Name: Cinnamon Age: 3 years Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Lab Jindo Mix Color: Cream Weight: 16kg Height: 49cm (shoulder)   Rescue Story: Cinnamon was found wandering around a village and was taken to a city shelter. She was rescued in early December and is now waiting for her forever home   ‍‍ With People   Cinnamon is very friendly and affectionate. She happily approaches both familiar and new people, rubs against them, and enjoys being touched. She loves both men and women and does well with children under 13.   She can be picked up by placing an arm under her belly, and she often shows her belly even to people she just met — she’s truly a sweetheart who loves attention and affection   With Other Dogs   Cinnamon is very social and loves meeting new dog friends. She enjoys playing and interacting with other dogs and is especially friendly with dogs of similar size. She also plays well with smaller dogs, but because she keeps the same energy level, some smaller dogs may find her a bit overwhelming.   She does well even with high-energy dogs and will communicate if she needs space. Since she enjoys both dogs and people, she would do well in a home with another friendly dog or as the only dog in the home   With Cats   Her reaction to cats has not been observed yet, but cat testing is possible.   Energy Level   Moderate energy. Cinnamon enjoys relaxing, but when she’s at the playground or playing with friends, she becomes active and playful.   Walking   Cinnamon does not have much walking experience yet, so she will need a bit more practice walking calmly with her person. When she feels scared, she may lower her body or look unsure, but she loves sniffing and exploring, so she is expected to improve quickly with gentle guidance.   Other Notes   Cinnamon does not guard food with people or other dogs, but she does have a good appetite, so feeding separately at first is recommended. She does not have separation anxiety, but she doesn’t enjoy being confined, so crate training and separation training may require some adjustment time in the beginning. Story
Say hello to Dahlia! She's a very sweet 1 year old Yellow Lab mix who is fully grown at 47 pounds which makes her the perfect medium sized pup. She's just joined our Rescue family but it's obvious that at one time that she must have had a good family because she's very well behaved and polite. She's living in a lovely foster home and they share that she's a very happy girl with a really sweet temperament. You can see her big smile in her photos! She's smart and has fun energy (not crazy puppy energy) and she gets along with adults and children. She also loves to play with other dogs but we haven't tested her with cats yet. Dahlia would be a wonderful member of a loving family and would do great as a solo pup or have doggie siblings. We think she'd thrive in a suburban neighborhood and would love a fenced in yard so she could play to her heart's delight. She's healthy, spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations. Story
Sammy is a beautiful and regal Lab mix who is 4-5 years old and weighs approximately 70 pounds. Long Road Home rescued this sweet boy when he was lost and brought to a shelter. He was obviously owned by someone who loved him because he's a sweetheart. He's the smartest dog we have in our group and he's also a super fun boy who absolutely loves other dogs. He's living with a wonderful Foster family and loves going on adventures with them. His favorite store is Petco and he loves to sit and watch the world go by. He's such a good and obedient guy and is nice and calm. He's dreaming of being rescued by a great adopter who has a fenced in yard and another dog for him to play with. A doggie sibling isn't necessary and even a neighbor's dog would be great because he just loves to play. He gets along great with everyone he meets and acts like a 2 year old pup. He's been medically vetted and is neutered and up to date on all his vaccines so he's ready to fly. This great pup is Knight and he's a very sweet Black Lab mix who 3-4 years old and fully grown at 50 pounds. He's perfect for folks who love the Lab breed but prefer a medium sized pup. He gets along great with everyone he meets and just wants to be loved and part of the family. He loves playing with dogs of all sizes and isn't the ringleader or reactive to other dogs at all. He's also very respectful with other dogs....one of his pals is a dog who needs a wheelchair and you can't believe how much fun they have together! When he's on his walks, he pays no attention to other dogs he sees which is so nice. He loves to go swimming and exploring hiking trails so count him in for any adventure! He's very smart and knows lots of commands (sit, shake, down, stay). He's such a good boy and wants to please you and gives the best kisses. He's also a snuggler who likes to watch a good TV show too! He's totally housebroken, crate trained and so well behaved. He'd love doggie sibling and a fenced in yard so he can play to his hearts content. He's such a great pup and deserves a wonderful and loving home. This handsome young pup is Shadow and he's such a very sweet Lab mix who is a year old and fully grown at 47 pounds. He has so many of the great Labby qualities and he's on the smaller side for the breed which makes him easy for folks who love the Labs but prefer a smaller size. Shadow is a very sweet boy with a happy go lucky perspective on life. He has a playful and charming way about him and gets along great with everyone he meets...both adults and kiddos. He's also great with other dogs and not reactive at all. We have a great video we can send to you where you'll see how cool Shadow was when he met a much big German Shepherd during his Vet check up visit. Story
Say hello to BEAU, a very sweet and beautiful Lab puppy! He's just about 8 months old and weighs approximately 38 pounds so he'll likely be 50-55 pounds when he's fully grown. He's a great pup and has an interesting story. Our Vet rescued Beau and fostered him for a short time. He wanted to adopt Beau but his very senior cat didn't like Beau's puppy energy so we've moved Beau to another great Foster home. We'll be getting more photos of him soon but in the meantime, we have these great notes from our Vet: "Beau is a very sweet and puppy and loves to play with other dogs. He's still 'puppyish' and loves to chew his toys and peanut butter filled Kongs. He very friendly with all the dogs at the dog park and likes cats although he's still learning he can't play with them :). We've taken him for walks in a public park and he did well..pulls less on leash each time we've taken him. He rarely barks and is learning lots of commands: Sit, Off, Fetch (with his ball and mostly brings it back). He's a great pup who is both house-trained & crate trained!" Beau is great with everyone he meets & we think he'd thrive with a family who is active and will continue his training with structure and love so that he blossoms from his puppy traits to a perfect family member.
