Winnie is a sweet grey old lady looking for a loving home to spend her golden years. Winnie spent her life as a stray living in the deep south of Texas wandering around on a ranch caring for her own, and other orphaned puppies. She had her own litter of about 4-5 puppies, but was seen nursing and caring for other neighborhood stray puppies through the years. Winnie spent her life caring for others and now its her time to be cared for. Although she is about 10-11 years old, Winnie still loves to chase squirrels and other small animals, so no cats or furry critter companions. Winnie does well with big dogs, but would do best as the only pet where she gets spoiled with all the love and attention. Winnie would also benefit from a yard where she can stretch her legs and lay in the sun. If you are looking for your new companion - whether its going for strolls, sitting outside or binge watching Netflix, Winnie is your soul-mate. Stewie's story is a sad one.. We found him tied to a pole outside of the shelter, with a bag of food next to him and an old injury to his front leg. After multiple diagnostics, it seems that Stewie seems to have an old nerve injury that prevents him from fully using his front leg properly- but! he is not in pain. He gets around just fine and is happy as can be playing in the yards! At first, Stewie is pretty weary of new people, but since being with us, he has warmed up to staff and shows his wonderful puppy-like personality! It is estimated that Stewie is around a 4-5 year old black Labrador. We got a call the there was a dog running loose for almost two weeks with no luck on getting her, but one of our officers was able to get her and now here she is, meet Aquamarine! Aqua is around 2 years old, and a Retriever mix. She came in very thin, and we are currently trying to get her weight up and we are happy to report she has a great appetite! Aquamarine is pretty nervous here, and loud sounds tend to startle her. She is slowly coming out of her shell, and walks well on leash. Willie Needs A Savior!! This 3 year old pup was adopted out at 11 months old to an older woman with dementia and other health issues. She never let her family into her home, so we have no idea what happened to Willie over the past 2 years. His owner is now in the hospital and the family cannot keep him. He is currently in boarding, waiting for someone to give him a second chance. Willie needs someone experienced and patient to help him transition into a new home. We do not know much about his past, but he does not like when you stand over him or too much in his space. We believe that he needs time to build trust, and he will adjust well. He would do best in an adult only home. He seems to be fine aorund other dogs, but has not been officially dog tested. Overall, Willie is very sweet, affectionate and looks for love. He has no resource guarding with food and will take treats gently from your hand and bring the ball back when you throw it. This poor boy needs a chance. If The family can not afford to keep boarding him at Petco past next week. Willie needs a holiday miracle!!

As per her current foster mom, She loves to hang in the garden, lay in the sun, and nap at your feet. She’s not clingy and does not require cuddling, as she is quite the independent woman. She has no issues with separation anxiety and would be okay with a human who worked outside the home. Cats unknown at this time, but she can be cat tested if need be. She would do best in a peaceful home-maybe with another senior like her, or a mature adult singleton/couple. No children under 15 due to her size/lack of exposure and some visual impairment.
