Story
Meet Gelato 🍦 We adopted Gelato when he was just 8 weeks old from a local rescue, and he turned 3 in August 2025. He is a handsome, strong, and playful dog who loves to run, play, and make friends with other dogs. He’s protective and can be a little nervous at first, but once he warms up, he’s incredibly sweet. He thrives in an environment where he gets a lot of attention, and feels part of the family. His ideal new family would continue to train and socialize him, and give him plenty of exercise. He would do especially well with someone that already has a dog, or who enjoys being outdoors and can give him consistent exercise on hikes or walks. Gelato is a wonderful dog with so much love to give ❤️ P.S. Adoption fee is not to make money, but to ensure the adopter is serious. This fee will be donated to the animal shelter 🐶

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Meet Tanaka – 90 pounds of love and wiggles! Tanaka is the total package: house-trained, dog-friendly, and a champion cuddler who thinks couches and beds were invented just for her. At just 2 years old, she’s still got her playful puppy spirit, which means she’ll thrive best with sturdy, older kids who can keep up with her goofy zoomies and big, happy energy. She is allllll the things: - Loves cuddles + belly rubs - Recently spayed + UTD on all vaccines - Good with children + friendly with other dogs (unsure about cats) - Food motivated + treat trained - Pack instincts - Emotional Support Animal, great at distinguishing emotions She’s a smart girl who already knows some basics and just needs a little polish on her leash skills—nothing a few treats and walks with her new family won’t fix. Spayed, fully vetted, and heartworm negative, Tanaka is ready to bring her giant-sized snuggles into her forever home.  Age: 2 years Weight: 90 lbs Temperament: Gets along with sturdy older kids, other dogs Training: Housetrained, needs leash training but has some basic training Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative Email for questions: rottsnpupsrescue@fastmail.fm To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Story
Please contact Marta (ultramarta@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Hazel's journey to find her forever home has been one of resilience and love. This beautiful girl had a tragic start when, at just a few weeks old, she and her siblings became part of a court case in which their owners were charged with severe abuse and neglect. In April 2023, Hazel and two of her siblings came into my care as foster babies. Since then, she has blossomed in a happy and safe environment, surrounded by her brother and sister. Hazel is 2 years old, weighs approximately 50 pounds and has been spayed. She is up to date on all vaccinations and is heartworm negative. She is crate trained & housebroken.  Hazel is an obedient girl and she knows basic commands such as Sit, Wait, Treat, Walk and Get In. She sleeps 8 hours a night in her crate and never makes a peep. She plays well with her canine siblings and other dogs she knows.  She has medium energy, walks well on a leash and loves to take walks around the neighborhood. Hazel loves people that she knows, but she needs time to warm up to new people. She is a timid girl and likes to take things slowly. She is food motivated which makes her easier to train. She loves to chase squirrels, so a watchful eye is needed. She has never been tested with cats. She would love a fenced backyard because she loves to run and play with the ball. If she runs in the yard for 10-15 mins then she’ll curl up and sleep.  If she doesn’t have a yard, she would do fine with a couple 1.5-2 mile walks per day with additional pee breaks throughout the day. Hazel would thrive as an only dog or with a compatible canine companion.  Her main need is for loving people.  She loves to sit close to you while you’re working or watching TV. Hazel has shown incredible strength despite her difficult beginnings. She deserves a forever home where she can continue to thrive and bring joy and love to a new person or family.July 11, 2025, 4:36 pm

Story
She’s great in the house! If the family isn’t home she would need to be crated so the better scenario would be someone who doesn’t work away from the home very long. She doesn’t like to be alone. The last home was an elderly lady who was always there. She’s the sweetest girl you could ask for! Age: 5 years Weight: 48 lbs Temperament: Gets along with other dogs, and  kids, even small kids Training: Housetrained,  crate-trained, knows commands Sit and Stay Vetting: spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative Email for questions:     loramyers51@yahoo.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.
