Story
Hi! My name is Bogie, short for Humphrey Bogart and I have a beautiful sleek black coat which makes me very handsome. I'm almost 6 months old and a neutered male Labrador mix. I'm mostly potty trained, though I do mess up occasionally. My foster fur friend Bonnie and I love to play tug of war with my squeaky frog and tag. I can be active at times or quiet. I do sleep in my kennel all night and when my foster Mom leaves. When I need to go potty, I will let you know by circling or going to the door. I learned to sit for Mom before I get my food (I can get very excited at meal time). It also took me a while to know I have my bowl but I learned I don't worry about getting enough food anymore. I'm looking for my furever home. Can you please help me find it? All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Adoption fee: $225 for all dogs and puppies. Apply to adopt: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Story
Meet Cyrus! 🐾 This black lab mix is a beefy little baby with a heart as big as his paws — and the cuddles to match! Cyrus is an excellent snuggler and smart as a whip. In just a few days, he’s already picking up on potty training and mastering “sit” like a champ. While his feisty sister Cora dives headfirst into adventure, Cyrus is more of a thoughtful guy. He’s just a bit more timid — he likes to stop and assess new things before jumping in. But don’t be fooled — once he’s ready, he’s an explorer at heart and loves to play. Cyrus listens well, adores his people, and is highly food motivated — making him a dream to train. His favorite hobbies include snuggling close, handing out slobbery kisses, and winning over everyone he meets with his gentle, affectionate nature. If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly, and clever companion who will shower you with kisses and be your best friend, Cyrus might just be your perfect match. 💕 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. An approved application is required before we can schedule a meet & greet. Once approved, we’ll work with you to ensure it’s a great fit—and if it’s not, no worries! We’ll help you find the right match. All of our dogs are adoption-ready and come: •️ Spayed or neutered •️ Heartworm tested •️ Dewormed •️ Up-to-date on prevention medications •️ Up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines •️ Microchipped •️ With a coupon for a free Simply Dub collar from Dubdog Designs

Story
Meet Bruce Willis – not the action star, but just as charming (and way better at cuddles). This Lab/Border Collie mix is a total gem. Bruce is sweet, easygoing, playful, and incredibly gentle with kids. He’s the kind of dog who just gets it — no accidents in the house, no chewing on toys that aren’t his, and no drama. He loves other dogs and plays great with his foster sisters, though he may be a little too curious about very tiny dogs (he’s suspicious they might be cats in disguise). Bruce is crate-trained, goes in willingly at bedtime, and doesn’t bark or cry. He doesn’t jump fences, comes when called, and is happy to lounge or snuggle once he’s had his backyard time. His absolute favorite thing? Chasing squirrels and birds out of the yard — a task he takes very seriously (your personal backyard security guard). He’s a quick learner and eager to please. In just a few days, he mastered “sit and stay” at the door with no treats required — just praise. He pulls a little on leash at first, but his foster hasn’t walked him regularly since he has access to a fenced yard. That said, he’s so people-oriented he’s unlikely to run if the leash slips. Bruce is quiet, affectionate without being clingy, and adjusts beautifully to home life — especially one that offers a little companionship. He’s done well with children but may get overstimulated by playground activity (he’d love for everyone to just stop moving so he can herd them into place). He’s highly redirectable, has no food aggression, and is crate-comfortable — but a long day alone in a crate might not be ideal for him long-term. Bruce’s dream home would include a fenced yard, a playful dog buddy, and people who are home often — whether retired, work-from-home, or just able to spend more of their time with him. He’s the easiest foster his current family has ever had, and they’d keep him in a heartbeat if they could. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-maintenance companion with a big heart and a playful streak, Bruce Willis is your guy. Bruce is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know him in your home before finalizing the adoption. It’s a great way to ensure the perfect fit! ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt.
