Story
Pongo / Neutered Male / 6 Months / Lab mix? / Dogs: Yes / Cats: Yes / Kids: 13+ / Location: East Garafraxa Meet Pongo (again!) This handsome boy was adopted earlier this year but sadly returned just a month later. Pongo is a truly special pup who needs an equally special home to match. At just 6 months old and 45 lbs, Pongo is full of energy, smarts, and heart. While we were told he might be a Border Collie/Lab mix, we aren’t entirely sure, what we do know is that he won’t get too much bigger and that he’s 100% adorable. Pongo can be nervous in new situations or around unfamiliar people, but he’s been working so hard to overcome this. He even spent several weeks with our friends at stylek9dogtraining, where he learned amazing skills that will set him up for success. His future family will continue his journey with a few follow up classes, already covered in his adoption fee, because consistency is key for this sensitive boy. What makes Pongo amazing: Walks beautifully on leash, calmly and politely (even sitting at stops!) Crate trained & fully housebroken Snuggle king who always wants to be near his people Playful, smart, and food motivated, he learns fast! Loves doggy friends, is good with cats, and would thrive with or without another dog in the home Because of his nervous nature, Pongo would do best with older, dog savvy kids. A yard to run, play, and chase squirrels would be a dream for him. To help him settle in, Pongo will even come with his special “place bed” included in his adoption fee, we want to give him every chance to succeed. Pongo is sweet, loving, and so ready for a family who will understand his past and nurture his bright future. Could that be you? https://forms.gle/gMSrMCVFqQ3fb5gN8

Story
Blaze is an 8–12 month old Labrador mix bursting with energy, personality, and endless love to give. This goofy, tail-wagging guy wants nothing more than to be by your side. He already knows sit and down, but sometimes his excitement takes the wheel — he’s still a puppy at heart! With consistent training, patience, and plenty of positive reinforcement, Blaze will blossom into the polite, confident companion he’s destined to be. This sweet boy may sometimes show submissive urination when greeting new friends — totally normal for young, eager pups — and it should improve as he feels more secure. He absolutely loves other dogs, though he tends to introduce himself like a kid running full speed into recess. With slow, supervised meet-and-greets, he could thrive with a canine buddy. Blaze is currently fostering with a well matched resident dog in his foster home and they are great buddies! Blaze is a very enthusiastic eater and came to us a little grabby with food, so he’ll need an owner to continue to help him build good habits. Hand-feeding sessions, working for his meals, and offering lots of trades will help him learn impulse control and grow his confidence. He has had great success in his foster with no issues so he is well on his way! In his new home, feeding time should be structured to prevent any resource-guarding before it starts — setting him up for success from day one as his foster has already been doing. His love of food also makes him highly trainable! He is food motivated and is so happy to learn new skills with reward positive based methods. Blaze is active, smart, and always ready for a challenge. He’ll shine with daily mental and physical outlets — think enrichment toys, brain games, training sessions, and outdoor adventures galore. If you have the energy, patience, and commitment to guide this bright young pup, Blaze could be your perfect adventure partner. Give him structure, love, and fun, and he’ll give you his whole heart in return. Story
Rocky is a lovable boy who lives in the moment. He is a goofy but challenging pup who pushes every limit he can! He will need a firm, patient owner who will set boundaries and consistently stand by them. He is looking for a forever home that has some experience with the food motivated lab and stubborn mastiff. He is a powerful puller on leash and does best with a harness. He likes car rides and is crate trained. Due to his size, it's recommended that children in the home be 10 and older. He will chase the kitties in his foster home, so a dog savvy or no kitties is best. He is up to date with his vaccines, flea and tick treated, Heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500. You must be 21 years old to adopt and provide vet and personal references. An application to adopt him can be found on our website www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com. Click on Adopt, then Dogs for Adoption and scroll to the bottom of the page. All applications are reviewed, and if we feel you might be a good fit for him, you will be contacted to arrange a home visit as well as for permission to speak with your vet. Repeated phone calls and emails with not advance your application. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue and there is no opportunity to meet him before an application has been approved. We thankyou for respecting these guidelines.

🖤ADOPT PANDORA🖤 F | 6Y | 23 KG | Mixed breed | Spayed | UTD on shots | Housebroken | Crate Trained | Good with dogs | Cat tested | Not kid tested | Fostered in London A gift from the Gods themselves. The jewel that lights up every room she is in. Our Pandora will open your world up with newfound joy, adventure and tons of cuddles! You know what they say, girls just wanna have fun and Pandora is no exception! So take her on walks or show her some cool tricks, she is here for a good time! She may seem a little reserved when you first meet her, but after some time, she can come out of her shell and make new furry and human friends! Her sweet curiousity leads her to want to make doggie friends, and with the right support and introductions, she can develop great canine companions. With new humans, Pandora would love it if you introduced her to your friends so she can warm up to them and make them her friends too! Noises can be a bit scary for Pandora, so it is something to be mindful of as you guys work together to help her adjust to her new life. She is also a flight risk within the first couple of weeks, meaning even in a fully enclosed yard and in the house - it's important to keep that leash on until she's fully decompressed and settled in. As with any dog, Pandora would greatly benefit from proper structure, boundary setting, and lots of love and patience. She is an absolute gem and is looking for the right family to help her sparkle to the max!

AGE: 3 Years SEX: Female BREED: Lab Mix ENERGY LEVEL: Medium DOG FRIENDLY?: Yep! CAT FRIENDLY?: Likely! KID FRIENDLY?: Yep! (Dog-savvy kids) FOSTER IG: @bureks.foster.friends Meet Miya! Her love language is snuggling close, and nothing makes her happier than someone who will scratch her head and give her belly rubs. She enjoys leisurely walks filled with good sniffs, playing catch, and polishing off a hearty bowl of kibble. Miya is a gentle, easygoing girl who is pretty low maintenance. She’s adjusting wonderfully to city living; she handles a busy neighbourhood with no trouble and is only a bit more cautious once the sun goes down. She can be a bit of a puller on leash, so some extra training will help her shine. She currently lives with another dog, and the two adore spending time together, whether they’re playing or cuddled up side by side. True to her lab roots, she loves her toys and gathers them proudly into her own little stash. She’s also mastered crate training, sleeping soundly through the night and greeting her people each morning with pure joy. Smart and eager to please, she learns quickly and already sits patiently while her foster family sets down her meals. Miya has met a handful of new people and tends to be shy at first, needing a bit of time to warm up. She’s comfortable with a few visitors coming over but can be nervous around larger groups, preferring to observe and approach at her own pace. She previously lived with children and adored them, and she’d do well with dog-savvy kids. While she hasn’t formally met any cats, she’s been calm and curious when passing them on walks and would likely adjust well to sharing her home with one. If you’re searching for a sweet, cuddly, and laid-back companion to join you in your everyday adventures, Miya may be the perfect match!
