smart young pup to grow and learn with, Elfie may be a wonderful match. All of our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee for all dogs/pups: $225. Our dogs are in foster homes across the KC metro. We do not have a shelter facility. Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog
