Story
Excellent family dogMeet Sadie – Proof That Age Is Just a Number  Sadie may have a little gray on her muzzle, but don’t let that fool you—this 10-year-young, 60-lb girl still has the heart and energy of a pup half her age! She loves to run, play, and be part of the action, making her a wonderful match for an active family. One of Sadie’s greatest talents? Snuggling. When playtime is over, she’s more than happy to curl up next to you and soak up all the love. She’s also a dream house guest: fully house-trained, crate-trained, and trustworthy enough to be left alone uncrated—no destruction, no drama. Sadie adores kids and adults and gets along well with other dogs (though she’d do best without tiny dogs—she’s a little too enthusiastic and might accidentally step on them!). Sadie at a Glance: Age: 10 years Weight: 60 lbs Temperament: Fantastic with kids, adults, and most dogs Training: House-trained, crate-trained, knows basic commands Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion who’s past the puppy chaos but still full of life, Sadie could be your perfect match! Questions? Email amy@doggieharmony.org *** To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.doggieharmony.org/forms) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.March 7, 2026, 5:36 pm

Story
Please contact Marta (ultramarta@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Hazel – 2 years old | ~50 lbs Hazel is a resilient, gentle girl who has blossomed after a very difficult start in life. Now safe and thriving, she’s ready for a forever home where she can continue to grow at her own pace and feel deeply secure with her people. Quick facts: 2 years old, ~50 lbs Spayed, microchipped Housebroken & crate trained Up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative Good with dogs (can live with a compatible dog or as an only dog) Good with kids Not good with cats Hazel is medium-energy and enjoys daily walks, backyard play, and then settling in close to her humans. She’s leash-trained, food-motivated, and knows basics like sit, wait, and “get in.” She sleeps quietly through the night in her crate and is generally calm and well-mannered at home. She can be shy with new people and needs a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she’s affectionate, loyal, and happiest just being near you—whether you’re working, relaxing, or watching TV. A fenced yard would be a bonus for her zoomies and ball-chasing, but she can also do well with regular walks and routine activity. Hazel thrives most of all with patient, loving people who let her move at her own pace. To learn more, please contact Marta at ultramarta@gmail.com To ensure the best match for pets and adopters, we ask that you complete an Adoption Application at www.doggieharmony.org (click “Forms”). Once approved, we’ll arrange a home visit with the pet. As a donation-funded rescue, an adoption fee is requested to help cover basic veterinary care.June 7, 2026, 10:32 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Tommy is a 2 1/2 year old 43 lb. Labrador mix. He is considered one of our project dogs because he is very fearful. He is timid around men but will warm up with a bit of time and patience.  Tommy is currently in a board-and-train program to build the confidence he needs to navigate the world around him. He has had a rough start, and we hope that with the help of a loving, patient foster home, when he returns, he will finally find the peace and love he deserves.  Tommy is affectionate and sweet with those he knows and loves - a home as an only dog  is preferred so he can have no distractions. We will provide a trainer to work with the foster family.  Would you be willing to give this special boy a chance?   If interested, please fill out an application at njshpeterescue.org - must be located within 60 minutes of Chester, NJ Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 8, 2026, 12:23 am

Story
Meet Humphrey & Oswald! These two adorable brothers recently made the trip from Alabama and are officially ready to start searching for their forever families. At just 3 months old, they’re full of personality, puppy curiosity, and endless love to give. Their breed mix is anyone’s guess — maybe shepherd, hound, or even a little catahoula — but one thing is certain: they are going to be stunning medium-to-large dogs when fully grown. Humphrey has a gorgeous darker coat that gives him a striking, almost Malinois-like look. He’s playful, affectionate, and loves being close to his people. Oswald, with his blonde coat and adorable freckles, is impossible not to fall in love with. He’s goofy, social, and always ready for fun. Together, these boys are the perfect mix of sweet, adventurous, and lovable. Both pups absolutely adore people and happily follow their humans everywhere. They recently attended an adoption event where they soaked up all the attention and loved meeting new friends. In their foster home, they spend their days wrestling with the bigger dogs, zooming around the yard, carrying toys proudly through the house, and trying to convince the resident cats to join their games. Like all puppies, Humphrey and Oswald will need families committed to helping them grow into the best dogs they can be. They are still learning all the important puppy basics including housebreaking, crate training, obedience, and socialization. With patience, consistency, and love, these boys are going to make incredible companions. They are microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and will be ready to go home starting 5/16. Apply today to give Humphrey or Oswald the forever family they’ve been waiting for! ❤️ http://www.coldnosewarmheart.org/dog-application.html @cnwhnj @coldnosewarmheartnj
